We interviewed several agents, but Shea stood out from the pack immediately. She was completely comfortable helping us buy remotely and made us feel that this approach was something that could indeed work for us. She came across as experienced, competent, and very kind. A promise of potential she delivered on in spades through our home buying experience. It's thanks to Shea's real estate savvy and efforts that we are now sitting in the home of our dreams in Portland. She sent the house over to us, and we did a Facetime tour initially, then we came up to Portland and toured the house physically as well. Shea did such a great job pointing things out on our video tour, that I honestly could have bought the house with nothing but the Facetime tour, and had zero regrets, but we were going to be in town anyway, so the stars aligned for us seeing it in person. We fell in love with the Portland home immediately. It met all our unusual requirements, and I honestly cannot imagine a home more ideally suited to my tastes. But I was still in the process of getting my house ready to sell in California - which is to say, it wasn't even listed yet. So, we knew the odds of our offer getting accepted were slim to none. But Shea gave us excellent advice on how we could sweeten our deal to make a longer contingent offer more appealing to the sellers (without throwing a ton of extra money in). And lo and behold, her advice paid off. Against all odds, our offer was accepted. The seller's agent even told us that one of the offers they'd had on the table was a cash offer. And you might think that's the end of the story, but there's more to say. Throughout the negotiation phase and after, I have never had an agent work as hard for me as Shea. She responded to every communication via any medium with alacrity. She was up late at night, emailing the other agent, and putting together counteroffers. I remember the night we were driving back from Portland after seeing the house, she sent out one of our counteroffers around midnight. Since we were remote, Shea was also the one that did our home inspections - she set up video calls with us after each inspection so we could hear the inspectors' thoughts personally. She met with decking vendors on our behalf, to get us quotes. My sister's comment about Shea was that she treated us less like clients and more like family, and I couldn't agree more. She worked so hard and went so far out of her way for us, and we are eternally grateful. If you are reading this review, I know it's likely you are still shopping for an agent. If that is the case, I really cannot recommend Shea more highly. She is in a whole different league than any agent I've worked with before - she is an absolute professional and someone you can trust implicitly with every aspect of your home purchase and sale.
