Granted I didn't purchase any chocolate but I did get a bag of orange slices for my Grandmom who loved them. I asked to have a box, which I was willing to purchase so I could give them as a gift. The owner who was very rude, told me she didn't have any. I went to the counter across the way and another lady gladly gave me a box and didn't even charge me. I've visited this location a few times and I have yet to be disappointed. Street parking is available. Plenty of friendly, helpful staff to assist. Prices are reasonable. The chocolate is very good and of high quality. I like picking stuff up when i'm in the area. Oh and our family favorite is M&M covered pretzels. read more

We recently went joy-riding through the treasures of Philly burbs, and popped a U-y to stop in at this candy delight. Have you ever seen Pippi Longstocking? There's a scene where she take a handful of gold to a BonBon shop and all the kids in the town get all the candy they want, walking out with armfuls of licorice strings, lollipops, cotton candy, jellybeans... This is how I felt that day. Now, I've been to my fair of confectioners, and this day I was looking for candy to stock up for an upcoming candy party. Kelly's Kandy had a very special feeling to it... it didn't have EVERYTHING, but what it has is fresh, unique, and inexpensive. I LOVE their Valentine's options right now, from small boxes of specialty chocolates, to mounds of festive bulk ju ju hearts, red hots, etc. Fudge runs only $8 / pound, which I haven't seen anywhere in years! Some special assets to Kelly's Kandy would be the molded chocolates... theres a wall of adorable novelties (such as Snow White and Spiderman) for 1.50 - 3.00, and you can custom order special designs. She also has FABULOUS 3D heels! Like those fancy ones people collect as knick knacks, but made of chocolate and decorated with ribbons and rock candy. It was a shoe-in for a Valentine I have in mind ;) This would be a great place for wedding favors, as they have pearled carton-fillers for $8 /pound, and truffles galore. I also really loved a bin of shoestring licorice that looked homemade - in a good way. I spent an awesome $37 dollars that day and left like Willy Wonka... and some wonderful swirl lollipops will be my featurette at my party:) read more

A great shop that's been around for years. Kelly's has a good selection of home made candies and fudge, as well as candy in bulk. They even have some fresh roasted nuts too. It's not a big store, but it has that old fashioned feel, and smell, to it. My favorite, by far, is their chocolate covered pretzels. The pretzels are of the thin type, nice and salty, with a good coating of chocolate. They sell them by the pound, but I like to buy the 2lb bags of broken or pieces. It's the same price as the pound, but 2x as much. read more

Kelly's Kandy is a family business with personalized service. Their chocolate covered pretzels are to die for! They put names on their homemade Easter Eggs, now who does that anymore? It is a tradition in my house to get my kids their special egg with their name on it. What a selection! They have candy from my childhood, too (Skybars, Neccos, Mars bars, MaryJanes, Mallo cups, etc.) They even have chocolate skateboards, cars, dancers, along with chocolate bunnies, lambs, crosses. I said it in 2011, and I say it now: Woohoo - this IS as good as it gets! I'm pretty sure most of their stuff in made in-house. Their chocolate covered pretzels are my favorite, except at St. Patty's day and then the Irish Potatos are, and then at Easter - OMG Coconut Cream Dark Chocolate Eggs!!! I'm a dark chocolate freak and they Anyone who loves chocolate will die for it. They have a bin full of broken milk-chocolate pieces they sell cheap. I don't even want to try their fudge. I looks too good. This is a big store (for a candy store) and they have lots of gift items and balloons too. I highly recommend this place. Kelly's is a great old school candy shop. I come here only about twice a year; Easter and Christmas goodies! My favorites are the jelly beans, which I could easily house an entire bag of, and those yummy little gummy fruit slices. Remember them? The ones covered in sugar? Yummmm! I've been candy shopping at Kelly's for at least 20 years. Their candy is delicious and won't break the bank. The store smells delightful and they have a great array of gift items for any chocoholic! Every Christmas I take the 1 1/2 hr ride and buy their buttercreams and a selection of chocolate covered nuts and creams. Yum, they are wonderful. I'll be checking out the Easter goodies this weekend. This has become a family tradition for us and I'm hoping Kelly's will be around for a very long time to come. read more

I live in San Antonio, TX and recently ordered Irish potatoes for my son's birthday. When the box arrived the potatoes were rolling around in the UPS box. I was so disappointed because I have been ordering from Kelly's long distance for years from different states and never had a problem. When I emailed Kelly's to let them know, they immediately sent an apology and replacement. You can't beat a business with that kind of integrity. I will continue to order from them and enjoy the best chocolate I have ever had. read more

I have never visited the store, but today I received a gift box of Kelly's Chocolates from a friend. Oh my! He warned me that I needed to exercise self-control because their chocolate covered nuts were the best. Well I love chocolate covered nuts, especially pecans, almonds and walnuts and Kelly's made me even love cashews and macadamias which I rarely eat. I visit Philly a few times a year, and now will know to stop by Kelly's when I get a chance. This chocolate took me back to my childhood when you could always find one good confectionery in the neighborhood. read more

My husband and I were looking for cashew brittle. It isn't an easy thing to find. A woman in another candy store told us about Kelly's. She said they have everything. We walked in the store and I was instantly transported to my childhood. They have candies I haven't seen since I was a little girl. The place is amazing. we received a box of kelly's kandy chocolate pretzels as a gift.. after reading the ingredients i didnt eat them, they are made with imitation vanilla not real vanilla and they contain hydrogenated soybean oil.. yes they are expensive but cheaply made.. i throw out anything containing hydrogenated oil as it is a trans fat and a cheap way of extending the shelf life of a product, it is also banned in most european countries.. im not telling you not to eat them, but if your going to make a product and sell it at a premium price then please use good ingredients not fake vanilla and trans fat.. read more
