Jose is a gentleman. He's fair with his pricing, and knows his trade. I originally just hired him to do the artificial turf and extend the patio. After discussion and the fact that one of the large trees was cracking the cmu wall I got a quote to remove all of the trees and plants (except the roses). After accomplishing that I got more ideas with the clean slate and decided to paint the wall and add a vinyl fence topper for privacy. I am very pleased with the end result. After this project I hired Jose and his crew to do more work at another property. I would highly recommend him. read more

When I met José, I could tell right away how dedicated and thorough he would be. He asked great questions and I was especially impressed when he suggested installing a thick weed barrier under our existing gravel to keep weeds down. Everyone else we had spoken with had tried to talk us out of weed barrier because it's a hassle to install. He also was able to understand my vision very well and is knowledgeable about all of the drought tolerant plants we wanted, including asking about different colors and varieties rather than making assumptions and getting the wrong thing for us. José even suggested that they mix a small amount of concrete with our decomposed granite around our raised beds so that we wouldn't have weeds coming up around the beds. It looks great and will save us so much time and work! José was extremely responsive and his estimate was comprehensive and well thought-out. He showed up when he said he would and did great work. I was so impressed with the attention to detail of José and his crew. When they were done, they cleaned up to the point that it was cleaner when they left than when they arrived. One example of how thorough José and his crew were is that they installed some artificial turf, and after installing it, they brought a special brush/roller tool to make the turf stand up properly. José's prices were not low, but they were fair, especially for the immaculate job he did! I will post pictures once the plants grow in a little bit more! read more

My wife called and spoke with Jose. We set up a time for him to come to our home in Camarillo and give an estimate on fence repair. He never showed and never called to cancel or reschedule. He came by the next day, took good notes on what I wanted, and suggested some better options where appropriate. He was willing to itemize his bid, which he submitted the next day. The prices seemed very reasonable. Jose and his team earned more than 5 stars. They supplied value (prices were reasonable) and quality (he recommended Angelus block and pavers. He used good quality gravel and planter mix. His crew worked like a 'well oiled machine' and did an excellent joy). I would highly recommend them for your landscaping needs. read more

Our experience with Jose's landscaping was great! My husband called Jose and he came out the same day to look at our backyard and provided a very reasonable quote. He was available to start the following week - the original day we had planned was going to rain so he called us to reschedule to come a day sooner which was great customer service. Jose and his team knocked everything out in one day which included removing unwanted trees and plants, installing turf, repairing a fence and even repairing some masonry on a pillar in front of our house. We're already planning on having Jose repair another fence for us and he'll be our go to for any other outdoor needs. Highly reccomend! read more

Jose and his crew did a great job. The quality of workmanship and detail was impressive. I'm glad I hired him as I calculated they laid over 4,000 pounds of pavers and rock in a day which would've destroyed my back. All the pavers were level and symmetrical. Jose replied to my inquiry for a quote in a timely manner via Yelp. We agreed on a meeting time and Jose was right on time. He gave us a fair quote and communicated with me via text very promptly. It turned out that the work we thought we needed didn't turn out to be as large as we thought so we did not need Jose's help. A previous landscaping company had unfortunately clipped my cable wires when they put in my pavers for a walkway to my front door. When I wanted to go back to cable, it was unable to be restored by the cable company. Luckily, I was able to call Jose, and his team was able to place pipes in the ground beneath the pavers for the cable company to rewire, all without removing any of the pavers. They did a great job, at an extremely reasonable rate, and I would definitely hire them again for any landscaping needs. read more

JOSE CAN FIX THE OTHER GUY'S MISTAKES! I hired someone to build block stairs to the top of a plateau in my back yard. As I watched them work, I could tell the work was not going right. I fired that landscaper, who, by the way said they could do masonry work before they were hired. Jose is actually licensed in this area and he came out to look at the job. Long story short, all the work the previous landscaper did had to be demolished in order for the stairs to be properly calculated and not veer off to the side (they were not straight either). Jose's team of masonry experts came in; removed the bad work and made everything absolutely perfect. Jose also recommended better materials than the first guy, that made the entire job look amazing and much more high end. I then had Jose's landscaping team clear the plateau area at the top; which they did without cutting corners; they cleaned and hauled everything away. The were the best worker's I had when it comes to clean up! You don't have to tell them what to do, they already know. Superb on every level! read more

Really disappointed with this company. They were supposed to show up last wednesday. They flaked so I called them to show up this week. They did not show up again. Jose`s Landscaping is one of the very best pavers I have used in building and remodeling/renovating several driveways/patios and walks ways. I had a very relatively small driveway edging project, 110 sq ft total ( read small profit margin) but he worked with me on the timing and overall costs for this drive way up-grade. His prices are very fair and reasonable in today`s market as I had several bids that I felt were excessive. I would also like to positively comment on his superb communication skills. He responded back in a timely manner and had an excellent command of the "Kings" language. "His English was much better than my Spanish" as I often note. His workers showed up on time, were very presentable in appearance/affable and ready to hammer/landscape my project out. As in any landscaping effort, there are going to be some glitches/unknowns. His crew were very open to suggestions and also provided sensible recommendations. They were very good teachers with me being the seasoned citizen student so to speak. I would give 6 stars if I could. I had Jose and his crew install a patio with a basket weave brick border in my back yard. This new patio was being built where an old deck had just recently been removed and had to match and connect to another patio that was built 29 years ago. It certainly did and I couldn't be happier. Jose has the best crew working for him and each and everyone of them has his own special talent. They all take pride in their workmanship and it shows. Jose is a very approachable person and leaves no questions unanswered. He makes recommendations and follows through. We agreed on the price of the new patio that was very reasonable. He did such a great job that we added new front yard of drought tolerant landscaping, a new retaining wall in the backyard, a seating wall and a 1/2 basketball court.
