But I drove to Beloit because the gas at Gene's was $4.80!!! It's $5.50 or more around Roscoe/Rockford, IL. The pumps are older, as is the whole facility, old-fashioned, genuinely quaint. You can't use your credit card in the pump. And they do prefer cash. Go to Gene's. Keep this small town, family business going. And enjoy filling your tank, even though the prices are still awful. Again, it was a rainy day, so all that was needed was the vacuum inside the car. Following the wash (with a tip) I raced back to work after the long lunch and drive back to the office. At the end of the day, I noticed the back of my car had not been touched. Hair all over the place. When I called, the owner did not even get on the phone with me, and did not offer any discount or refund. I will never go back, nor will I ever recommend.
