Gyros are a favorite of mine. I like the meat toasted and crispy. I get this option from the old Greek House on OU's Campus Corner from my college days. The man who cut the meat off the spicket would ask if you wanted it toasted and I always said yes. Hardest working couple I've ever known. Monty's comes pretty close. read more

I loved that they also had other choices for our picky kiddos, who enjoyed their hamburger and mini corn dogs! My son even tried the Gyro meat for the first time and loved it! Yummy. Monty or the guy I assume is Monty, clearly Greek, clearly not born here, my first clue this was going to be AMAZING! So I ordered the Chicken Gyro plate and the BF he ordered the gyro plate! 1st off you get a ridiculous amount of meat with a cucumber sauce that is perfection not too rich, creamy texture that accents the perfectly spiced meat perfectly! Basically it was perfect. You also get a small salad and made when you order fries! In the words of the BF "HUSH your mouth!" It did take a minute to get our food, however for our wait he gave us a piece of baklava on the house. I am possibly on a giant sugar high it was so sweet and rich and I could only have one bite! But aren't deserts supposed to be sweet and rich? I think so! It was delightful! Crisp and flavorful! It's not much for scenery however I'll take no scenery for food this good any day of the week. I've been driving past the sign off eastern for over a year and finally stopped to see what it was all about. I love gyros, I love fries. I was slightly disappointed when I walked in the machine the meat was on was open and not on. He got up and turned it on and closed it up to warm it. Doesn't seam very health code par to me? Me and my buddy both got a gyro and my meat was very hard like it had been setting for along time but my buddy's must have birthed from my jerky meat because his was tender and tasty. Much smaller then I've had at MANY OKC locations. Overall it's okay, I will give them another shot and update the review if it gets any better read more

Oh man. Just finished eating here. It was our first time here and honestly, walking in, I was pretty skeptical. There was no one there and looked old school like it's been here very long. We got the gyro. And man they made it right when we ordered. It was so fresh when we got our food. The meat literally tore off, not tough, and so flavored to perfection. I'm such a picky eater and hate when bread or meat is tough, old, over or under seasoned and bread is rough and so on (you guys know what I'm talking about). im that person that will complain and whine about how shitty the food is. I'm picky because I hate paying for food that sucks because I work hard for my money! I rarely eat out because I hate being disappointed and I'd rather make it myself but man this place was bomb. I'm so happy we took a chance with this place. The people were so sweet. The place is so humble. Please support local and come to this place and support them to keep them going. It might not be a pretty restaurant but the gyros and baklava are really good. Their tzatziki is a little stronger flavored than elsewhere but delicious nonetheless. You won't find Falafel or Humus at Monty's, but they do have decent hamburgers, chicken sandwiches and French fries for the american palate. While you might have a wider variety of authentic Greek food elsewhere, they definitely have a great, juicey gyro and VERY good prices. read more

I think this is the best place to get gyros in the metro area. Plenty of meat, perfect amount of onions and tomatoes, I think the best sauce around and always hot and fresh. Don't let the decor scare you, I don't think it's changed since going there about 15 years ago, the deliciousness more than makes up for it.
