He loves the store and I can see why. It is well organized with carefully curated gear for those serious about their craft and the employees are friendly too. They also sell some gifty items. I finally made it to Mike Keller's myself, with my father in tow, and while we didn't need any boots, gloves, nets, hooks, or the such on this visit, I still enjoyed looking and we left with a few tshirts. My family is always happy to support this local small business. I also had my Mom with me this visit and we had fun looking at the gifts including crewel embroidered pillows with blue crabs and waiters on them and earrings from Lilliput Tiny Things (famously hand made in New Orleans). I called the nags head location to ask if they would take them back. The manager, Jake, explained that he would have to see them. That is just fine, so I brought them to him with all the tags and the receipt then when we grab another pair to exchange them with, the Grommet on the new pair was cracked. Jake handled it like a pro and gave us the benefit of the doubt and let us return the shorts so, I ended up spending $200 more, because he was so gracious to us. Jake was a professional and I appreciate it. He does a good job. He should be commended.
