Please Read......Be Careful! If there was an option to leave no stars I would. Unfortunately, I had some fraudulent activity on my account (family member) who purchased flowers through this lady and had them delivered to my parents home. The cost was ridiculous, $240- umm no thanks. So I disputed multiple transactions with my bank since I did not make these purchases. Apparently the person who scammed me also used a scam app to use my phone number and make it seem like it was me (it's 2020 anything is possible). This lady was contacted by my bank in regards to this dispute, the lady called me while I was at work and started questioning me about the purchase. I let her know it was a fraudulent transaction. She then told me "I WILL SHOW UP to the house I delivered the flowers to".... I responded, "ok that's fine." I decided to warn my parents since they are elderly even though they do have cameras. Had she shown up I would've had to file a police report. This is TERRIBLE customer service. I understand she owns this business but to harass me multiple times (from a phone number that is NOT listed as her business number) and to then threaten to show up to a home she delivered to is crossing the line. I also notified the BBB in regards to this situation. ANY business owner should be well aware of the risks they face with disputed charges/claims against their business. This lady took it too far saying she'd show up to a home. Who does that? I ended up calling the lady and explaining the situation about my fraud activity. She completely switched her tone with me. Although she would barely let me get a word in. Once I figured out what happened with my account I called my bank and let them know I found out who made the purchase and they could go ahead and cancel the disputes since I'm handling things on my own with the person who made the charges. Today, 8/24/20 the lady once again has texted me from a phone number that is not her business number, along with a screenshot of her dispute to her bank, telling me "you won." This business is very unprofessional, mixing her own personal emotions with her business etiquette ending up with harassment. A business should NEVER take it this far. Go with Merced Floral or ANY other flower shop. read more

I wasn't at all happy with my arrangements for y grandmother funeral. I ordered a casket spray which was small. I also ordered another Premium spray and it was also small. I asked for lavender and white but got a dark rose color. Very disappointing and I've been calling to speak to someone and have yet to get a response. read more

I am in Dallas, Texas, and wanted to send flowers to my sister in Merced. I didn't decide to do it until the day of her birthday, which was on a Saturday AND during 'quarantine'. I looked online for a florist in Merced, and Gene was my first option, and I'm so glad! A sweet woman answered the phone right away, and all I did was tell her what I was looking for and how much I wanted to spend. This is a long over due review! Recently lost my Dad in July and I looked up florist a few days before the viewing and burial, Keith was able to help me get exactly what i wanted at such a last minutes notice! I also called 3 days before and got another arrangement and Keith was able to get it together and bring it to the funeral home before everyone arrived, myself included. It was the first time I ever had to do a floral arrangement of any kind and Keith was very helpful in giving me feedback on what people normally get and what I can do. I tried to tip (i prefer to tip cash) Keith for the services and last minute changes, but I was running late to the funeral home. When I tried to contact Keith for a venmo account or something i could use to tip, Keith just asked for a review, which already totally deserved a great review . Keith has been through heartaches so KC puts customers and their feelings into consideration. If they cannot do something they will tell you and if you're like how i was, KC will provide you with information and help to get you through difficult times. I wanted to order flowers online because of all the great deals they offer, however I missed the time deadline for the day, so I had to call a florist in Merced,Ca directly. (I live in New Jersey). I called around 3 on a Saturday afternoon and was worried I wouldn't be able to get same day delivery, I was helped by Keith and he assured me it was no problem at all! He asked my budget, I let him know, after finding out the delivery fee, I was unsure If I could afford it, he had me wait on a brief hold, totally adjusted the price to what I could afford and sent out a beautiful bouquet within the next 2 hours. How wonderful is that? I couldn't be more happy with the service that I was provided with from Keith and this business, and nonetheless from 3,000 miles away. 1. The Easter lily that was to have been delivered to the church on Thursday did not get delivered until Saturday. The office was closed and the delivery person 'gave' the lily to someone who happened to be in the chapel. (Someone from the church alerted me to this incidence.) The was displayed on the altar for Easter services in memory of our parents only b/c some wonderful church lady saw to it. xox 2. An Easter bouquet to be delivered on Saturday was not delivered. (Paid extra for Sat. del.) Despite two cars in the driveway, the delivery person rang the doorbell but did not call the recipients' . They were home all day, preparing for Easter. 3. Just got off the phone with a (very rude) woman working at Gene the Florist. She could not tell me when the owner would be in. Really? When I asked why the lily wasn't delivered on Thursday, she said that many workers had canceled and couldn't deliver. When I asked about the undelivered Easter bouquet, she said, "I rang the doorbell." 4. My credit card was charged $10 more than the confirmation price for the lily. When I called to discuss this, a woman said, "The online photo is of a 6" lily in a basket. We have an 8" lily in a ceramic pot." I said that the 6" lily would be fine BUT rather than receive a credit on my card, asked that the $10 be put towards the Easter bouquet; the bouquet that was not delivered!!! TODAY, I called to request - and received - a $10 credit. Gene the Florist had a wonderful reputation in the 80's and 90's. It's been many years since I have lived in Merced and I thought I'd give them my business. I will be be using Merced Floral in the future. read more

The staff was incredible and so accommodating! They were able to shed some light on a very stressful and overwhelming situation. They were able to pull through in such short notice and provided beautiful flowers for a memorial service. Let's just say another florist we had originally ordered flowers from did not follow through with the order and there was a huge mix up with flowers being delivered timely. My son ordered flowers for me for mother's day that were supposed to be delivered on a Friday. It is Thursday of the next week and I still haven't received them. They said they couldn't deliver to my workplace (UC Merced) because they had to go through shipping and receiving. They suggested that I could come and pick them up. I asked that they be delivered instead to my residence. They agreed and said they would be delivered yesterday afternoon. Didn't arrive. I called this morning to follow up. I went with Gene the Florist for my wedding package and the only thing that turned out how I expected was the bridesmaid bouquets and the boutonierres. I emphasized on how I wanted my bridal bouquet to have a romantic look and really wanted a white and pastel pink color scheme. Unfortunately my bouqet did not turn out how I requested and wasn't relatively close to the picture I showed the florist. I ended up getting a bouquet filled with creme and orange roses with a few pink roses in the middle. By the time the flowers were delivered to the church it was too late to do anything about it. I'm giving this florist 2 stars and would not recommend this place for wedding needs. As a bride, it is very disappointing to be promised that you are getting exactly what you are requesting and not get it in the end.
