Called back for my appointment on time and the initial eye tests were done by an assistant to get my file updated and ready for the doctor. Assistant explained everything clearly as we proceeded and then left me in a room to wait for the doctor. Within minutes Dr. Maryam Ali came in and did my exam. She is very professional and personable. She answered my questions and I never felt rushed. In the end she was honest and told me that my eyes have not changed enough since my last check up to require a new prescription or new frames...unless I wanted them. I enjoyed my years with Dr. Burrows, but I am looking forward to my future appointments with Dr. Ali.

I've got nothing but good things to say here about the folks at Rainier Eye! I have been wearing…read more"readers" for a number of years now and felt like I needed something more substantial, something that I would be able to wear more regularly. I read up on their reviews from other sites and through word of mouth and decided to book an appointment. I am very glad that I did! All of the staff were very friendly and accommodating - welcoming me as a came in and throughout the entire examination and fitting. The optical evaluation staff were supportive, listened to my experiences in sight, and took the time to complete things effectively and thoroughly. They engaged in not only "shop talk" about my vision but also "small talk" to make me feel at ease and get to know me. This was much appreciated. After the evaluation was completed, I only had to wait a few minutes for the results to be shared. Once that was done and the doctor recommended what prescription I needed and the type of glasses that would be best, I went over to their fitting and selection side of the office. The woman that helped me was very professional and nice as well. She had me take a look at the many types of frames they had and pick out some that hit the style I liked. Then she grabbed a few more that were similar and had me try on about four or five different ones to let me decide which were the ones I wanted. From there, we talked about lens. I chose to go with the transition lens (which, I have to say have taken some time to get used to; but it'll come). They placed the order and came within that time window they said. Got them picked up, fitted a bit, and was on my way. They seemed to get a wee bit loose after a few weeks and I was easily able to swing by and get a free adjustment. Now they fit great. They also are very easy to work with when it comes to insurance (which isn't always the case with doctors' offices). My only wish for them is that they were open a bit on Saturdays. For me, it's hard to get there from work on weekdays and had to wait for a day off to visit. Other than that, all was great and I highly recommend them.

My eyes needed a prism in the lens to give me good vision. Other doctors didn't diagnose that, and I had plenty of problems with the glasses they prescribed. Dr. Wong makes my glasses perfectly, and he has very nice frames, from inexpensive to the latest styles. I totally recommend him! He takes most all insurances, and the gals in the office are nice and very skilled as well.

If you've ever had a DOT physical then you'll understand the rarity in this. After the medical assistant completed her tasks I was only waiting in the exam room for maybe 3-4 minutes before Deb Gross, ARNP came in complete my exam. The whole process was very thorough and efficient, which I appreciated very much. Deb and her staff were all very friendly and knowledgeable. On top of it all, the price was very competitive ($150). I will return to EH for my next DOT physical and would happily recommend them.

In June, 2025, the idiots at this clinic sent info on an incomplete unsigned DOT physical from…read more10/2024 to the FMCSA. As a result, despite the FMCSA AND WA DMV having a subsequent completed valid DOT physical (from another clinic) on file, my partner's CDL was downgraded, without notice from anyone, and he missed out on a driving job he was in line for. It took 3 weeks for him to get this straightened out with DMV. Thanks to this clinic's stupidity, he is still job-hunting. I would not touch this clinic with a 10-foot pole.

The lady who sits on the left side who schedules appointments for Doctor Mcelhaney is rude. She needs to be let go. Her customer service is horrible. Also rude on the phone if you can even get through. Will not be going back because of her. Doctor Mcelhaney is very professional and does an excellent job and so does his nurse, Jessica. However, what the customer see first and last is the receptionist and it's not worth dealing with her. Two years ago she didn't work there and the environment was much better. Took my health and business else where and that is what I recommend.
