I didn't want to purchase the certificate until I knew I could get an appointment. When you go to the website there is not one main number to call, you instead call individual cell phones of the massage therapists. When I called one of them she informed me that I can only call Caitlin to book appointments, who is also one of their massage therapists. After calling Caitlin and then emailing her to find out her or anyone other therapist's availability for Saturday she responded back (through email) saying that she would let me know if there were any openings as soon as she found out. It was a complete run around. If she was the person designated to book appointments shouldn't she know if there were any openings. After a few hours of waiting I emailed her again to find out availability for Saturday. This time she responded back with 3 separate time slots. I told her which one I wanted and then proceeded to purchase the groupon certificate. After telling her what time I wanted to get my massage she asked if I could send her my phone number and reminded me to bring my certificate with me. I sent her my number and took it upon myself to verify all the information (date, time, location). When she responded back she said "I am sorry, I was looking at Friday... I am booked this Saturday." How irresponsible of the only appointment maker to mess up the dates when I continued to say SATURDAY. If I lived in VA Beach it may have been a different story, but I don't and I was not going to be in town on Friday. I had only purchased this certificate because she said there was an opening. Granted I did not actually receive a service from this location but I feel that if you can't even book an appointment correctly then what luck do I have with the service you're going to provide? Upon getting there, I had to fill out some preliminary paperwork to give the therapist an idea of where to focus his attention. Robert was extremely professional and provided a wonderful experience. The oils he used smelled amazing and the atmosphere was calming. He used just the right amount of pressure and always ensured he kept his hands on me and never broke contact even if he switched sides or had to grab something. I actually fell asleep toward the end and woke up startled as I didn't expect that to happen. Afterward, he went over a chart of what areas were stiff and ways to keep my muscles stretched. He also advised I drink plenty of water for the remainder of the day and even had a cup waiting for me at the front desk. As another great bonus, he does a referral system. If you refer 3 clients, you get a free massage. Also, as an appreciation for the military, he offers the same service for an amazing $45! I was greeted as I entered the business and then escorted to the service room. Jamee then asked what areas I wanted him to pay attention to. He then reminded me that we had 90 minutes of therapy today. He is so well trained that he knows exactly what areas of your body are tense and what needs to be done for you to have the best experience on his massage table. He is incredibly easy to talk to during the session, if you choose to converse with him. The music was so soothing and relaxing, as well. The establishment is incredibly clean and sanitary. After the session was over, he informed me that he had left a complimentary bottle of water to drink to replenish my body after the massage. That was such a cool, personal touch to an already amazing experience. I left there feeling relaxed and stress free. My lower back was gone, and I could easily move that area again.
