Inconsistent, doing the job incorrectly (when they even show up to work, that is.) We have been going through months of construction when the job was supposed to be completed three months ago. Find any other company you can get because these people are the worst. Considering my legal options here, save yourself the trouble. read more

The team at Burr Roofing replaced our barn roof in February 2024 in Westport, CT. They were excellent to work with. As part of the initial process, the owner of Burr visited us for a consultation and was candid and straightforward with his thoughts and recommendations. During the project the communication was excellent - with a text thread established with the entire team that would be working on our home. Our project manager (Stew) was excellent. He visited after the roof repairs were completed to ensure that our property was left clean and the project was done well (including ensuring there were no nails left in the grass). We also felt the price we paid was incredibly fair. We plan to use Burr again for our next big roofing job on our house. read more

"Woody" despite my Yelp user name and location, you were indeed at my home in Fairfield County for an estimate. 8 months for that response is pitiful but not surprising at all especially considering the amount of negative reviews you get here. We are extremely thankful that you are unprofessional. Saved us a ton of aggravation, money and potential litigation. But, you probably saw that we weren't suckers and so you chose to vanish. It sounds like all these bad reviews are correct. We have gone through our exhausting experience with this company: the sales rep., Chris, talks beautifully and a lot, constantly interrupts and over talks a client, doesn't hear a client and his needs. As a result a lot of mistakes and loss of time. Every little step in the design of our roof (just a roof) and estimate was taking weeks. At last after three months the owner, Robert/Woody, took time to understand the design of the roof we wanted and left us promising the correct estimate. We haven't heard from him since then. Our attempts to contact him were ignored. We lost three months of our time on this rubbish. We can not understand how this company is still in business! read more

Worked on my neighbors house on Labor Day weekend! Blocked beach Access with Two giant vehicles! When they were asked by three separate women to move the trucks/trailers they refused. I needed to have my husband Intervene. Only then did they move the trucks. Obviously male chauvinists. Never mind rude. read more

My wife and I really wanted to like this place. Seemed like the work that they do would be done with decent craftsmanship. Unfortunately, it is difficult to support a business when the president / owner (Woody) of the company does not return your calls. We have tried calling four times in the past three weeks to follow up on a quote that was given to us by Woody. We called both the office, and left voicemails on Woody's cell phone. We were told each time by his receptionist that the message will be delivered and to expect a return call from him, which never happened. It's strange that someone would put the effort of coming out to assess the property, put together a 15 page quote, and have an in person meeting just to ignore your phone calls later on. I find it quite unprofessional of the company to waste both ours and their own time like this - especially when a 10 minute spiel was given about how their family grown business takes communication seriously. read more

I just removed a roof that Burr Roofing installed. These guys did a terrible job. They installed the plywood vertically instead of horizontally. They used 3/8" plywood instead of 1/2". There were 2" gaps in the plywood where bats were getting in. The did not install the flashing all the way up the sides of the dormer. They did not remove all of the old shingles from the original roof. The installation of their shingles was incorrect as well. It's people like this that give all roofing companies a bad name. I would give them zero stars if that was an option. read more

I have to give this company 5 star. 2 jobs completed: One they did a wonderful job on our roof. They were clean and quick. We were so pleased with their services we called them back 3 years later for the second job. Burr built/remodel our garage. They gave us the best option that we should do and they listened to our design and followed through even when my husband added some changes at the end. Now I am in the process of calling them back for our windows. I'll let you know how that goes. PS they are full of information. Pam W read more

Most disappointing. Burr did our roof 20 years ago so we called them again this summer. Rep came, did cursory walk around house but never got up on roof. He promised a written bid within a week but after phone call and email, no bid and no explanation or apology. They obviously don't care. read more

Thanks woody!!! Got a great deal and great service. We had burr put new windows in our house in the fall. Woody came out to the house gave us a full review of all of our options in great detail. We ended up with replacement windows thought the whole house. What difference this winter!! Windows were done quickly and on schedule as promised. read more

Another company replaced my roof but did not recommend replacing the 30 year old skylight. It wasn't leaking before they did roof, but was after. I got a couple of prices for replacement. Burrs price was the best, they did a good job. New skylight, no leaks. read more

Burr just completed our entire exterior home renovation with new Hardiboard Siding and new Marvin windows. We are so happy with the end results. From the start we were very impressed. Woody provided an extremely detailed estimate listing step by step what the process would be like. I can't praise the team enough. From Sydney managing our many requests in the office, to their Roofer Nick, who was such a pleasure to have working at our house and made us truly feel we had the best of the best working on our home. Brian and John did fantastic carpentry work replaced our windows and front door. Can't forget to mention Christian and his team of siders that worked for three weeks in the freezing cold and truly didn't miss one detail. The project was managed by Brian McDonald and he was always available for any issues that we had and took care of everything. I recommend Burr for any roofing, siding and exterior needs! I had a very similar negavtive experience with Burr Siding. The salesperson only wanted to schedule the presentation if my husband attended. I was clearly annoyed and stated that if Burr wanted to quote the project they would interact only with me. At that point I should have dismissed Burr as a potential contractor, but I proceeded . On all subsequent appointments , the representative showed up unprepared or late. After the 3rd late appointment, I notified Burr in writing that I was no longer considering their company for my siding and window project and the reasons why. I did not receive a response from the company. Best decision I ever made! read more

Warning! We invited Burr to bid on replacing our siding and possibly roof. My wife who handles all of this for the family arranged the meeting and was shocked to learn that the representative from Burr would not work with her if the man of the house was not present - sexist!! He proceeded to ask about our marriage and other personal matters that have nothing to do with siding or roofing. Not only was his behavior sexist and offensive, but a call into the President was responded to in the exact same manner. He proceeded to tell us that he does 50% of the work in Darien CT, doesn't need or want our business and he wouldn't work with the lady of the house either. They also advertise that 48% of customers are dissatisfied with the work!! Stay away!! read more
