Went to dinner with a group of family last night and 3 hours later... still not everyone was served. Finally brought out the last of the food- one plate at a time- and they forgot 2 of the meals. Food quality was poor for those lucky enough to get served. The waitress was very embarrassed and apologetic but it was a bad situation and she kept saying the kitchen is swamped... The thing that bothered me was that people in our party ordered food from the bar... ate and joined us and our food was another hour to be brought one plate at a time by the server. They are obviously short staffed and their priority was obviously bar revenue over food revenue. I applaud them for trying to return to normal but they are not even remotely ready for that. read more

Stopped in today as part of a let's do something new Saturday! Found a review on a Facebook group that suggested it. Why not...off we went. On the drive my bougie butt decided to read the yelp reviews. OMG someone was there 3 weeks ago...not a single good word. Well crap... what kind of fresh heck 2020 place are we about to walk into???? We pulled up walked in..greeted immediately and sat. Wonderful drinks... the food fantastic. But the best part... the very best part every single employee went above and beyond to enforce government required restrictions while being pleasant and polite. To top it off Laura??? We've been reading reviews from a local FB food group and it seemed like people liked Keeleys. Tried them tonight on a Sunday around 8pm. What a mistake. First we walked inside of the restaurant. There was no one at any of the tables and a handful of people at the bar. We really didn't know what to do so we found our way to the outside patio from inside. There was no sign stating if someone needed to seat you. People at the bar didn't say a word as we awkwardly made our way outside. We found a table and seated ourselves. A female and male waiter fought right in front of us over who had to take our table. Ridiculous. Seriously? So we waited while they did that, which took about 5 minutes and then another 10 to get our drink order. We get our drinks and then wait another 15 minutes to have our order taken. How does this place have any good reviews? We finish our drinks and wait for someone to take our next drink order. Nothing. My boyfriend goes up to the patio bar to order for us. The male bartender and another female make eye contact with him three times, but don't say anything because they are counting their tips. So we got up and left. We will never go back. We left and went to J&J in Dallas where we always get good service, they have good food and an awesome craft beer selection. Go to Keeley's if you want terrible service and need to leave to eat elsewhere. We never just leave a restaurant. It was so bad that we were forced to. **There was an older lady sitting at the bar who clearly got overserved. She stood up, dropped her purse and hobbled out of the place. I really wanted to give this place 5 stars but too much went wrong. It was my first time visiting Keeley's. I had heard a great many peoplethings about the place. It has a beautiful deck. It was more crowded than I expected for a weeknight. Our waitress came over & started off the evening by saying "This isn't my table but I was told to wait on you." I thought this doesn't bode well I would soon realize how right I was. Our drinks were brought over quickly. However, we had to wait quite a while for our food. My order came out very wrong, I ordered a turkey Reuben but received a ham Reuben. I can't eat ham so I let the waitress know & she didn't seem too concerned. There were 5 of us & we were only supposed to get chips but our plates came out with french fries. But only 2 of us got charged for the fries & I was one of the people that got charged. So, now to add insult to injury, I am expected to pay for the wrong sandwich plus fries I didn't order. Seriously? SMH! I told the waitress & she went on this rant about how the kitchen staff couldn't get anything right Hmm.... not my problem. My check was corrected & the rest of my friends said their food was delicious. I will say the boneless bites with Keeley's pub sauce that we ordered as an appetizer were Yum-o! Both round and square pizza are pretty good but the secret here is their pagach. While not your typical pagach pie, they add hash browns to the mashed potatoes and cheese to give it a great flavor/texture combo. Boneless bites are pretty good too. I can only speak to the pizza, strombolis, and wings, but I always enjoy a quick stop at Keely's. For the nicer weather, they have a fantastic deck. Some odd incidents with the wait staff. Nobody serving the tables ever knows the draft list, which for a bar is a little strange. Three stars is all I'm giving Keeley's, despite being a loyal customer. "Why?" you ask. Well let's start off with the positives. Keeley's has an outstanding deck great for a summer-time dinner or drinks, if you want, in the great outdoors. During the summer months Keeley's has a good vibe. No for the the bad and the ugly. Unfortunately the deck get's packed and the people who get there early, stay there late. So if you show up at 7:00 on a Saturday, don't get your hopes up that you're getting a table or even a bar stool. The great Yogi Berra said it best when he uttered the phrase, "Nobody goes there anymore, it's too crowded." Furthermore, although open all year long, Keeley's is strictly a summer-time bar and restaurant. Yes, once the temperature gets below 75 it's a whole new ballgame. The inside is dark, sometimes loud from the jukebox and the summer favorites on the menu just don't have the same feel in the fall and winter. read more

I really enjoy this place. We've gone there twice and there was no wait either time. The menu has a lot of variety. My personal favorite is the BBQ garlic boneless wings. Their fries are really good too - nice and crunchy! The waitresses that we've had were both very friendly and checked in with us pretty often. I'll definitely be going there again! read more

Keeley's has been obviously experiencing the same as all businesses. Not enough, and I'll be kind, "qualified employees" to keep things running smoothly. The downsizing of the menu is a testament to that. The main problem that I see is that you have too many employees that really just don't care and not enough or willing to do the job correctly. (This applies to your kitchen staff also.) You do have a few terrific waitresses for example, Valerie and her daughter. Also, Tina seems very affable. Others are ok. The problem is that you have a number of employees that should be working at other establishments, that are, let's just say, a little more on the lower end of the spectrum. Unfortunately, right now you can't do that because there's no one to replace them. But I if owned this terrific business, I would seriously start looking for other employees who could do the job like the three I mentioned above and slowly replace the one's who can't or won't do the job correctly. Businesses ebb and flow and sometimes go threw rapids. They can easily repair themselves if small course corrections are made by the owner and you find those that are willing to just care a little more than those working there currently do. I still give it 5 stars, it will turn around when things get back to more normal. My recommendation to anyone that wants to go out for a nice meal and a few drinks is simple. Look for the waitress that will give service you want. If you request to be waited on by certain individuals, and the other employees are standing around wondering why no one wants to go into their section, they will either step up their game, or if not, then maybe, they should find a new sport. read more

It's one of the only places with outdoor seating in this little town so that's a plus. Good selection of beers on tap. That said, the food is very lackluster. I understand the menu is there to basically sop up the booze but they can at least lower prices a bit. I paid $6.50 for "pretzel logs" which were frozen pretzel nuggets you can find in a in the freezer section accompanied with flavorless high school cafeteria cheese dip. The Only thing that this place has going for it is their big Deck. The Bartenders make it seem that its an inconvenience to serve the Customer. Ordered a steak Stromboli with cheese and onions and was very disappointed, Stromboli was over cooked and was very bland. Also ordered wings with garlic Parmesan sauce. Wings were very small and didn't have much sauce. It was a Thursday night and place wasn't very busy so there is no excuse for such poor t will be a long time before I try the place again, if ever. They have the best parmesan boneless bites I've ever had and really good Sicilian pizza. It's very affordable and a nice atmosphere. I can't wait to go back with my friend once he's in town. I originally went for the beer but the food was fantastic :) I only spent about 15 bucks. Karen seems to be a competent bartender but eating, picking your teeth and cleaning your mouth with your tongue while serving your customers is disgusting.
