This time we needed sailing bibs for my wife because the weather was a real wet the first day of an event in Duck we were running. WE went in and really got no attention. Pretty weird, the woman behind the counter was talking a lot of semi jibberish and not making much sense and the old man behind the counter was not paying attention. I bet we shopped for about 5 to 10 minutes and really thankful I understand West Marine. I partially blame the end of season blues and they were very low on inventory probably for the same reason but really this was just ridiculous. I did find exactly what we were looking for with no help from the staff. All they did was ring up our $100+ sale. And the girl behind the counter continued to ignore us and talk loudly to herself about the store fixtures or layout or.. who knows. Will be back but only because it is West Marine, not because of the staff they have.
