After we paid $80 to apply, we were texted saying that we were no longer being considered because the owner is "trying to lease to someone with no pets or a small one". TOTAL SCAM...and extremely unethical. The agent, Cynthia, told me on the phone that she thought we deserved a refund but it was NOT coming out of her pocket or her employees pocket for providing us information that changed. She said the only way we would get our money back is if the owner gave it to us...so stupid considering the owner never took our money lol. She now is trying to play it off like the owner simply chose a stronger applicant...which is not true because I have text messages saying that the owner was "trying" to lease to someone without a pet...not that they chose someone else. I have already filed a complaint with the BBB, and am currently working on my complaints with TREC, Texas Association of Realtors, and the local news stations so that I can help raise awareness for consumers and make sure to record all conversations in case this happens to them. The stupidity of this lady and her employees just baffles me. Just to give you another example, I had called asking for an application to be emailed to me one morning so that I could fill it out on my lunch break and have all paperwork ready when we had our showing that evening. Come lunch time I still hadn't received it, so I called and spoke with Brianna. I asked her if she could tell me the email address she wrote down, because I hadn't received the paperwork and thought she may have written my info down incorrectly. I kid you not when this girl said she thought I received it because I supposedly replied saying wrong email address. I had to explain to this girl that the response she received was clearly from someone else telling her she had the wrong email address. Even after that, I still had to call back 2 more times because she still was sending it to the wrong email address. I should have known then the type of unintelligent people that I was dealing with and ran the other way. The worst most expensive mistake we have ever made. We hired Maggie Mc******* out of the RE/MAX…read morePearland- Pearland Home Team and she represented the seller and us. She screwed both of us. She talked them into hiring her contractor who was an ILLEGAL contractor. Since we have lived in our home 3 years now we have had 2 electrical fires in the walls, the staircase collapsed (covered with carpet so we had no idea it was unsafe), the main line was shot (they lied when I asked and said it wasn't) and it flooded my home with SEWER and caused 47,000 in damages insurance had to pay, AND THE SECOND FLOOR STARTED TO COLLAPSE INTO THE DOWNSTAIRS because illegal contractor took out an entire wall without permits and did not even put up a beam. Maggie Mc*******, the sellers, and this illegal contractor almost killed my kids when the second floor started coming down. But wait there is more ways the Maggie screwed us even more! She charged us too much for the house and it did not even appraise so she came to US for the money and not the seller. Since we have lived in this house we have spend over 70,000 in repairs to make it SAFE. Not nice.. safe. Don't use her because as far as the law is concerned they protect them and not you! RUN FROM THIS REALTY. Want to see her lies... see the photos below where she said she was our realtor but then lied on legal documents saying she wasn't so she could legally screw us. Also DO NOT BUY A HOUSE IF SHE IS THE SELLERS AGENT! She will coach sellers to only fix what the eye sees, they painted the top of the toilet seats vs replacing them, the blinds were all pulled up "to let light in" when really they were half missing, cut in half and destroyed. They painted over rotted siding, they did only enough to fool the eye. And they will make you sign legal documents stating they have no liability. See my photos!!!!
