Awesome shop, chill vibes on the inside, seems like nice barbers (people) waiting area nice comfortable seats, they even have a pool table in the middle and tv to watch with some cool awesome hair products. It's was my first time here, walked in last week and found out they don't do walk-in's. I took a card from one of the barber's (Michael Remigio). Waited till a week to schedule a hair cut appointment, when it was pay day week. Scheduling from the business card had to use a iPhone camera scan to book. First time ever booking through this app and using the platform with this guy. I had couple issues using the platform and had to refresh couple times re-input my info cc etc... - 1hr duration for a cut My apologies for not really paying attention to my confirmed time for Aug.17.23 at 3:00pm, I showed up little before 3:30pm thinking my appointment was at 3:30. Just got done with work 2am-1pm. Had to head to KVMH doctors at 2:30pm showed up early they took me in at 1:40ish, 2:30-2:50 picked up the kids from school. Went home dropped off the kids headed down to the shop. I was told I can't reschedule and I can't get a haircut at 3:30pm. I couldn't even get a compensation not even a refund being a first time customer. No credit and No Rescheduling. Maybe I'll try again? My total: $35 plus taxes/fees $4.80, 40% tip $15, Total: $54.80. I'd never been to American barber shop before but Kelly's place was sick. Great guy, good cut, loved the knowledge he had about Kauai and the south of the island. I knew Kelly from high school. Very pleasant, down to earth kind of guy, friendly, and easy to get along with. His shop is located in the biggest little town of Hanapepe right across Bank of Hawaii. Kelly's shop has a homey feel. There's a pool table as well as a foosball table. Book your appointment online with Kelly you won't regret it. Very knowledgeable...and after 51 years of me getting haircuts all over the states, Kelly figured out that I was parting my hair on the wrong side! lol That blew my mind. Looks SO much better now! Top notch barber shop. Absolute 5 star rating. I was visiting and needed a haircut. I walked into a barber down the street from Kelly and got a terrible cut. The woman was so nice I didn't want to say anything. I just paid the 10 bucks, gave her a 3 dollar tip and left to find someone to fix my weedwhacked head. I found Kelly's shop right down the road and walked in. He was booked solid for a week but after I explained what happened he told me to come back after he closed and he would help he out. He gave me a 5 star cut and wanted to comp me on behalf of Hanapepe business association! Kelly is an outstanding barber and representative of the Hanapepe business association. I've been seeing uncle Kelly since he first started in hanapepe, and since then I never left! Good and affordable cuts! Tip of advice is if you KNOW you need a haircut ahead of time, then book it right away online at his scheduling website asap because appointments get filled very quick! I've been to many other barbers, but uncle Kelly is the best! He pretty much can do any style and line up. Nice and down to earth person.
