Unlike many other unrelated classes and trainings I have attended where the instructor struggles to captivate the classes attention, Mike knows how to do it. Some individuals may be overwhelmed or intimidated going into such critical and important training, but Mike treats each person with respect and kindness while still being able to stress the gravity of the information he teaches you. On the shooting course, Mike clearly gives step by step instructions for each phase while continuously emphasizing the importance of safety. I noticed him also giving great tips and advice ensuring the shooters are the most comfortable and confident they can be during the course of action. I was excited to shoot my first match, which was what I was initially here for. I had a great time…read moreoverall, but there was one incident I was bit taken back It was almost end of the day, and I believe the shooter was one the DAP Ranger officers, I believe Ed was his name? A tall Asian guy was on the timer. Before everyone was back behind the RO, the shooter Ed drew his gun before the timer guy said "make ready". The shooter holstered his gun and stormed off in a frenzy - not sure why. He went face to face with the timer guy yelling "I'm a range officer I should know better! I know you said make ready!" The timer guy, tablet guy and another shooter confirmed that there was no command given before he drew the gun to load & make ready. The Asian timer guy was trying to de escalate and responded in kindness telling the shooter Ed "Hey it's alright, not trying to disqualify you, i'm just letting you know no command was given. we want you to shoot. we can treat this as miscommunication" Eventually it de escalated but it was a weird interaction just had a sour mood the whole day. He was actually being nice about it. I don't know what his position was at the club, but he was pretty calm, collected and safe.This kind of put a bad taste in my mouth. Not sure I'd want to refer anyone to shoot at the matches here but the rest of the range is great.

It's real and they've been in business for 10 years or so. Ronnie was super friendly when I reached out to him. Apparently, he communicates via text only which is totally fine. He was able to communicate everything needed to properly purchase. I also appreciated that he texted a picture of the back of the building because the location is tucked inside of a block and hard to navigate if you've never been there before. Michelle helped me out with paperwork and she was super friendly. They both treated me very well and were very helpful when it came to helping me with my transaction. While their transfer fee is the most I've ever paid, it's important for me to support local shops like this, and because they're appointment only, it feels good to be the only person in the store. Overall, I plan to have all of my future online purchases go through this shop. This is an A+ establishment.
