I have no idea what is going on with Carolina Pain Institute, but for over a year when I went for…read moremy appointments I was told Dr North will not be back until ______{and it would be 3 months}. Dr North did a SI Joint fusion on the left side and now it is painful constantly and I WILL NOT live the rest of my life on pain meds. I thought this procedure would relieve sciatica pain, but in my case it may have helped a little while but this constant pain is terrible. After Dr North disappeared I did see one of the other doctors one time and he scheduled a test for a SI Joint fusion on my right side. After the test he called me in January to say the surgery center had put a hold on the needed procedure and I would receive a call in mid-February with a date and time. And now here we are at the end of March 2026 and still no phone call. Actually, I have no pain currently on the right side. And this morning I finally got someone to answer the phone and I asked for an appointment with Dr North. It's hard to believe that the front desk is that busy no one can answer the phone. The person answering told me he hasn't been with us for over a year. I asked why wasn't I as a patient notified of this and the lady said we don't notify patients of this sort of thing. I had as a patient put my confidence and trust in this facility but I am very concerned and disappointed with the secrecy and I feel like my situation has fallen through the cracks. She couldn't answer my question as to why I had not received a phone call in February. The lady wanted to make me an appointment to come and discuss the situation and I refused to make an appointment because I don't know who or what I can believe. The entire thing at Carolina Pain is too shady. I will say that Lena, NP is great but she's limited as to what she can do.

And, now, going on 3 decades of pain clinics, I've been blessed to be with Dr. Kapural and his team for 4+ years. This is BY FAR the best clinic yet! Here, they use cutting edge procedures to FIX the problem instead of "putting a band-aid on it" by just using drugs to cover up the pain. If you're looking for a pill mill, just go somewhere else, because they don't work like that. There aren't enough words to express how happy I am to be a patient here. My husband was transported to Forsyth from Northern Hospital in Mount Airy. He spent a week at this…read morefacility. I was extremely pleased with his medical team. His Internist oversaw his case. She contacted me each day with a detailed update. She coordinated beautifully with both Cardiology and Oncology to ensure all disciplines coordinated efforts. The new cardiologist contacted me prior to performing a procedure to ensure I had clarity. By the end of the week I was able to navigate around the hospital without getting lost but there were always helpful staff members who went above and beyond to help guide me. Parking here is horrible. One more I drove around the parking deck for 20 minutes before finally parking in a no parking spot. Because I was on the 5th level I assume they don't monitor it closely. Fortunately I didn't get a ticket or towed. Parking on Saturday and Sunday was easy. Week days are tough. I paid $3 to $4 for parking each day. Someone said that you can purchase a pass which allows unlimited in and outs for the day. I didn't look into that option. Another plus is the food. I ate in the cafeteria. Many food options on the weekdays and limited options on weekends. I didn't get the best chicken Alfredo ever earlier in the week. My husband enjoyed his food as well. All in all, if you have to be hospitalized, Forsyth may be a good option.

Friend was sent to emergency room for heart failure needing hospice care. She is uninsured and has…read morebeen waiting for over 12 hours. I arrived 3 hours after her, was seen treated and discharged, and she was still waiting. I went to ask the nurses station why she had not received a room before me or even why she didn't get the room that opened up for me and that if it had anything to do with her being uninsured, and the nurse got unbelievablely ugly and nasty and started asking if she was mute and then proceeded to remove me from the property while waiting on my ride in 40 weather wearing nothing more than a basket ball shirt and t shirt when I am already sick. If I catch a cold from this I will be filing a complaint on my behalf and I wish I could file a complaint on my friends behalf. Sick and disgusting and depraved animalis behavior I would expect so much more and better from health care professionals. And then of course security has to come and get tough with me and accuse me of arguing with the nurse when she is the one who got aggressive and defensive and argumentative over me simply asking a question out of concern for the well being of another human being; something we clearly cannot expect from this medical facility, if you can even call it that as that would indicate reasonable expectation of adequate care. Fucking deplorable behavior. Disgusting and inhumane. That nurse and security officer should ashamed of themselves, novant should be ashamed that these are the people representing them. Fucking pathetic
