The other treats and the quiche are not enclosed. They are beautifully displayed, however, I have wondered why they are not enclosed in a standard bakery case. My concerns (about the openness) are flies and other flying insects landing on the food, possible improper food temperature, and the commercial scents being absorbed into the open treats. For example, I have not purchased quiche because it is out in the open without any refrigeration. We visited in the afternoon and a sliced quiche was out for purchase. I made sure to take a picture of every shelf and display when I visited them this past Saturday. I had the triple chocolate and praline double scoop cup. The Praline had pecans, but it also had some kind of cookie/pie crust crumbles inside that added a really nice crunch. The triple chocolate was rich and deeply chocolate-y. I have only tried a couple of the chocolates thus far, but at $2.95/piece, they are competitively priced compared to similar shops. My mom got the dark chocolate fudge and it was gone before I could ask her about it. Luckily, I also got some dark chocolate fudge and a peanut butter chocolate fudge. I'm looking forward to it! They are currently looking for help, so if you happen to be into making chocolates or want to work in a unique type of store- this might be a fit for you! The employees were very nice and remained patient with us as we traversed the shop and snapped pictures of everything. They are a cash-less business, so bring your CC and earn some points! Right now, they are decorated from the upcoming Christmas holiday, but it seems the owner likes to set up different decorations and displays and offers unique items around various holidays. I called before I went, just to make sure that the bakery would have a cake available. However, when I called, the person told me that they did not have a cake available for me today because they would need time to prepare the cake I wanted. But...she offered an alternative...delicious cupcakes. I hung up with her and thought about it... and loved her idea. I drove to the bakery, which was only 10 minutes away from my house. When I arrived, I found out that I had spoken with the owner on the phone. She was so sweet and helped me pick out some great cupcakes. My husband and I loved all of them! My advice to you is to go, grab a cake (or cupcake), and enjoy yourself!
