They were able to take my lenses and put them into a new pair of frames in about 30 minutes saving me hundreds of dollars. I was not able to see the name of the employees that helped me but they were both very kind and went out of their way to help me.

At Specsavers, the people made everything easy - eye test, here's a voucher to save over 50%, and all the tests are included in the £10; aftercare, we can waive the cost of that; appointments, we can do those one after the other; glasses, we can give you two for one at a price almost half of that of Canada. I highly recommend the chain and the people at the Cheltenham branch.

That's not a problem though, after all you choose whether to hand over your money. My problem is with the quality of their frames, which I have to say isn't very good. The staff here are very hostile once they have your money. I was dismissed twice before I got an independent report from a competent optician at which they rectified my defective frames. If you want a quality pair of glasses which will last longer than a few months then stay away from this place, I definitely won't be going back!

Specsavers have an unspoken policy dismissing all customers being more than 5 min late on their precise, Swiss made, clock. Thus, this morning, due to some traffic/car park unfortunate issues, I arrived 7 min late at my eye check appointment scheduled at 8.45... In a desertic store, only one person was waiting. I got my appointment solanely refused as I had arrived 2 minutes after the critical threshold... Despite my most sincere apologies, I have been offered an other appointment at a later date. Dear manager, do not wake up early on a Saturday morning to go to Specsavers and set up another appointment at a later date! After 10 min of discussion with the contact lenses assistant team, I saw MY optician, going out of her (of course) EMPTY room, calling for the next customer... Specsavers, you will never see me again... PS: Financial repercussion of a lost customer: £30x12 (contact lenses) + £20x2 (eye checks) + £150 (glasses) = £550/year... Over a life = roughly 50x550 = £27500 Quite substantial... And I imagine I am not the only one... + bad reputation: A bad customer experience is approximately told to between 7 and 11 of the people around you... Who will not contribute to the business... (27500x11... You see where I am going) To conclude: SPECSAVERS, work on your flexibility and customer attention...

The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. And as it stays open with the surgery prescriptions are always able to be filled when needed.

They can be a bit lax on appointment times, but that is more down I think to the patients unloading on the doctors than the Doctors messing around so to speak. Pratice nurses are always ready with a smile to put you at your ease and the receptionists are always pretty good and polite. No dragons here

They sell much of the very latest kit, from budget prices to high end fat wallet. Their speaker wire and cables are particularly good value, and I would recomend their own brand as being able to stand comparison with much more costly equivalents. They have a sound proofed trial room so that you can hear your prospective purchase before you buy. If you want to get the best of service and attention from the staff, I would suggest that you avoid Saturdays as the shop gets extremely busy then.
