We have been loyal patients ever since. As a family, we make the 360 mile round trip for our checkups twice a year, and it is worth it. Appointments at Dr. Blackwood's office never feel rushed, he provides excellent, personal service, and he is the most qualified and competent dentist I've ever been to. With insurance it cost $1,500 for the surgery and now I have to go to a periodontist to pay another $1,550 out of network for a gum graft procedure. Had his pin hole methods worked liked he claimed then I wouldn't have to pay twice the cost for the same issue. I've called him to ask if he could partially cover the cost of this next treatment and he has been extremely rude and refused to help in any way knowing his procedure didn't correct it and is now telling me it can't be fixed, which is a lie, because his procedure didn't work. I would not recommend Ryan McNeil to anyone looking for a cosmetic dentist. He over promises and under delivers and then won't make it right with his patients. Watch out with bundling denials as they will state it is your responsibility! Per dental insurance…read morebundling shouldn't be your responsibility if the provider is in network. They also charge service fees that can't be billed to your dental insurance! If you overpay they will keep your overpayment and pay themselves out stating you signed a contract stating the service fees that can't be billed to your dental insurance are your responsibility. I've never heard of an office charging patients fees that can't be billed to your insurance.
