This review was very mixed. We'd heard great things about this place and wanted to try a new place as we've started exhausting a lot of local places. The decor was great, the drinks were FANTASTIC, my food was about a 5 out of 10. I had the carbonara. Very oily and not creamy at all. I would have used a different blend of cheeses to make it creamier and less oily. My guess is they used Asiago. Not bad but not as great as I was expecting. My wife had the red beet salad. Shockingly a $20 salad with canned beets on it. Mediocre at best but the canned beets ruined it. If your getting a salad that features a specific vegetable wouldn't you want that vegetable to be the best highlight of the salad? That was the good part. The service I can't even explain. I'm not sure what happened because if it were like this everyday they'd be closed. We walked in downstairs and was told to sit wherever we wanted and then we were forgotten about. The bartender finally came over after my wife was looking her way for 20 minutes. Bartender apologized for forgetting about us. No waitresses anywhere. The AC I think was off because it was cooler outside on a warm muggy PA night than it was inside. The bar was about 3/4 full and there was one table seated and we noticed about 3/4 of the outdoor seating was occupied as well. Not super busy at all. We waited about 20 minutes before we were approached. We ordered water until we could got our menus and reviewed them. Water never came. Someone else came over and asked us about ordering drinks. We ordered drinks and asked about our water. Water never came. Drinks came. Then yet a different person came over a few minutes later to take our food order. We ordered water again since we were planning on drinking more. My wife's appetizer came out, meatballs. Pretty good, similar but somewhat different flavor than my Italian mothers recipe. When the app came out that person finally got us silverware, napkins and our water. Food came a little later. That's described above. During dinner we had to get up to get refills on water and were never offered additional drinks or anything. We finally stopped someone and asked for our check. My wife had to go to the bar to pay the bill. No one ever came back to the table. At one point earlier we were asked who our waitress was and we all looked at each other because 4 or maybe 5 people were at our table at some point but it was like we still couldn't get stuff we needed. My wife paid with a card she had forgotten to activate and it declined. The bartender gave her the slip and the card and never noticed or told her. She realized it at the table. We had to go back to the bar and pay again because after cleaning that one table everyone except the bartender would vanish. Finally we paid, sweating our asses off in a corner table with the most bassy sound system pounding for 2 hours we got out of there and went to a local bar for drinks. I would have loved to have enjoyed this place and loved to have had more drinks because their bar was the highlight of the experience but it was clear they didn't care about us at all. This place has an upstairs for formal dining. It looks beautiful. They have additional rooms for private events. All of the food is homemade and tastes delicious. Justin and Sandy treated us great and were very friendly and attentive. We ate in the downstairs area which had great ambience with different colored lighting and a fireplace. Hi, people need to know how nice and welcoming this place is. Wether your a local or from out of town it's a nice relaxing place.. The out side patio is a nice place to listen to the crick and at night the lights are nice , there's speakers out there too to listen to the music. I only have been to the bar / restaurant down stairs off the patio. And absolutely love it there. The food is sooo good . Love the Pizza!! and they always have my favorite ice cold Budweiser in glass bottle . So if your hungry or need a drink I recommend Arturo's. read more

While away for work, I found this restaurant to grab a bite to eat. When I arrived I parked in the lot. I thought at first they were closed, but I called and found out I had to go to the bottom lot entrance. I walked in and was greeted by a really nice bartender/server, Janice. I sat at the bar and started with the lemon drop martini, and it was a bit sour but not bad. I then got the red wine. For my meal, I got the chicken marsala, and when it came out, it looked great. I dug in, and it was very tasty. The sauce was very good! The bill was pretty decent, and all in all, I had a good experience. read more

Artie is an excellent Chef and Arturo's is a great place for having afew beers and some clams or having a full 3-course meal with an excellent bottle of wine. The restaurant and bar located on the lower level is perfect for both. The service when I was there was quick, and my order was accurate. The steamed clams were succulent and and the cappeletti soup with perfectly formed and amply filled homemade cappeletti's was delicious. They had a shaker of parmasan cheese available for the soup ... which was good, although I prefer a fresh grind if parm for my soup. I had the filet mignon, which is my "go-to" dishl here with mashed potatoes and asparagus. Dinners are served with a fresh baked mini loaf od bread & salted butter. So...nice start. For this review...I am giving a 4 star because my filet, which I ordered rare, appeared to have been prepared sous-vide and seemed to have never hit a grill. It tasted like boiled meat and was done medium at best. If it were not a Sunday evening and if I were not in a hurry to get home. I would have sent it back, which I rarely do.. but at $46 a pop. I probably should have. The potatoes and asparagus were perfectly cooked. The potatoes were creamy, buttery, and delicious, which is often hard to find in a restaurant. Mash-ies are a simple dish, but no one makes it like your mother or your grandmother... but Artie's are that good! As stated previously,... My fiancé took me to this restaurant for our first dinner date almost 6 years ago this week, so we came back to celebrate before we marry later this year. So, this restaurant holds a special place in my heart. It was a Friday night so I was expecting it to be a little busy, but I was so sad to see barely anyone in there around 6:30 at night. We parked and walked in the lower lot, past a beautiful outdoor patio space that looks like it's a blast to hang out at in the summer once the weather gets warmer. (Took a mental note to come back with friends!) We walked in and seated ourselves and our waitress came right over with menus and asked for our drink orders. I'm a Gin girl so I asked her for a Gimlet. Even though she admitted she hadn't made one in a while, it was delicious and strong. My fiance ordered the Italian beer on draft and was in heaven. We were starving and got an appetizer (which we rarely do) to spoil ourselves and we ordered the Cauliflower Bites instead of chicken, just to try something different. THEY WERE SO GOOD. Breaded, seasoned, and cooked to perfection, we were relieved we DIDN'T order chicken bites, these were a lighter and tasty alternative. We ordered our entrees, and didn't have to wait long at all for them to come out, we didn't even finish our bites yet. I ordered the Chicken Saltimbocca and my fiancé ordered the Pappardelle Bolognese. He LOVED his dish, said the sauce was a little TOO sweet for his taste, but he finished the whole plate, he couldn't stop eating. My chicken however was a little dry. It was covered in cheese and I ordered spinach as my veggie side so those made up for the dryness, but overall, it was also delicious. Would we return? YES! The atmosphere was so nice and chill, the decor/vibe of downstairs is almost like Olive Garden but way classier. The food is just as delicious as it was 6 years ago on our fist date. Our waitress was friendly and accommodating, asked us how everything was, and made small talk as she tended to other customers and cleaned tables. The Ladies Room was also well maintained and clean. The only downside is the lack of customers! I couldn't believe how empty the room was on a Friday night for dinner and my fiance told me that for the area, that's not uncommon. People would rather visit a chain restaurant in Dickson City or just go to the bar. Common people, visit Arturo's instead, you're missing out! read more

I will give this restaurant zero stars my wife and I went out there for our one year anniversary today and above the outrageous prices both of our drinks were horrible I had an apple martini it was so sour I couldn't stand it. She had a crown, apple and ginger ale for two drinks with $32 outrageous. I had chicken franchise while the flavor was good. The chicken tasted like rubber was so tough I couldn't eat it my wife had the shrimp marsala there were so much lemon in it you would think you were sucking on a warhead. Also, my wife is allergic to mushrooms after asking the waitress, if any of her food had mushrooms, which she also ordered the risotto they said no when she got her risotto, it was covered in mushrooms would never go there again tried contacting them and they said we wish you luck zero stars read more

So I would like to start out by thanking all the yelpers that came here before me and encourage me to try this restaurant. This place is very interesting. "Sort of speaking" For a second you think you went back in time with all the antique and dated decorations. You almost think that you are visiting your grandma!! But like every grandma. You may not like her decorations, but you sure do love her cooking and this place in my opinion is just like that. We ordered steak on a stone and creamy shrimp and crab pasta dish. Boy let me tell, those meals where cooked to perfection and flavorful. For appetizer we had clams in butter, garlic, and white wine sauce. They where so good. Went the bar(Tavern) downstairs on a Friday night. What a fantastic place. Bar is huge and beautiful, and they have a decent size patio outside as well. We ordered Tapas. I will say, be aware, the tapas are large portions. We had Arancini (pesto pancetta), Baked Italian Meatballs Cassoulet al Forno and the Charcuterie. It was all delicious. Everything was fresh and better than we thought It would be. (We ate upstairs before and knew it would be good) Can't wait to go back again, hopefully with some friends. This place rocks. First we were fairly late. But it was not a problem as they are open late and we had the restaurant part to ourselves Given this service was excellent. My partner had the chicken with lemon sauce and requested light garlic. This was no problem. I had the Oso Buco. Both came with asparagus and risotto. The only thing that lacked was the Oso was well. This is probably an artifact of our late hour. Hover it was well sized and tasty. The Risotto was excellent rivaling the best that I have had in Argentina. Had strawberry short cake for desert. It was homage short bread with fresh berries and strawberry flavor whipped cream. Will save this place for a return. read more

Was in town overnight on business. Asked some locals where was the "old school" place to eat. Every answer was "Arturo's". Lobster and asparagus bisque was excellent. Steak on a Stone was perfect, au poivre was nirvana. Gina and Arturu are great, Mom and Pop add the ambianceat. Chef studied French cuisine which adds a nice influence. Need a better pour by the glass for a pinor noir. Eat here or suffer the consequences of over cooked, chain restaraunt cooking. read more

FINALLY, a place with some flare, color and cool vibes. Good music is playing, servers were on target and so was the food! The menu has something for everyone, yet everything has a unique twist with a little extra detail...I have ordered several different items from the menu from soups to subs to burgers and even some of the fancier items which exceeded my expectations! I was traveling for work and we were very pleasantly surprised by this gem. Service was excellent (Kyle was the server I think) and the food was really good. I was pleasantly surprised that they had GF pasta and many menu options that I could eat (when you can't have wheat and you're in a small town, dinner usually has to be a salad...thank you for not forcing me to eat YET ANOTHER salad....) Food was really good and I thought the prices were quite reasonable (I live in a large city so I'm used to overpriced eats - the prices were probably high for local food honestly but for me were less than I would have expected.) This is a review of the bar in the lower level as I haven't visited the restaurant. I was very surprised with this gem in Dupont! I went to see a friend play a show and expected to find a dark dive bar but it was gorgeous inside. The bar is a large U-shape with plenty of seating. Tables were located around the outside wall which provided even more seating. You could probably pack 100+ people inside with ease. There's a huge dance floor with a DJ booth (which is strangely reminiscent of a more adult establishment) and a small stage for live acts. The bar is nonsmoking however there is a smoking lounge near the restrooms which is enclosed and does a nice job of keeping the smoke out of the main area. Really cool outside patio area for when the weather is nice. There is a great beer selection and the bartender was even looking for recommendations on what to order. She was super nice and seemed to be a beer snob herself (which was very refreshing). I was there on a Thursday which is wing night ($0.50 I think). Tried the hot honey garlic wings cooked extra crispy. They were good but a little too large for my liking as I prefer smaller crispier wings. Sauce was fantastic, spicy and a good garlic flavor. I'm looking forward to trying the food in the restaurant and I'll definitely be back to the bar again very soon. I'll update after I do. read more

Pleasant scenic 2 block walk from Petro truck stop in DuPont. Visited 3 times so far since Winter this year and, since my first experience, Arturo's has only gotten better each time over. They had a band play on Friday night. Come bring your date to dine in and enhance your romantic evening or just come by to indulge their great food and elixirs and unwind from the week. Their atmosphere is vibrant and comfy giving off a classy & casual vibe with a full bar and great aesthetics, plus an indoor smokers lounge. I see different walks of life and all are welcomed here. Upstairs offers unique fine dining, I have yet to check out. The locals here know this place as a neighborhood favorite and common retreat. Whether its America's traditional Yuengling' lager brewed in their hometown or to have a Lagunita's IPA from mine, I'll always look forward to coming back and stop by Arturo's for a splendid night. What an absolute gem! Ate at the bar and was taken care of extremely well by the dual Theresa's. Started with the beet salad. The vinaigrette is wonderful. Next time I'll ask them to add some bleu cheese. Lucked out and got the last order of meat filled homemade ravioli. So glad I accidentally timed it well. I'm told the owners mother makes it and I have no trouble believing it. Finished up with the Apple crisp. Organic apples grown by the owners father. Lovely not overly sweet syrup. Delicious breading was just enough. It let the apples be the star. The vanilla gelato served with the hot crisp cooled the dish and added a perfect creaminess. My potatoes were suppose to be oven roasted but were slices of burnt flat potatoes cooked in old oil, I told the waitress she said I'm sorry then The owner came over to clear some plates. I explained to him that I ordered my salmon med rare & that the potatoes were burnt. He did nothing. I received the bill & decided not to leave a tip being of the horrible food & service. My significant gave a cash tip. The next day I REVIEWED MY BANK TRANSACTIONS & WAS SHOCKED THAT A $10 TIP WAS ADDED TO MY BILL. I CALLED & SPOKE TO THE OWNER ABOUT THIS BEING AN ACT OF THEFT & ALSO ABOUT HOW BAD THE FOOD WAS. DINERS BEWARE THIS PLACE IS HORRIBLE Food is not impressive. The chef Doyle Lewis's reputation speaks for itself and not in a good way.. I agree with the other post the service is either ok or completely absent. this may be the reason why....They hired all of their staff only a few days before without training. Made most of the girls come in to "train" just to clean all of the black toxic mold out of the place and NEVER PAID. Sure it looks nice inside, but with mediocre food and horrible management this place will sink. read more

We have made a tour of all the recommended places to eat "Old Forge" style pizza and found that the best isn't in Old Forge but in DuPont! The decor and atmosphere were beautiful. The bar was gorgeous, yet small. The dinner music was, for me, awesome. I mean who doesn't like Neil Diamond? The menu was extensive and seem to cover all bases as far as Italian restaurants go. Price were moderate and in line with similar style restaurants. The calamari appetizer was rather bland and a bit chewy but the marinara sauce was good. The butternut squash raviolis were absolutely amazing. Then champagne chicken, however, was just flat out not edible. The risotto was like glue yet somehow undercooked. The "chicken" had a weird texture to it that is, quite honestly, hard to explain. Overall the experience was a very good one thanks to the polite and somewhat attentive wait staff. Would have given it four stars if not for the "chicken" experience. read more
