We have been waiting for a true Indian restaurant to come to Norman, not buffet, but a sit-down dining restaurant for several years. The food was amazing! The chef came to the table and ask if we had questions before ordering and checked at the end of the meal that we were happy. The food was fresh, hot and delish! We want this restaurant to succeed! If it keeps up its high standards, it will have no problems and Norman will have another GEM!! So excited for them. We haven't had this quality since we were in La Jolla, CA! The only thing I could say they need to add to the menu is one of the wonderful Indian beers. They are a perfect complement to a spicy dish! Liquor licenses are expensive and take a bit of time to obtain but hopefully they can add a good regional beer to compliment the food!!! read more

Tried this place out. It was clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. The food was all good and flavorful. Came here for my birthday. Food was solid. We had the chicken biryani(actual parts of the chicken, not just little tiny pieces), chicken tikka, samosas, and garlic naan. It was very good, as was the mango lassi. It WAS NOT watery, it was very nice and creamy. Staff was very helpful and the atmosphere was warm. We ate at Kebabish Bites in Norman, OK yesterday. Since it was our first time, we decided to order a round of kebabs to try them out - ground chicken, ground beef, and chicken (boti). They were all listed as "street food" and were delivered on a single sizzling plate with some sliced onions and peppers. We divided them into thirds, and each had a different favorite (well, our resident beef eater who doesn't care for chicken - liked all three equally!). That is because the food was absolutely delicious!!! We ordered another round of the same, and the three of us left comfortably full! While there are many options with rice, we also had the pleasure of eating low carb / keto without having to give special instructions or omit part of the meal. Norman has lost some of my favorite restaurants in the last two or three years, Misal Of Norman being one of them. I love Indian food and ate there regularly. I and several of my friends have been genuinely sad any time the loss is mentioned. So it is my pleasure to report that Kebabish Bites has appeared to take away some of that pain. I had seen some favorable reviews, which were corroborated by a friend, so I decided to see for myself. I was not disappointed. My party ordered butter chicken, chicken tikka masala and chicken biryani, along with a pakoray appetizer and garlic nan. The onion and potato pakoray were good but not great, but everything else was outstanding. In fact I would go so far as to describe these dishes as best-available. Even the nan. If you have enjoyed any of these dishes elsewhere, you owe it to yourself to try them here. The seasoning is so flavorful and satisfying. There is some spice that I can't identify that gives these dishes a unique flavor that will keep me coming back. The atmosphere is very nice without being showy. The pricing is very reasonable. The service could have been a little more attentive, but was acceptable. If they maintain this level of quality Kebabish Bites should be around for a long time, perhaps even 40 years like Misal. Stopped by last night on my way home for a to go order. They were super friendly and informed me that next time I can go through their drive through for faster service. However, their service was fast enough and I enjoyed the atmosphere. Food prices were very reasonable for a decent sized portion. I was able to eat half last night and half today for lunch. Visited on opening day- Mango lassi: made from fresh mangos and so refreshing! Butter chicken- creamy and perfectly seasoned Naan- soo good! You could tell they make them fresh. Chicken seekh kabab- not spicy (great for kids), i personally like them spicy but it still tasted good. Karahi gosht- meat was a little tough but the gravy tasted good. First day was busy, so our order got mixed up but they were very accommodating about it. I'd suggest- adding napkins at the tables; wrapping utensils in the napkins for more efficiency; having the wait staff learn menu items :) But other than that it's good Pakistani food, friendliest people, and so glad there's a good place nearby to grab a bite to eat at. read more

I've been here three times now in the past month. I should probably stop eating so much Indian food, but that's beside the point... Kebabish Bites has great food for great prices. Know that a lot of what you order already includes rice, so don't be like me and accidentally keep ordering double rice and then have to live off rice for the next few days, unless you want to or have to, which at this point I have to because I keep spending my money here instead of on groceries. Had dinner here for the first time tonight---AMAZING butterchicken! Very flavorful, perfectly cooked, absolutely delectable. Our table also ordered some kebabs, which came without sticks (totally fine because we cut them up and shared them anyway) and chicken biryani (too spicy for my friend's mom, but delightful for the rest of us!). All very good, although I feel that serving the kebabs with a side sauce (maybe tamarind?) would really complete the experience. Also, you must order rice separately from some of the main dishes. As for service, you can tell that the restaurant is still finding its feet, BUT a lot can be forgiven, considering every challenge was met with a smile and very polite apology. First few times I went there, their food was amazing and at a very reasonable price. As a South Asian this was something I'd been searching for- good home style food that's affordable. Nowadays it seems the quality fobtjeir food has degraded. I had paneer Tikka masala delivered and the gravy was like water without enough thickness and consistency. There wasnt nearly enough paneer in the box. The taste was also affected. Ten bucks we'll never get back. Please stop sacrificing on the quality of your food and try to keep it consistent Kebabish. read more

Stopped here last week for take-out. I ordered Chicken Biryani, butter chicken, cheese Naan, and samosas. I got a lot of food for the price I paid. The Biryani was good and spicy and the butter chicken was very tender and flavorful. My son and I both loved the cheese naan and I wished I had ordered more than 1 piece. The only disappointment was the samosas because they "didn't have any". I ordered them at 3pm and it was explained by my waiter that they only had them after 5pm and so they were not available to try. Too bad because I have read that they are quite tasty. I went here with a friend for dinner, and the service was amazing. We were greeted very fast and the server was very nice and welcoming. The atmosphere is so quaint and beautiful, it's decorated extremely well. They have a large variety of food on their menu, and the food I ordered was absolutely fantastic. I've never had naan better anywhere else. The price fits perfectly for the great quality of the meal. This is hands down the best Indian food in Norman. Staff were very kind and suggested items from the menu. Very reasonably priced and the serving size is huge. I tried the chicken biryani, it was amazing. Cooked perfectly, tender and the seasoning was outstanding. The Nan was giant and appeared to be homemade. We also tried the chicken kabob (they sold out of beef). This was also delicious. Very different then most kababs I've tried but a pleasant surprise. The atmosphere is nice (it seems they've renovated the inside). Do not be turned away if you have eating Indian food at this location before and was disappointed . This is a new restaurant, new food, new staff, and you will be glad you tried! A side note, this is a brand new restaurant and the staff seems a bit new as well. Occasionally waters were not refilled unless asked but the staff was extremely kind and I chalk it up to a small new restaurant hiccup. 10/10 recommend read more
