I was passing through town on my way to Western PA and got a flat. Calling around, nobody had my size tire in stock, including Kelleher. This meant I was faced with the prospect of spending the night in Scranton to wait for a tire to arrive at some time the next day. Realizing my 'problem', Larry offered a solution at a reasonable price that would allow me to continue on my way that afternoon. I went to Kelleher for an auto inspection. They found a "boatload" of work had to be done, including a buying new tire since one of them had a "nail in its sidewall" and "couldn't be repaired." This was curious because my tire pressure indicator inside the car indicated that all was well. Okay, so maybe I picked up the nail on the way to the shop and it needed time to lose pressure. The other work I expected because of the strange noises I was hearing from the car; I knew there was some problem so I accepted their diagnosis at face value. I made an appointment to come back in a week to have the work done, $700 or so would be the estimated bill. For the next 4 days I'm waiting for the tire pressure indicator in the car to show the problem with the tire but It's still good. Huh, that's funny. Long story short, I take the car to another garage and the new inspectors find that my tires are fine and in good condition. I had the work done by the new inspectors and the bill was $200 less than Kelleher's estimate. I called Kelleher and cancelled my appointment. That was two weeks ago. I'm still waiting for my pressure warning light to turn on. Maybe it's a very, very slow leak!!!!! Anyway, I don't think I'll be doing business with Kelleher in the future. read more

Fantastic experience. My tires were nearly bald, and I had put off getting a new set so long that I needed new ones immediately. Called the store and they gave me tires for $400 cheaper than competitors, and scheduled an appointment for me the next day. I came in, they took care of the car in under an hour, and I haven't had any issues at all. I couldn't ask for a better team! I called to get some quotes for new tires and an alignment. The technician that helped me quoted me for several different tire brands and how each tire rated. The top tire was within our price range, so we ran with it. They were able to schedule me first thing Monday morning. The technician told me it would most likely be done around lunch. Well, they actually finished a couple hours EARLY!!!! Yippee!!! When I went to pick up our van, the price that had been quoted to me on the phone was the EXACT number that I paid at the register... no surprises. I would recommend Kelleher to EVERYONE. My husband and I were traveling from the Austin, Texas area to Cooperstown, New York to meet our son and grandson in late June. We have a slide-in camper that fits in the bed of a pick-up truck. We had the misfortune of having a flat tire near Allentown and the spare was then put on the road. By the time we got to Scranton, the spare also blew out. We called our towing insurance company for the second time that day and a gentleman from a nearby towing company, Midnight Towing and Recovery, called my husband for details. He drove to our location and surveyed the scene. He then called a tire store to see if they had a tire that would fit our needs. John, our tow truck driver had called Kelleher Tire in Scranton. John took the first blown-out tire and me to Kelleher Tire where Mr. Kelleher came to the shop, after hours, and mounted a used tire onto our rim. This all happened well after closing for the tire store. John returned me to our truck and put the 'new' spare tire on the truck. We were invited to spend the night in the parking lot of the tire store so we followed John back to Kelleher Tires. In the morning, our now bent spare tire rim was straightened and we bought a new tire for our spare. After paying our bill which was very reasonable, we were told not to leave just yet because Mr. Kelleher had a present for us. We both were given Kelleher shirts which we will wear proudly because the service was wonderful!!!! We have never had such fantastic service and are extremely grateful for Kelleher Tire! read more
