She called for assistance to get to the restroom, my mom made several attempts to get their help. She got out of bed and to just fall on the floor. one of the nurses called us to notify us that my mom fell and there were no witnesses. But the person that shared room with is the one that called the nurses and they immediately went to assist her. I found out that she has not been taken care, my mom looks weak, thin and almost unconscious. My mom cannot speak or feed herself at this time due to the negligence of the doctors and nurses that work at this facility. They did not do any routine lab work, but until after she fell. We had to ask them to check their vital signs to see what was wrong with my mom, the supervisor RN went and asked my mom if she was feeling okay and this is the way they tell if the patients are doing well or not. Be aware that this facility has a history of patients fallen and no one is reporting this issues to the health department or the city. This facilities need to be monitor closely to protect our elderly. I found out about patients frequently fallen and this facility still operates like nothing happens. Please help me to watch this facility and advocate for the patients that have no families around them or know how their relatives are taken care of. I hope you can help to voice my concerns to the public. Thank you for your time

LIfetime collections of books, paintings, artwork, treasured possessions, professional archives, multigenerational family photos and records, our personal belongings, all destroyed. The turmoil of homelessness followed. And adding to our deep anxiety was that a large suspiciously cancerous tumor threatening my life had been discovered inside my bladder in December. I am profoundly grateful to Nikkei Senior Gardens for allowing me to have a short-term stay in their beautiful facilities in recovering from over three hours of surgery at Cedars-Sinai Hospital on March 20th while undertaking a program of weekly immunotherapy treatment with the support of its knowledgeable and caring staff and welcoming community of residents and volunteers. The Japanese and Japanese American social and cultural experience at Nikkei Senior Gardens has been bolstering in seeking to restore my health and renew my life with purpose and dignity. Here every day I have had rewarding experiences and formed lasting friendships while participating in organized activities (morning chair-based Tai Chi type exercises particularly) and enjoying walks in the beautiful adjoining curated gardens and walkways that modestly but appropriately honor the dedicated founders and donors. In rejoining my family I will miss the rhythms of daily life here and everyone I have met and befriended, but my family and I will forever be grateful to the directors and staff of Nikkei Senior Gardens for their generosity and humanity.

She was in a skilled nursing facility for two weeks and I was not happy with the care she was receiving there. So, I moved her back home to NSG. The Executive Director worked closely with me and helped me with this decision and my mother's move back to NSG. When she returned home, she was welcomed by everyone - staff and other residents. This greatly lifted her spirits. Before her accident, she participated in the many activities such as exercises and bingo in the morning followed by art projects or games in the afternoon. This had become part of her routine and she was eager to return to it. She was able to make a very good recovery with the help of NSG staff and private caregivers. The NSG staff are wonderful. They are cheerful and want to help. NSG is very well run. It is very clean and the meals are varied and delicious. When my mom's microwave oven broke down recently, it was replaced right away. All the major holidays are celebrated. I am very grateful for NSG and the healthy and fun environment it provides for my mom!

She had her own room tv with her own ac unit and a hepa air filtration system. Very clean environment. It was as if she was in her own home Unfortunately, due to Covid, we all couldn't visit her. Since she was on hospice, they allowed my mom to be by her side during the time of her passing. They made it really easy for my family and would recommend to anyone ! Even after 3 weeks they accommodated us with everything and was very friendly Thank you heavenly assisted living for making my grandmothers last memories special.

Fortunately, I had experience with assisted living through my parents in Orange County. I knew what to ask about, what to look out for and, most importantly, how the staff operates on a day to day basis. I couldn't have been more satisfied with both what I heard, saw and how my mother-in-law was treated. A first time for my wife's family so it was not going to be easy. Steve took care of so many things, worked seamlessly to attend to every large and small detail. Flexible, listens and remembers every bit of your concerns. Excellent communication day or night. Just before Covid regulations took hold I was able to see the home. The facilities at Heavenly was better than photos show. Super clean, crisp and well laid out. If you ever see a typical assisted living place, you will plainly notice how well Heavenly is set up. Plenty of space, large rooms, great light and ventilation. The place and personnel is a place for a person to recover and thrive. Do I recommend, absolutely. If your task is to call places and figure out a solution for your elderly parent, call Heavenly and ask all your questions - be direct and you'll get honest direct answers to help you navigate through this process.
