Scheduled duct cleaning. Got a call at 8:16a from Mike the technician stating he would be out at my house about 9:30a. Came to my house about 11a. Once at the house, Mike said he could not perform the requested duct cleaning service. He then suggested getting approximately $4,000 of services which involved sealing off ducts. He was really pressing for me and my wife to accept this new proposal. When I pressed him with questions and more information, he seemingly tap danced around them. He then said we would get a call from his company within the hour from his company trying to convince me to pay for these proposed services at discounted price around $3300. He seemed more about upselling then performing the job he came out for as a technician. This was last Friday. No call of course. Wasted our time unfortunately. I called KC Carpet after finding them online because I needed my carpets cleaned. My recently-deceased dog had numerous accidents in the house before her passing, and upon opening my windows for the first time since her death, I realized the heat and humidity were triggering some unpleasant odors. I got an appointment with them about 1.5 weeks after calling and received several text message reminders leading up to the appointment, as well as a phone call from Kevin on the day-of. Kevin and his brother arrived on time and explained what sort of chemicals/treatments they were using, talked me through how long it would take, told me a bit about their business, and were super-duper friendly with my dog and cat. They completed the job very fast and advised me on when/if they'd need to come out again. I'm delighted with the service I received and wouldn't hesitate to use them again in the future. We needed our ducts cleaned, so we called MC Carpet for a quote. We had previously used them to clean our carpets, and were pleased with them. Kevin provided me with a quote of 12 ducts for $350 + $35 per duct over 12. I had 5% off from the carpet cleaning as well. I was happy with the quote and made an appt. Mike and Anthony came out and couldn't be nicer. Very pleasant. Kevin's quote left off some additional costs of air duct access cost and additional trunk line hookup, which brought up the cost a bit. At least Mike went over the entire cost prior to doing the work. We will use them for our ducts in our Philly condo. read more

I had used KC once before --for a small job out in Willow Grove--for which they did an EXCELLENT job. We had water stains and 'general' dirt on our front porch indoor-outdoor carpet. Easy to schedule with and they confirmed mutliple times......helpful to have those reminders. I received a phone call when they were on their way (again: HELPFUL!) . The two guys who arrived were polite, well spoken, explained everything clearly and were very efficient about doing the actual cleaning. The porch looks much better and I think they might have actually gotten the water stains out.......They also told us what to expect and how to care for the space in the next 24 hours when it is drying. The technician arrived within their 4 hr window. (8:00 am-12:00 pm/Arrived @ 11:00 am.) Technician then stated they do not move furniture or chip furniture. They clean AROUND furniture. (?) I wasn't aware of this ahead of the appointment. My husband wanted to cancel but I decided to let them do the work. Rugs came out just ok. You get what you ask for. Rugs weren't as clean as I wanted. They were in and out in about an hr. Unfortunately I was expecting more but for the value, you get what you paid for. I will use Stanley Steamer for now on. read more

We are moving and in preparation for the move, I wanted to get our rug cleaned...a cream coloured rug in the living room that had not been professionally cleaned since it's purchase 4 years ago i.e. a light color in a high traffic area that had TIME to get dirty. My expectations were high because of this. I reached out to KC because of the reviews on Yelp and they were so quick to respond via messaging through the app, I'm talking 2 minutes later I had a response. They answered all my questions about rates and was able to make an appointment right there via messaging...I didn't have to make a separate call or go to some website which I appreciated. I was able to get an appointment window for the next week. I got a confirmation email right away and another call the day before the appointment. They do all cleanings on site i.e. they come to you. They initially give you a 4 hour window (a little wide so kind of inconvenient but not too bad I guess) then they call you the day of to give you ~30 minute lead time. My window was from 8 am-12 pm on a Tuesday...everything was over and done with by 10 am for me. They came to my home masked, gave us a pretty thorough explanation of the process and what to expect then got to cleaning. They were in and out in less than 20 minutes (of course this will vary by the size of what you need cleaned, my rug was about 8x10 ft). Rug was a little wet when they left and we were advised you let it dry for 10 hours. I would definitely use them again: quick, convenient, professional, they obviously care about their customers and doing quality work. I hired KC to clean my dryer vent. They did a nice job back in 2020 and I expected the same in 2024. They inserted the hose into the vent behind the dryer. I asked if they would clean from the outlet end and they refused. They guaranteed the hose was long enough to do entire length of vent. I took it upon myself after they left to insert my shop vac hose into the outlet end of the vent. It removed a great deal of lint. I was so frustrated that I called the office. The owner offered to send the employees back but at that point, I felt between their effort from the inlet side and my effort from the outlet side the vent was cleaned. read more
