Not to mention the job was not completed and no other company wanted to touch their giant mistake. The real kicker is when we called them about our soggy ceiling sink the disaster pan was overfilling they denied any water damage( I have this phone call recorded) it took three years of fighting with the home reality company CINCH (also goes by sears home warranty) who assigned us to General Heating and AC. Cinch is another huge problem assigning work to companies that are not competent at the job, after fighting with them for many summers they only agreed to pay for half of the very costly reinstall of the unit! Our home owners insurance went up due to this, we had no AC for three summers. General heatings team of Cheryl and Zac are extremely unprofessional. Zac admitted this was only the second high velocity unit he had installed which showed some there was a plethora of things done wrong. This company has caused me endless headaches, hours on the phone, and thousands of dollars down the hole, if you are assigned to them from a home warranty company for the love of God request to be placed with a different company! Finally getting this review out since we can finally say we have working AC due to the wonderful company Binder Heating and AC. I don't know how to stress this enough especially if you have a high velocity unit so not book this company!

Ticking sounds in the wall while heat is on. DRHorton ordered them to come last December. The guy came and identified the ductwork pipe causing that sounds and decided to just pull the vent register out couple of times. This covered up the issue for half a day and the ductwork went back to its original position. Ticking sounds back. DRHorton coordinated them to come again together with floor guy to open the floor and fix the issue. This time, same guy came and what he did is simply shifted the main vent a bit. Of course it let the sound go for the moment but that is not a solution! We told him that he did similar thing last time. He first refused to admit he had come fixing it before, after we provided more details he called his manager and finally admitted he had an unsuccessful fix last time. Then he said I had to go, my manager said that is just natural sound of a house. What the fuck? Your manager was not even here! When and how did he get the super power to hear a sound remotely and determine that's the natural sounds?! Yep, 10 min after he left and the sound is back again. We ran into him two houses away from ours about 1 hour after he left, and let him know that the sound was back. He did not give it a shit and refused to spend 5 min to come and listen. He was not only helpful, but guided me through everything on the phone until he could get a plumber their and provided his cell phone in case I needed to contact him prior to the tech coming. Wayne moved things around on his schedule - in regards to priority - and scheduled the visit to our home as #2 for the day. Connor came to our home and was really very nice, professional, and guided me through what I should look for and keep an eye on. He fixed our issue in a quick amount of time and offered much insight based on his experience. On January 23, 2025, I had a technician from Metro come to inspect my furnace, which was not functioning properly. The technician ran several tests, showing me that the furnace was not operating as expected. He claimed that the original installers had improperly set up the unit, then identified a huge air leak and adjusted the gas pressure. He also noted that my temperature levels were dangerously high, which he described as a failure and cause for worry. After making adjustments to the system, the technician told me that the furnace would continue to run inefficiently until it eventually failed, he also did something to cause my humidifier to leak all over, citing the improper installation as the cause. The technician also informed me that I would need to replace the unit entirely, which seemed unwarranted, as the furnace is only about two years old. Also told me it would be almost 12k for a new one or a cleaning and seal for almost 4k. When I scheduled the inspection online, the website clearly stated a $60 diagnostic fee. However, when the technician presented the bill, I was charged $215. Upon questioning the discrepancy, the technician explained that the $60 fee applied only if a part were replaced, labeling the work he did as a "quick fix" rather than a diagnostic service, despite the coupon's terms indicating it covered diagnostic repair. The whole reason I scheduled with them was because of the 60$ ON THE SAME DAY, I had the original installer come to assess the furnace. After the bad tech told me the furnace was installed improperly. He immediately came out no charge. He explained that the issue was simply that the damper fins were closed, which prevented proper airflow. He corrected this and addressed the gas pressure issue. The technician confirmed that the previous technician's actions--turning up the gas pressure--would have likely caused long-term damage and elevated CO2 levels, putting my family's health at risk. The installer also stated that a simple cleaning and adjustment of the fins would have resolved the issue, without the need for any major repairs or a full replacement. I have photos of the coupon, the invoice, and evidence of the inaccurate statements made by the technician. It won't allow me to upload the invoice nor the service information that was done. Since then, Sparrow Plumbing has been my first call for any plumbing need. They've handled everything from installing plumbing for a new washer and dryer to repairing my home's main water line. Recently, I discovered my home had excessively high water pressure.
