Lets get this out of the way: I'm an adult and I collect Jellycat Amuseable food plushies with no shame. These plushies are adorable, well made, and cuddly. Who doesn't like looking at an adorable plush that smiles at you? I was on the hunt for the Blushing Egg to complete my amuseables boiled egg family. Well, the store by chance had it! Ordering online is simple and the check out is so simple. I added another little guy - the mini Clementine (affectionately now named Carlitos the Clementine) to the cart as well because, why not? I called to see if my husband could pick up the plushies on his way home from work despite the order being under my name. The person that picked up the phone was super nice and assured me that it's okay if my husband picks it up. I'm happy to support a local toy shop by purchasing more Jellycat plushies in the future.

Nephew officially transfixed by the toy train on display.

I just visited this store with my four year old nephew. I cannot tell you how happy, in a world where EVERYTHING seems to only come in an Amazon box, that this little gem of a sole proprietorship exists. This cozy and inviting store is full of toys that beckon young hands. To the store's credit, children are invited to do exactly that - experience the toys on offer with their own hands. There is even a rewards program. This day, my relative returned a toy as it was not a match for the family's needs. The return process was pleasant and straightforward. To boot, the rewards program meant that my nephew got a new red ambulance for no money out of pocket. As long as stores like this exist, America will flourish. Play well, my friends!

Me and my gf loved this toy store! We stopped in and she bought a cute bunny plushie which was so soft! I am so glad businesses like this still exist.

My stepmom surprised my toddler with tickets for Messy Madness, and we had heard lots of great…read morethings about it and were SO excited. I had a question before the event and contacted them via Facebook. They were quick to respond, answered my question helpfully, and the Saturday night before the event at 4:51pm they responded, "See you tomorrow :)" after I thanked them for their reply. So Sunday morning, we gathered all our spare clothes and towels to clean up and got my mom and sister in the car with us and drove the 30 minutes across town to Kids Klubhouse where it was being hosted. We arrived with 10 minutes to spare and there were no cars out front, no lights on inside. We hoped for the best and walked up, but alas the door was locked. I immediately contacted my stepmom to see if she had gotten a cancellation notice, then checked the event online while I waited for her reply. Apparently our 10am class was cancelled, as was the 8am class advertised for earlier that day. Come to find out, they emailed out a cancellation notice at 8:45pm the night prior, giving barely a 12 hour notice before the event was supposed to start, due to "lack of ticket sales." My stepmom's in Indiana, so they sent it at midnight her time, and it went to her junk mail (which obviously they couldn't control, but maybe if they'd given more than a half day's notice, she would have checked her junk mail). My stepmom emailed them about what happened and was told, "As you were the only attendees the owner advised me to cancel, refund and replace the tickets for another date. I emailed you as soon as it was cancelled and updated the event on Facebook and Eventbrite to state cancelled just in case." Umm.. if they did all that, why couldn't they update the ONE attendee (me) who had messaged them just a few hours prior via Facebook?! What they did right in this situation: Immediately refunded my stepmom without her having to ask, and issued free replacement tickets should we choose to sign my daughter back up for Messy Madness. But .... I really don't think I feel like checking their event page over and over leading up to the event to make sure they don't cancel last minute on us again, especially after we reserved our morning and coordinated with family to go to the original event. If we do decide to redeem the free tickets, I'll be sure not to tell my daughter in advance so I don't potentially set her up for another disappointment if they do cancel again.

I'm not sure why we waited so long to visit. My 2 year old looks forward to it every week now. They…read morehave such great programs and it is amazing to watch the kids get creative. I can't wait to go to a Grown Folks night. Seriously, go make some art at AAC... you won't regret it!

Pros: Free parking Reliable WIFI Free coffee/hot water offered in dining area 24/7 Cons: The toilet flush was very weak and would clog easily No movie channels on TV Gym is small and smells dirty Only one, slow elevator. And it makes a loud dinging sound on each stop, so if you are in a room near the elevator, you can hear it from your room Overall hotel feel is old and could use a renovation. If you visit, you HAVE to try the sausage gravy (& biscuits)!!! Free coffee and tea, I think 24 hours. But at the end of the night, they ran out of hot water. We told one of the receptionists that the hot water was empty and she told us she was going to refill it. Atmosphere - Free wifi. Plenty of parking, easy in and out from the freeway. Indoor pool, hot tub. Small Gym. Small business center. Free DVD library, lounge area. Vending machine only on first floor, other floors were empty Coin laundry. FYI - we already told the front desk, but the branch outside our window kept getting blown and hitting our window; this might be a future safety issue. Service - Excellent, the hot breakfast is what took this over the top. The employee in the breakfast room is such a hard worker, please give her a raise!! Price - I think approximately $120 a night. Owner Comment - Congrats on your success since 1991. Holiday Inn, the parent company, has been around since 1952. We had such a good experience (again) with your brand that you might be our go to stay in the future.
