David (and Hunter) did a spectacular job on our concrete path. It was a big job removing an old…read morecement pad. They worked so hard and did beautiful work! Thanks David! Much appreciated!

I needed David to form two 3' high and 10-12" thick frost walls and, let's just say, it didn't…read morework. I came home at 3:30pm after work and spent 4 hours working with him (with my tools since his died and he didn't have a charger, and my material since he had nothing, not even a box of screws), when the pour was supposed to be at 1pm that afternoon. Then he no called no showed the next day and I had to spend another 4 hours (after work with 2 carpenters) taking apart what he did and reworking it all. See the images of his formwork versus ours, a 2x4 on the flat offers no strength and can't be used to form concrete. I then had to take a day out of work to place the concrete myself. If I wasn't in construction and knew what was right and wrong, his form work would've collapsed and ruined a brand new deck and pool, and completely decimated my schedule for completion. He's not the guy to call for any form work, maybe flat work, but it's your gamble with what I experienced. 0 Stars DO NOT RECOMMEND!!! UPDATE: His response is laughable at best and slander at worst, but this is the type of conduct and professionalism (or lack thereof) to expect from the owner of Hazard & Sons Concrete. If he had called to take some accountability or apologize for the stress and pain he caused, I waited a month and a half before posting for anything from him, this review/update would certainly have been different. David called (4pm) me yesterday to "discuss" the review, he then text (8:30pm) with a ridiculous statement that included a reference to drinking (as also mentioned in his response, but I would question his state of mind considering the timing of the text). This is interesting since I don't drink and I got out there to help him immediately after I got home from work. Just another lie to try and shift blame from his incompetence. Since the response is so full of false statements I'm not going to get into a line by line response. It would simply take too long and its not worth my time. I will say the only truth is that it rained and he had to try and work with the weather, but I offered tarps and canopies which he refused. He sent a text at 1pm in the afternoon, when he was supposed to be there at 7am to start and I reached out to him at 8:30 and 9:30 for status and got no response, so he could try and save face and make sure I wasn't mad at him (so this review wouldn't happen). This is after multiple discussions and site visits to plan the job. He knew all the details and failed. The screenshots speak to me offering to make weather accommodations and him no call no show the next day. The job was so hard you couldn't do it but I could, when I'm not a concrete contractor. That's interesting. He can makeup whatever lies he wants about us working together but he and I know the truth. Here's the deal: You can believe the guy who's job is done and behind him and has nothing to gain or lose, OR the guy who's resorting to lying to defend his business from an honest review of his poor performance, and lack of experience, ability, and work ethic!!!! Either way I'm done with this guy, and this review, and you should be too!
