We had no soffit vents and the insulation was minimal leading to the attic being very hot and humid (in the summer) and cold in the winter. We decided we wanted to rectify this and so I did my due diligence and got three separate quotes. Green Stone Energy's was the highest of the three. However, this was mostly due to the fact that they would do everything to modernize the attic, including insulating, air sealing, adding soffit vents, and an attic fan. Other companies tried to tell me the attic didn't need to be ventilated but I knew that wasn't true. The experience from start to finish was great. Erick was with us through the whole process. I was most impressed by his professionalism during the quote and throughout the attic modernization. All of the workers involved in installing the insulation/ventilation were very polite and walked me through exactly what they were doing. I have temperature sensors throughout the house and so I can already see what a huge difference it's made in keeping the house at a more comfortable temperature. Dutch recommended several steps we could take to resolve the problem, and suggested we hire a carpenter or contractor for the work (since it was not in Green Stone's area of expertise). The situation following this is why I rated with 1 Star. Numerous delays led to 6 months of waiting to schedule and complete work. Once work was scheduled, issues that I wished to have addressed were not addressed in the work that was done. Work that was promised was not completed with some being credited back. However, other work that I wanted to be done I was told would be at additional charge after they were done. Be very careful to get everything in writing clearly and have them walk thru what work they will perform. I had an energy audit done at my old home with another company and never ran into any of the issues I did this time.

On what I told myself was my last attempt I got through to someone but was told the schedulers were in a meeting and that they'd get back to me later that day. However, I never heard from the schedulers. I tried once more and left a (third) voicemail. Still no response. I used Ecobeco for my previous house and was very pleased with them. But from my recent experience, the quality of their customer service seems to have fallen off a cliff.

The project manager,Tom,was with me every step of the way. Not only did he schedule his crews from demo to rebuild and also contacted my insurance company, explained the process to me many, many times. He and his crew did an amazing job. They listened to my thoughts, suggestions, changes and repeat questions. I can not stop talking about this great company.
