Prior to this I went to Best Buy, but they said turn around time was 2 to 3 days so I decided to come here. I needed it fixed now. I knew that the battery needed to be removed, but I didn't have the screws tips to do it on the spot. I'm also a technician and do a lot of labor work too so I know what's involved. I've repaired my phone many times too. By changing the screen and battery and putting it back together. He charged me $125 and took 3 hours to reset it and got it up and running. I was pleased that I got my laptop running. But after doing some research, it was a quick fix, but I guess you pay for the expertise. I just wanted to see if I could come back and trust this guy but I'm not a fan. To reset it, you hold a set of keys on the keyboard to reset it or you unscrew 4 screws from the back and remove the battery plug back in and that's it. I asked him what he had to do and he said a " hard" reset. That was all. That was the price I had to pay to get it up and running and he knew that because I told him so that I needed it fixed so I can work on my project. He heard of my predicament. Not a fan of this businesses like this. Best Buy would have just told me straight up and fixed it.

I found this place on Yelp, sent a message, within a less than a minute, I got a quoted price, what time to come in and roughly how long it would take. No BS, no "we'll have to see what condition the phone is in, in order to give you the price", just exact price right on the spot. I came in at the exact appointment time, and to my surprise Jerry, the manager was there waiting for me. Dropped off the phone to him, he told me to come back in 30-45 minutes. He didn't give me any paper or receipt, so I felt a bit worried since there was no proof I left it with him but I did so anyways. Came back 45 minutes later and there was Jerry waiting for me again, showed me the phone and it was a brand new screen, worked even better than before and i was out the door in a few minutes. One of the best experiences I've ever had with repair service and definitely making this my new go to place for any repairs. After a pet-related mishap caused my son's computer to shut down I decided to contact Sam & Marcus…read morewith Expert Reaction based on them being local, and very highly rated here on Yelp. While they do "house-calls" this issue was a bit more serious, and so I coordinated with Marcus to drop off the computer so he could trouble-shoot the problem. (Note: their current location IS inside the yard for the auto body workshop.) I also left them with the brand new PSU I'd bought from Newegg, thinking it may have been the problem, but wisely deciding to use their services rather than have a go at it on my own. Because as it turned out it was NOT the PSU, but the motherboard and RAM, and after replacing those components Sam and Marcus were able to get the PC up & running. They also very considerately did not even open the PSU box, even leaving its shrinkwrap intact, making it an easy RMA for me. The lads stayed in contact with me during the entire process, which took a little over a week, from the initial diagnosis, to sourcing the new components, the installation, and then 'burn-in' to make sure there were no other issues.
