I've been looking for a local bike shop and a couple different friends recommended these guys. I was thinking about getting some performance work done to my Harley, but wasn't sure if I wanted to put the money into this particular bike, before I had a chance to make a decision my Indian left me stranded on the side of the road. I called these guys, they hooked me up with a tow company and I had the bike brought to them. It was something ridiculously minor and although they are very busy, they had the bike ready to pick up the next day and only charged me a minimal fee!! I guarantee the local Indian dealership not only would have taken forever I'm certain they would have screwed my on the bill. Thank you Fornarelli, I not only have a new shop I would gladly take either of my bikes to, but I can comfortably recommend them to other people, in fact I took a couple extra cards so I could pass them on to other bikers. read more

Sharing this from my google review, great shop! Helped me multiple times with different bikes. In one such instance, I had a victory that needed clutch kit replaced. It leaked oil after I got it back. I had to wait for the following season to bring it in. They didn't charge me to stop the oil leak. Got it back and it kept leaking. Took it back a third time, they replaced the clutch kit cover and that fixed the leak. Didn't charge me this last time either, for parts or labor. Highly recommend this shop! read more

Was recommended to Alex from my older brother. This Suzuki is my first bike and I knew it needed some tlc before I could ride it with ease of mind. I got the bike in about a week which I did not mind. They changed and cleaned the 4 carbs and made sure the bike was ready to roll and that she did for the whole rest of the summer and fall! I got a flat tire on my Harley Deuce, which I bought at Windy City. After limping the bike from Elgin to St Charles they told me they were out of inner tubes. They said even if they had one I would have to leave it for a few days, because they were backed up. I tried the Woodstock store and the hung up on me. I called Fortinelli, they said "Yep we have them" I brought it in and they took care of me within 1/2 hour. Ok shop. They sold me tires in the beginning for my 2009 Harley Davidson 883. Alex the owner is friendly but the motorcycle mechanic is too sassy for me. He was honest but very critical which is why the 3 stars. I had an oil change and assumed all was well. That is where I got a critical view of the K and N oil filter I had on my motorcycle. I had address a fellow motorcyclist who worked for Harley Davidson in St Charles suggested to put this on and it ran good. After Fornarelli did my oil change my motorcycle was not running like it should when I thought getting my tires and doing the preventative maintenance. Ended up being a scary surprise of worry. It took them 2 months and I did not have a motorcycle after 4th of July and my birthday. I had to contact them and when I finally did they said they we're done. Again they sold me good tires but if they do oil changes please do NOT critique the owner of the motorcycle. I was hoping after i got a ride to where my car was since I had that problem I would have the same offer to bring me back to my car after paying for the motorcycle repair of loose metal scrape after they did me a oil change. A bit hesitant to go back in my experience next to them telling me I should sell my motorcycle since i bought a lemon from Woodstock Harley Davidson after getting a engine replace from rider error from a motorcycle mechanic from Bridgeview IL prior to before they service the oil and other problems which I did NOT experience before. read more

The harley mechanic at this shop sent me home with a new rear wheel that is not aligned properly at all with the tire rubbing the belt and left side of the fender. He argued with me on the phone and said "I put on what you gave me. You ordered a wheel that won't fit on your bike." So rather than call me or the wheel manufacturer to get info on wheel fitment (which the manufacturer confirmed "does" fit) or just simply put my old wheel back on he instead chose to mount the wheel anyway knowing it wasn't moving smoothly. Now I have a new tire that is trashed and a lot more could've happened while riding off. I was hoping that the owner would've followed up with me about what happened but he left it at that. read more

Stopped in today to have my r6 looked at due to a nail (or very large staple) that appeared to be perturbing from the rear tire. As soon as I rolled in, they were attentive and offered assistance right away. The owner (Alex) was very helpful, and although I thought I would need to buy new tires that day, he said I could probably make it another year. Wow, real honesty here. Previous to this I was in their other location, but just looking around at all the shiny bikes. Fortunately the foreign object did not go all the way through, and was smaller that we initially thought, so my problem solved itself after it was gently pulled out without further incidence. Defiantly would recommend any sport or cruiser bike owners that may need some advice or honesty to check this place out. I give them 5 stars for what I stated above. I had my 1999 Ultra classic motorcycle with a side car in for leaning issues! I informed Fornarelli to check the right rear shock, They informed me the left rear shock was (BAD), I said ok and I waned the old shock back! After paying my repair bill and asking for the old shock they said they disposed of it. The bike was still leaning inward toward the sidecar. They told me it was the best they can do and to take it else where, I did, I was informed my a master mechanic the left shock is leaking and it did not need to be replaced . I call Fornarelli and told them I wanted to be reimbursed for the shock they said only if I bring the shock back. I had my bike quit running in late October. The Fornarelli guys picked it up, took it to their shop and stashed it in their showroom for the winter until they could get around to it. Turns out the ethanol fuel ate away the seals in the fuel pump and the carbs, requiring that the carbs and fuel pump be completely rebuilt, also clutch needed to be bled and adjusted and the brakes too. I picked it up, it runs perfectly, and the cost was very, very reasonable, and I'm very pleased. And they were all friendly, respectful, courteous and accommodating. Excellent motorcycle shop! They were recommended to me by a friend and I will highly recommend them to anyone looking to have their motorcycle serviced. I called & talked to the owner Alex about having my tires mounted. I purchased my tires , tubes & guards online. He was really helpful with what I needed to buy for my bike. I called a couple weeks later and set up an appointment over the phone with Anthony, one of the mechanics. He was really great on the phone and set up my schedule for the following Saturday, which is the most busiest days of the week for them. When I did bring the tires in to have mounted, everything went smooth. My bike was dropped off around 9 a.m. & I picked it back up around 11a.m. Everything went efficient and smooth. It was half the price Honda charges each tire mounted & balanced. I highly recommend this shop for your mechanical needs on your motorcycle. I've been taking my bikes to Fornarelli for years and have never had any reason to complain --- in fact, the opposite is usually the case. They've usually gone above and beyond my expectations. This last winter when I took the bike in for an annual tune-up, I asked them to detail the bike. Let me tell you, that bike was grubby! I'm sure it took that guy hours to get my bike clean, but they didn't charge me more than they quoted me. For years I was aware of Fornarelli Motorsports, but had not stopped in, and actually thought they were probably a Harley/cruiser-only or custom shop. Was on Elgin Community College property and decided to check them out. Wow, what a diamond. As I pulled up, the owner, Alex, walked out to greet me and ask how he could help. Really nice guy that is VERY knowledgeable about motorcycles - all types, including my Honda VFR800. Ending up chatting with him for over 1/2-hr - he was an accomplished roadracer in his day - AMA, etc - and Fornarelli has been there for over 30years. He's a professional and acts it. Along with regular bike maintenance and repair, etc, he also does speed-ups.... and he has a dyno onsite. I needed tires mounted and although it was clear that his team were all stacked up, he still managed to shuffle me in and I was back on the road in a couple hours. My Honda Shadow wasn't as peppy as it should be and felt like it was bucking a headwind. I called and explained the problem to Alex and he assured me they would take care of it. When you are on 2 wheels, price isn't an issue - QUALITY is, so I never breached the subject of cost. When I have taken my bikes in to dealers it always takes at least ten days to get something done and they are rather pricey in my opinion. Great place. Like others have said the owner Alex is a really nice guy. I went there to get my front tire swapped out, and it was much cheaper than other places. While they were changing the front tire, they also bled my front brakes without me even asking... and didn't charge anything for it. Amazing service. Now I got my new front tire on, and my front brake lever feels much stiffer and I have far better response out of it. I thought the lever was soft because I needed new brake pads, guess not. They knew what to do without me even asking and they did it free of charge. Even though I live in the city, I'll be very inclined to go there again next time I need something else done. read more
