Finally tried it out here today! I live right across the street and have passed by this place so many times. Really happy I made the decision to go in. I am a regular to eyebrow threading because I have sensitive skin and prefer not to get them waxed. However, hadn't had them done for way too long because last time (at a different place) they were done too thin and had some holes :( Astha did my eyebrows and she was so sweet and gentle! Nice place to get in and get out, though they do get a little busy but I've never had to wait more than 10 minutes. You can't beat the price-$5.99 is the cash price for eyebrows, and they do an excellent job (and are so nice!). Even at $7.99 for the card price, that's a steal compared to a few of the other local places. Studio is clean and very straight forward - a line of chairs to sit and wait, and usually 2 chairs open for customers. Not a fancy boutique or salon or anything, but I appreciate the simple set up and great job they do to tame my wild brows. read more

Love this place. Astha is usually here with other ladies. But there is always a wait with Astha, however she is worth waiting for. She shapes brows portioned to your face unless you want a more dramatic brow, then tell her so. The second lady I do like here, I forget her name at the moment (she looks like from Indian Decent long hair and she's usually there on Tuesday.) she is light handed when threading. I've visited Kaya twice, with excellent results. The first time, I brought a family member who was also delighted with her service. As many have posted, there was quite the line! The wait, however, wasn't really that long. Today, there were only a couple people and my turn was mere minutes from when I signed in. The threading salon is bright and cheerful, with plenty of comfy chairs for guests who are waiting. If you happen to come while the exterior of the building is being updated, don't worry. I love this threading place. The girl in chair 4 is amazing. I haven't tried anyone else but I am really happy with her. I get my whole face threaded and she always takes her time and makes sure I leave there happy. At first I was skeptical about getting my whole face done since I had never do threading, well it hurts way less than waxing or plucking, I would describe the sensation as someone lightly letting go of a rubber band on your face, but very lightly doesn't hurt at all. They so tend to get really busy on weekends, so my advice, go there right when they open. read more

Great prices for hair threading, but OMG the wait absolutely sucks!!!!! When I visited the establishment, there was only 1 threader working. There was a line, but I decided to wait anyways. 45 minutes later........I should've came another day because the wait was beyond annoying (even though the threader was very efficient and worked quickly. Been going here for a while now, especially if I forget to get my brows done during visits to Cerritos. They do a good job here. Shop is clean and the girls are nice. So far no botched eyebrows! If you have busy brows like me, they will also trim them for you :) If you frequent this place often, ask for a punch card. 11th service is free. Every time I've gone here there has only been one girl working and there has always been a wait, maybe 10-20 minutes. Be prepared to wait. I think they're most busy after 5pm. This was my second time getting my eye-brows threaded, I was really impressed by the service at this location. The lady who threaded my eye-brows did a wonderful job, I felt absolutely no pain. I'm so glad I found this place! A keeper. I had tried threading once in another town for a wedding and have been looking for a good local threading ever since. (I usually get my brows waxed, but I tried a new salon recently, and their wax burned my face so I vowed not to wax again.) I had tried two threaders in N. County: one in Encinitas stood me up while one in the mall was very rude. I needed to find a place before a holiday party and found this on Yelp. The lady at Kaya was so polite and provided great service. The prices are so affordable, I can go more often. Also, she was fast and good! I literally ran in and out during lunch hour and had time to spare. It's not that easy to find places that are affordable, give great service, and customer service oriented, so I highly recommend this place. Absolute HORRIBLE service. Waited over 30 minutes and left because of the horrible service. There were two girls there and only one was doing brows while the other just watched. Didn't do anything besides sit in on of the chairs and look around. In the 30 min 4 people were helped and there were still 3 people ahead of me. It was during this time the worker who was just watching got in the girls chair to get HER brows done even though 3 other customers and myself were still waiting. TERRIBLE! You get a steal when you pay in cash so bring cash! There's a Chase ATM across the street, so since there's almost always a wait, you can sign in and walk over to get your cash. Astha is awesome! When I first started going here, the girl who is always 1st chair always did a great job. Now whenever I get any other girl it doesn't come out that great. They always miss hairs and don't clean up my boyfriend's and my eyebrows very well. Plus, they don't always remember to put the disinfectant or witch hazel on your eyebrows when they are done. Ashta is great. Threading is so much better then waxing lasts much longer and no redness/ irritation of the skin. there is normally a long wait due to the great quality but worth the wait. I moved 30 mins away but it is worth the trip since a botched eyebrow service is easier to get then a regular place that gets the job done correctly! They need more workers but at such a great price and quality of service I make the trip when I get the chance. read more

Well, I don't think she was on her game yesterday. I told her the usual, slight arch but keep thick. Mmmmmm, took me a good month to get used to the thickness I have grown and it was gone as fast as her precious tiny hands can thread. My brows came out higher arched and much thinner. I don't have much, so I like to keep as thick as I can. I believe we have worn her down ladies & gents. I would gladly give her a hand massage for her to thread my brows as the first time we met. Ask for Ashta. She is hands down the best. I tried another threader and wasn't as happy with the results because my eyebrows didn't come out even. So after growing them out and waiting longer between my visits I asked specifically for Ashta to do my eyebrows. I've brought my coworkers here during our lunch and they love her too. She has really lite hands so if it's your first time getting threaded it wouldn't be too painful. If you choose a threader who applies heavier pressure then it does hurt. It's inexpensive, quick and you'll get eyebrows that suit your face. read more

First thing I noticed as I walked in was how spotless this place looked so clean and I loved how all their stations are set up very cute. I came inside was asked to sign in waited about 10 min not bad I was expecting longer because there was about 4 other people waiting. The girl in station 2 took me I wasent able to get her name but she did what she could with my over plucked brows and gave me tips as well. I will be coming back cash price is now $6.99 and I believe one dollar more for credit/debit. Sure, maybe I should've went back in to have them fixed, but I didn't want to chance having them messed up even more.
