For the first time I used the Yelp "get a quote" feature. I contacted three tree service companies to get a quote to remove three small-medium sized palm trees and a fairly large citrus tree. Valente responded within 15 minutes with some clarifying questions and an offer to visit our property and give a quote that afternoon (a Friday). When he arrived at the property he called me to make sure he understood the job. He gave a reasonable quote and offered to do the job that Sunday! The other companies I asked for quotes could not even get out to look at the job until Monday or later. I accepted Valente's quote and scheduled to meet him there at 8 AM Sunday. He didn't make it to the property until around 9 (he did call and tell me he was running late), which would have knocked off a star on this rating but he made it up. Once he was there, he got right to work and completed the original job quite quickly. The reason this is still a 5-star rating is I added work (removing another pigmy palm cluster and some other brush) and he did not change the price! Valente was very personable and easy to work with. We will definitely call him again when we need additional work. read more

Valente was recommended by a friend, and I saw all the good reviews, and I thought I'd get a bid from him for a small but hard trenching job. One of the things I look for in a contractor is promptness and reliability, and after my first call and meeting I was encourage by Valente's professionalism. He called me back right away and showed up on time. His bid for my various projects were very reasonable, and I thought I'd give him a chance with the toughest job. He showed up at the time, he said he'd be here, and instead of having one of his crew do the work he did it himself. I watched him work hard in the very hot weather and I could tell he was very conscientious about the work. He work until dark and then came back very early in the morning to finish the job, but only after asking it was ok to start that early. He did an excellent job, and he kept the work area clean. He was very courteous and easy to have here. I am a do it yourself type person, but we will definitely use him again for various projects around our two acre property as I can tell he is a picky guy like me! read more

We recently purchased a new home and the front and side yards were literally just piles of dirt and debris. We priced out a few landscapers and decided to go with Valente at Keep it Clean. In our first meet and greet he was very professional and shared some ideas for the design of our front yard that would remain in budget. He followed up shortly after with an estimate that detailed line by line the services he would provide. This included grading the space, clearing out extra dirt and debris before he could begin with beautifying. Valente and his team also installed drip irrigation, selected and planted drought friendly plants, and laid mulch/gravel. The space looks beautiful! The team who came to do our work was courteous, on time, and worked hard (in peak heat) to get the job done a day earlier then expected. We had a crazy heat wave right after they left and a few plants didn't make it. Valente came back promptly and replaced every one to make sure we were happy. He's definitely got an eye for design and with his experience, he helped us make some better choices about what to do with our backyard. His pricing is fair and his work is excellent. We wanted a professional to come in and clean up the area, but also leave some space for us to build garden beds later. I don't think there is anything he wouldn't be able to help with, big or small. Contacted Keep It Clean owner Valente for a sprinkler repair job. He tested all lines and focused in on source of a water leak. He spent time to excavate lines to track down the source and offer a sound repair recommendation. He fixed the leak and also put in a new drip line. I moved back to Ventura after years of being in the desert. Valente has been so kind and informative. I've had many Lawn guys in my not so short life but he is by far the best!! In all the recent rain my orange tree just kind of leaned over onto a shed and he successfully has straightened it out and it's blooming like crazy. One of my palm trees decided that the rain and wind were just too much so Palm fronds started dropping at an amazing rate. While I picked them up when he came to mow he said he would get rid of the mess for me! Brought a big truck the next day and everything is great!! They helped us with some large projects such as adding some lawn, trimming trees on our hillside, and landscaping some bare areas (including helping us select some of the plants to use).
