From the very first step in the restaurant, I felt really comfortable and right at home. I live in the neighborhood and finally decided to go to Kelly Obryans after eighteen years. I wish I had gone sooner as the food is famously fantastic, flavourful and fresh. The staff are exceptional and welcome everyone with a kind word. Especially "Shadowgirl (X)" I was served the Sunday special, 10oz Prime Rib, broccolini spears, and mixed vegetables, a fully loaded baked potato...all cooked to perfection. Happy hour portions are super small and pricey. Bartender with a bull cut was not very friendly. Will go elsewhere next time.

I don't know about everyone else's order but was not impressed with the signature potchos (?) were not very hot ~ just lukewarm and it took forever to get them in the first place and there were 10 of us. I told the girl beside me how good those were but hers weren't hot as well so I don't think she was impressed with them at all Then the waitress asks us to give a 5star review to be entered I. Just tried again after not going for a while. Ordered their new menu item Irish short ribs. It came minus the Cajun onions as stated. The meat was tender but quite tasteless. I waited for 5 minutes to start eating but the onions never showed up. I would not order it again. read more

Thanks Kelly O's! Just celebrated my 50th birthday party with my twin brother and you all really came through. We called ahead and your staff booked us the whole pub. We were loud, obnoxious and quite a lot drunk, and it was great. Your staff Kiara, Lindsay, and Sheenhan (and others) promptly served without being in the way, and I didn't get one complaint from any attendee. It was extra amazing as my mother whom we lost in 2018 used to love Kelly O's for her birthday. Keep it up and I look forward to my next visit. read more

Just got here. Friendly service so far. Beautiful girls in tartan skirts. NICE! Will review the food later. Ugg! The food not so good. Onion soup bland, hot chicken wings just baked with hot sauce poured over them ( not crispy at all ) but quesadillas were good. 1 out of 3. :-( As with other reviews, this place although pleasing to look at is hit and miss with food. Sadly, our waitress doesn't like people. No eye contact, preferred chatting with the bar workers than helping us, ( forgot our drinks ) and insincere half smile. What a stink face. That said, all the other waiters/ waitresses seemed to be professional. Wednesday evening. Place was cathedral empty. meaning they only get the tourists. No locals. Also sad. We had a group of 7 on Saturday. After 1 1/2 hour wait and asking about our order twice, it finally came. It was cold. The Pachos were a congealed mess - cold all the way through. The burger and chicken burger were not as cold but not warm. The Pachos were sent back. The burgers were eaten because people were so hungry. The manager generously (sarcasm) didn't charge us for the Pachos, and gave us 20%off the coffees we ordered while waiting and the 2 burgers. We left and went elsewhere to eat. I picked a Caesar salad for my side, and you can order an extra piece of fish for $7.15 so when I received my order and had one piece of fish in the box and a small Caesar side salad which would be worth $12. 83!! Third time at this restaurant, and this will be the last. We went because we were given a gift certificate. Each time we went, the food was mediocre, and service leaves a lot to be desired. After we paid our bill, the waitress returned incorrect amount for change, it looked like she kept a couple dollars for herself. We just came from Happy Hour this afternoon and had wonderful wings, dry ribs and flatbread with our drinks. Prices are amazing but the food was the highlight there which is impressive from previous years. Out of this world good and very worth every penny. Wait staff was very personable. Probably a great place for drinks and snacks but I would pass for dinner. Came with a family party of 6 on a Sunday about 5:00 pm. The place wasn't very busy. We asked for a booth and ended up in one where the sun was in a couple of our parties eyes. Waitress came and we ordered drinks. They were out of Harps so I settled for a Kilkenny. Son in law ordered a cocktail that included raspberry and my grandson a raspberry slush. Even though they weren't busy (staff were standing around talking to each other) the waitress came back in a while only to inform us that they were out of raspberry syrup so couldn't make either the slush or cocktail. Switched to strawberry. Drinks finally came sans my grandson's. After a while longer waitress came by to tell us that they screwed up the drink and it was some grapefruit mango concoction but would we accept it. One taste and my grandson asked for what he ordered, which took more time. We went ahead and placed orders. Appetizers of a Margarita flatbread that was fine and calamari that was straight from the freezer to the fryer,not good. Son in law ordered a burger for which he requested extra sauce that never came. My wife had a "steak sandwich " that turned out to be a small sirloin on a slice of toast. Not sure where the Himalayan salt was. I had the Extreme Pachos, advertised with spicy beef and jalapeño's. There was absolutely nothing "spicy" about it. My daughter had the chicken lettuce wrap that was average. The saving grace of the meal was dessert, both chocolate conspiracy and mud pie were delicious. All in all for a slow night with slow service and only average food this would not be my choice for dinner. read more

WORST FOOD EVER!! We decided to try this restaurant as their Kelowna location has always been great. Not so here! When we arrived, the bar was not only quiet but quickly emptied as the Super Bowl had just finished. Our Server was pretty good, we ordered our food & drinks right away as we already knew what we wanted. While waiting, a member of their bar staff approached us with some free stuff they had been giving away during the Super Bowl earlier. We took it & said thank you. Everything was fine with until our food arrived. My husband steak was pure gristle & fat. His Caesar salad was warm like it had been sitting under a heat lamp. The beef in my beef stroganoff had been reheated & chopped into massive chunks of gristle. (It didn't even resemble a stroganoff in anyway). The meat on my friend's fajita's was burnt to a crisp & her boyfriend's 'pachos' were cold. When my friend asked for a second drink, it took our Server over 20 minutes to return. At this point, our side of the bar was completely empty except for 4 people sitting at the bar. Couldn't work out why it took so long. When my husband complained about his meal, he was offered something else by the server but he instead asked if he could 'doggy bag' his steak to give to our dogs. We we're told that if we have it doggy bagged we would have to pay for it despite the complaint. We said that was ok. After paying our bill, we still left a tip despite our disappointing meal. HOWEVER, as we got up to leave we heard the Manageress utter under her breath to our Server 'and they got the free s**t!'. My husband immediately went to complain to her for her comment but all she could say to him was 'We don't need your business.' This Restaurant is a shambles. I have a Red Seal in catering & would be embarrassed to serve the food that we received tonight. If you really, really enjoy the franchise, feel free to eat at their Bernard Ave location in Kelowna. Don't eat here unless your prepared to be verbally abused by the Manageress & to be disappointed by the food. Our meals consisted of hard Brussel sprouts, unseasoned fettuccine Alfredo that tastes like cream and noodles, cesser salad dunked in garlic, and soup that was barely edible. They poured a whole container of pepper in the thousand island dressing. I asked for basil to try save my fettuccine and believe it or not their kitchen doesn't even have basil. Unbelievably bad. We've been here a few times now and the only reason we keep going back is because of the deal they have with the local BCHL hockey team*. The food every time has been either cold or extremely salty. The meat is terrible quality with most of the cut being made up of fat and gristle. The service has generally been average to good. Nothing that remotely makes up for the food. *during regular season you can get 2 game tickets plus a $20 gift card for $25.
