This is the place to go when looking for different papers. Can't beat a brick and mortar store for seeing the different papers first hand, but Kelly is even better, for they have loose sheets so you can FEEL the different papers. This is very important for me. Their selection far exceeds office supply stores, with extra large paper sizes in addition to the traditional letter and legal. This is a one-stop-shop for paper of varying weights in a multitude of colors! I am a paper crafter that has learned, over the years, that textured paper is beautiful but difficult to laminate - especially when layering product, as I do. This place gets five stars for having printer-paper-weight black paper. (I can't find my picture with the actual weight.) Why does that deserve so many stars? Because black serves as a great border to make other papers pop. I'd been using cardstock - the only black paper that's richer than construction paper - to frame pictures and verbiage. Cardstock adds an extra level of thickness to the already textured / thick papers I use as the frame of my work, which means bubbly laminated products. Sista don't like that. This place is great for solid color, marbled, and metallic paper that is NOT textured which is, honestly, my only womp womp about this store. BUT the black paper makes up for this. AND you can purchase most goods by sheet or by ream. My paper is 25 cents each - more than reasonable! They, also, offer an assortment of mailing supplies. Customer service has been on point the few times I've visited. You can inform the staff of what you are looking for and they will showcase all viable options. It can be easy to pass the driveway for this store despite the fact that there is a sign on the street indicating to drive towards the back of the lot to find it. There is plenty of parking as far as I have experienced. There are a few others stores that share the lot but I've never had to wait for parking. Requested a price quote for 30,000 custom envelopes on a Tuesday, called Wednesday to find out about it and was told "I'll have David call you back boss". No call back. I called Thursday and David said he'd call me back. No call back. So I emailed Thursday night thinking this would get me a response...no response. I called Friday again and this time I emphasized I would stay on the phone until he finds out the quote. Mentioned to him I emailed them asking for info on my quote and it took him a few minutes going through the emails to find my email. So, when emailing them it appears the emails basically go in mass to an inbox and if yours gets attention, you lucked out. I felt I had to beg them to accept my business but in the end I went to Uline Paper instead. Uline takes calls 24/7. Impressed. Then this morning, I needed 15000 sheets of paper. From my previous visit 2 weeks ago I recalled the paper I liked was $4.04/ream. I went there this morning and saw it was priced at $4.03/ream. When the employee rang me up, he charged $4.15/ream, not the marked price of $4.03. He couldn't explain why the mis-price nor would he sell it to me for the marked price. I wanted to like this place/company but my experience will have me going to Uline for now on...very disappointed. read more

Great service! I came here with my mom to find invitations for my wedding. I was completely over whelmed until CELSY helped me. I explained I was on a budget so she came up with a bunch of options. She helped me find a design that would work with my colors and theme. She walked me around the store showing me samples and even suggested some clearance paper that was a great deal. In the end I purchased the clearance paper for cheap and she gave me free samples of paper so that I could take them home to play with the design and show them to my fiancé. Our company has had an account with Kelly paper co. in Gardena since at least 2007. They have always been accommodating and we have enjoyed this partnership for these past 8 years and have never had a complaint. However recent contact with them in placing an order for deliver has me a bit disgruntled. On a late morning noontime I placed an order for several cases of copy paper. My conversation with the young lady that day gave me the impression from our conversation that the order would be completed on saturday pending one item not in stock until then and the items would be delivered to my business location that saturday.I said yes thanks someone would be there. No delivery came by 6pm which was around the time i left work. Upon my arrival on Monday morning there still was no delivery. I called and inquired as to when to expect delivery since we didn't receive and product. I was told there is no saturday delivery and my order was in the store awaiting pickup. I never made arrangement for pickup because my vehicle isn't large enough for transporting bulk paper products. I asked to speak to the lady I arranged the order with, Celsy, she insisted I made arrangement to pickup and never told me it would be delivered. (I asked if our outstanding bill had any influence on not being delivered). She then stated that the account was suspended. I then advised her a check had been mailed the wednesday before I placed the order, but I would check for the correctness of the date. I called back and asked if the order could be delivered the following day and she said not until a faxed copy of the check was sent to the accounts collection office. I was surprised for such a small amount (less than $300.00) would cause such a stir since we have been doing business with Kelly since 2007 and always paid our accounts in a timely fashion. not to mention that i made up my side of the conversation on friday about delivery. We may be looking for a different paper company whom appreciates a continuous partnership with a small local business that's been around since 1953. read more
