I needed 4 new tires, an Oil Change, and an Alignment. I visited 3 places in the Dickson City area. Firestone (I had used them before, back in 2022 for 2 tires), Americas Best and KOST Tires. Firestone gave me a reasonable price for true "Firestone" tires. Americas Best were $80.00 cheaper but they were for "No Name" tires, and they did not do Oil Changes nor did they have an Alignment machine. Never buy tires and not get an alignment. KOST was $200 more for a set of Goodyears. Even his no-names were more than Firestone. I went with Firestone. I made an appointment for a Saturday. I dropped off my car on Friday night. As promised my car was done by 3pm on Saturday. All is good. I received several emails from Firestone regarding my car, and got 2 status calls from the shop. I don't think you can ask for more than that. They are a pretty busy shop. They have 10 bays and 9 of them were occupied both times I was there. Went to go to pay for an inspection and asked if they took checks so I gave them proper identification and they made a phone call and talked to someone and denied my check with a number given. Had to pay with bank card same account. Afterwards went to the bank and they said there's no REASON they should have declined the check. Don't go here every other business takes my checks including Walmart and I pay my bills with checks and make deposits every two weeks. Stupid company and the guy said they didn't deny it but they did if you have to call to approve a check. read more

We took my car here because it was making some noise and I was leaving the next day. We were pretty sure we knew what it was and it wasn't that concerning but we wanted to get it checked out just in case. They ended up telling us the car needed thousands of dollars of repairs and when we asked them to just fix the one thing we came in for, they told us it would be done in ten minutes which it is about a 15 minute drive for us. When we got there the car was still lifted up and no one was working on it. It was so frustrating and I would have just rathered ask them to just take it down and let me drive away without fixing anything. This is exactly why women have issues trusting mechanics. They Did my oil change recently and I took my car to the dealership for annual inspection to discover they didn't properly seal it and it is leaking oil. They also used an after market filter which can or cannot be okay. This is the 2nd issue I have had with them. If I could leave 0 stars I would... I had an appointment for a brake service and planned on waiting. I was okay with waiting a few hours because I knew it would be a longer job to complete. I parked my car in a parking spot and that's where it sat for 2 hours. My car never moved, unlocked, photo taken, looked at period for 2 hours. This place is a joke. To add to it a guy dropped his car off the other day and was promised to have it ready by 12 for him to get there and then say oh we haven't started it yet and it should be ready in about 3 hours. I purchased 4 tires and a lifetime alignment for the price of a whopping $1420.00. When I got my vehicle back I noticed the "low tire pressure" indicator light was on; it was not on before the service. I complained and was told I would need to wait to have the repair done even with yet another appointment. After the 2nd appointment, the technician informed me there was no signal from the ALL FOUR tire sensors. They tried to tell me all 4 of the sensors batteries went bad at once. STEER CLEAR! They don't know what they are doing and won't stand behind their work!!! read more

A negative 4 stars would be an appropriate review for this location. The Store Manager is completely unprofessional and does not know how to talk to customers. Dropped my vehicle off on Friday, stopped in to check on it on Saturday afternoon, it was not touched. When I asked the SM when it would be done his reply was " I'm just giving you the car back , we can't get to it." He then became belligerent with me when I asked for the Area Manager's contact information . At the same time he was telling another customer he would "move things around" to get to his car. When I questioned him on this he told me it was his decision which cars get worked on, and that he works 7 days a week, blah, blah. Not my problem, he should then find another job. This is not the first time I've had these issues with this location and manager, this happened several time before when I brought my vehicle in for oil changes which took 2 days. Couldn't be happier. I was driving around with no heat in my car and they fixed it for $50. They could have easily said I needed unnecessary parts and charged me much more. They're always transparent and reasonable which is rare to find for a auto repair shop. I would never take my vehicle elsewhere. Unsurprisingly it's a very busy shop but they don't make you feel like a number. The front desk gentleman even gave me a $10 courtesy coupon applied to my invoice! Firestone should be sued for trying to rip off innocent people. I went there for a simply brake job and they told me I needed new rotors, calipers ect... and that it would cost $1400 to do the work. Considering I have done my own brakes for many years I was surprised to think the rotors we so worn that they needed to be replace. Of course I refused the service and I made sure to go back to the garage and take look while the tires were still off. Needless to say not only were my rotors in very good shape but I didn't even need calipers. So I went to Auto Zone bought pads and fixed it myself for under $100. It literally took less than an hours. Firestone should literally be fined at the very least for deceptive sales practices. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR and find a LOCAL MECHANIC. I'm in a long term rental for work. Enterprise told me to make an appointment at the local Firestone for an oil change. I showed up 15 min early for my appointment and the guy checked my mileage and said I needed tires. After an hour and a half he said he was about to pull it in the shop and I could go to lunch. I went to lunch for an hour and the truck was still sitting out front. The guy apologized and said he was just pulling it in. They gave me the wrong kind of oil, the expensive synthetic, that I did not request. They told me things were wrong with my vehicle that could not possibly need work. For one thing; I had recently had my brakes replaced elsewhere, but they told me they needed to be fixed. The place says it's pet friendly yet he told me not to bring my dog inside, being that my dog is a service dog I went in after waiting an hour and another employee told me I should have had the dog inside the whole time as we are dog friendly. OK where do I begin I started going to Firestone on Wyoming Avenue when it was open they closed that location and I was forced to use the one up near the mall I started bringing my car there and the guys would do mediocre work what do I mean by that I mean that they would not tighten the oil filters enough they would do the rotations wrong and the four wheel alignments many times are wrong as well One of the times I had brought my vehicle there the day before I had left for Florida I wanted to get a four wheel alignment and a spin balance which they did ,as I was driving down to Florida the car was shaking ridiculously and I could not believe what was going on I was so frustrated by the time I got to Florida I had had enough after driving two days with the car steering wheel shaking uncontrollably I went down to the Firestone in Florida they told me that they had counter spin balanced the wheels Which basically means that they never took the metal balancing pieces off and put new ones over the old ones. The Firestone in Florida apologized for the horrible work that they did on my car they did not charge me and I had to end up bringing the car back to this one with no apology or anything but they gave me a discount on tires I stop bringing my car here which is very disappointing because I used to go there all the time I believe that they have inexperienced staff working there I don't understand that they can drive a car out of there with oil leaking out of the filter. My wife was there for an oil change and asked for a quote on new tires. She advised them it was a leased vehicle that would be turned in, but the factory tires were worn and she had nearly a year left on the lease. Their quote for tires included a 4 wheel alignment and an upcharge for their "lifetime" alignment service. Long story short, they were trying to bill her $400 for aligning a vehicle that did not need an alignment. Not to mention it was a lease! The place that normally does her oil changes offered a free alignment check as part of their service. They said the alignment was acceptable. I went to Firestone because I had a slow leak and needed an oil change. The person called me and tried to sell me two new tires. According to them, Fall was the most dangerous season of the year and should have them done by that point. When I said no, I rather wait until the end of October because I want new tires for winter, they explained to me they were not sure they could fix the flat tire because the tire (which is still legally passable by PA standards) was too old and it may not hold. Again, trying to sell me new tires when they were not needed. When I told him to take it off the order, he then said they can try it and if by some chance, it doesn't work, they wouldn't charge me. I went to Firestone a few months ago because I had another flat tire and they said they were not able to repair it, even though the tire was newer. This current experience is making me question the last tire. I need to know I am working with a company that I can trust and will give me the proper advice and not try to provoke scare tactics to make more money. I only went to Firestone because I recently moved and it was closer to my new residence. I was excited to build a relationship with them. This was my first time coming here, I just needed an oil change for my car. I went online to find more information and you could book an appointment online, pick a time slot, location, input info about your car and personal info. I received an email confirmation. I'm not in the immediate area so I had to drive about 40 minutes to get there. Upon arrival, the gentleman at the front who greeted me was extremely friendly and polite so this is nothing against him. But he did inform me that their online appointments for some reason allow you to book even though they are completely full and they would not be able to take my car. So I had to turn around and drive home. If this is the case, this company needs to disable this feature or figure out what the issue was because this was extremely frustrating and it sounded like I was not the first one to have to be turned away from an online appointment. read more

A bunch of rip offs, brought it my car for electricla reset i told them before bringing it in thats its electrical issue and they should reset it and if its comes back i will bring it in for a full diagnostic, after 15 min they manager comes out with a big list of electrical issues that needs to be fixed bassicly thebwhole car is bad and refused to reset it unless i fix the problems, oh and its a 3 years old car 44K miles.
