I've been calling since Jan. 2024 with water coming down wall where chimney is, staining wall in living room. I've made appointments, spoke with Chris in Feb., now its March. Several missed appointments. Water damage worse now. Finally called and asked for them to be honest and if they didn't want my job because its not an entire roof. Said they will show up but I'm not holding my breathe. I started researching chimney masons. Too bad because they are pleasant on the phone but Noel has been using the same roof job excuse for months. I just saw a roof go up in my neighborhood in 2 days. Maybe I will call them for an estimate. Update...I'm changing to 4 stars from 1. Friday 3/15/24 I received a call from Noel that the worker, Anthony, was in my driveway. It was scheduled for Monday. I received no courtesy call changing the day and keeping me posted. I'm taking a star off for their scheduling issues. Anthony gets 5 stars. They are lucky they have a knowledgeable worker. The next morning, Sal arrived exactly on time with his crew. After inspecting the roof, we discussed whether the damage could be repaired or whether a full roof replacement would be necessary. Rather than trying to sell me an entirely new roof, Sal proposed a repair solution that only someone with decades of experience would have identified. It was practical, cost-effective, and exactly what the situation required. As someone who owns multiple properties and routinely manages construction and renovation projects, I have a solid understanding of what constitutes fair pricing. Sal's proposal was more than reasonable. I told him he could get to work immediately and we sealed the deal with a handshake. Over the next six hours, his crew reframed a section of the roof, eliminated a problematic gutter configuration, tied the new construction seamlessly into the existing roof, installed the necessary copper flashing, waterproofed the entire area, and completed the shingle installation. I mean I sent a photos with a few narrow holes that were there, and in the area that the nails were in and the method that was used to repair the holes if you're looking for something more for If you're looking for something more formal on letterhead, I could write a report on on the letterhead with the photos and be specific about exactly what method was used and everything to repair the holes but there's a $450 charge for that"

Today ( July 5, 2021) Bob's crew installed the new roof in one day. The other roofs were removed and cleanup was fine. A good roofing company can be hard to find, though the other two companies that gave us bids seemed fine. But Bob did something extremely rare. His company called and told us most of the plywood we had was still good. Our final bill was $2500 less than the original estimate. Bob could have taken the new plywood back, charged me for it, and I would never have known the difference. Instead he displayed the highest level of integrity, so I recommend him as highly as possible.

We chose H&J based not only on price, but reputation. The job started quickly, and despite adverse weather conditions, was finished when promised. More importantly, the work was professionally executed. Steve came by daily to oversee the process and discuss the project with me. Alan, Anibal, Rony and Darwin were great! We have dogs and they were unbelievably cooperative when the dogs needed to go out. They constantly confirmed gates were closed and the yard was secure. End result? The roof is BEAUTIFUL and properly done. I have been in building maintenance and management for 30 years and have overseen multi-million dollar roof projects.
