The old 20x24 "C" prints I had displayed on my walls were starting to fade. So I looked for a place I could get archival digital prints made. I found this no frills print shop in Old Torrance that had great ratings on Yelp. I worked with Dina who help interpolate the original negative scans to get them to print 20x24 (the original scans from negatives). I was very please with the finished prints, thanks to Dina's help. I am an artist who was looking all over los angeles for a fine-arts print shop that would print on a certain type of flat, large scale paper (that I provide - not a role) It was a somewhat unorthodox request this I understood. But most every time I would call a shop and explain my needs, they would shoot me down rather quickly because the low level associate I was speaking to had no real clue what their printers were capable. As soon as I called APC and explained my need to Dina, I knew they were special. She wasn't quite sure if her shop could accommodate my request, but said they would be willing to try. Jackpot! And here is why this shop is so great especially for artists - because they are artists themselves! When I arrived, Dina & Ron were very pleasant and in the end, the job was done flawlessly. After an unfortunate experience with Nextdayflyers (after being a loyal customer for about 2 years now!), I was on the hunt for a replacement. Luckily I was able to find some establishments with Yelp. The lady (Dina) who answered the phone was polite and even though my order was slightly complex (I needed businesses cards, preferably same day), she was willing to help. I explained the situation with Nextdayflyers and she asked me to email her the files. She attempted to call me back within less than 45 after sending the files to confirm the order. I called her back and was told that they could do it, and she would call me when the cards were done. She noted that there was some issue with the bleed that she was able to correct for me. Best of all, there minimum for business cards is 250 and the price was WAY less than Nextdayflyers. I will update my review once I pick up the cards and see the quality. If it's anything like the service so far, I know I won't be disappointed. Awesome! ---Update--- Not even a full business day later the cards are ready. Dina was extremely professional and helpful via phone and email all through the process, even test-printing my image after recommending I send it to her via an online service (free). All of this was done without me stepping foot in the business, saving me a lot of time. After arriving at APC Fine Arts & Graphics to pickup the finished product (which looks amazing), I realized I was dealing with not only a professional print business, but also an amazing group of professional artists, photographers, and graphic designers with a beautiful gallery, Dina among them! And Dina took extra care in packing the print in a tube for me to make sure it was not damaged, all for a VERY reasonable price. This is a great Torrance business with a history dating back to the 1920's, and the quality of their work shows it. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! read more
