If you have a bad review about this store I guarantee it was you not them.If your dog is matted and in pain they will do what's right. If your rude and yell at them then complain online you should look in the mirror before you type and ask yourself why. Groomers are not punching bags for your bad day or bad pet ownership habits. I took my ragdoll cat to Kelly's for her first grooming experience. They were so helpful and kind, and totally put my mind at ease. They did a great job on our girl. They bathe, dry them, clip their nails and clean the ears as well. My kitty was calm and relaxed when I picked her up, and her cut was just what I requested. Not sure what the others on here are complaining about, getting cursed at, etc. The service and people here are fantastic. I will be bringing my kitty here again! read more

Just had a terrible experience there. We have take our dogs there for years, the grooming is always very good, however this time, we were told our dogs would be done around noon. at 12:35 we still had not heard. I called and nicely asked when our dogs would be ready, since it took longer than normal. they said the dogs would be ready in ten minutes, I said thank you. When we picked up the dogs, the owner tore into us and said we were aggressive on the phone and in person. He stormed at us and threatened to call the police! All because we asked about dogs! please take your dogs elsewhere, this guy is out of control, as many others have stated. I hope his very capable groomers find a better place to work. read more

Went to Kelly's for my 4 month old mini goldendoodle! They were so gentle with him and they did such an amazing job even despite him being a pup and it being his first grooming ever! I had the worst business experience of my life. Took my two dogs in this summer and one of the cuts was horrible. New owner, Danny, said he would comp the next cut but when we went in a few months later, he laid in to me saying everyone wants something for free. He ultimately gave me a 15% discount--huh? Now I know why he wouldn't put the credit in writing. He had no intention of honoring it. Furthermore, he said he knew I kept calling on the phone for the credit--which I never did--only the day we took the pups in. I assume he gets a lot of these and can't keep the unhappy customers straight. I've also heard him screaming to other customers on the phone when I've gone in. He puts his own customers down constantly. Would give them a zero if I could. No one deserves the abuse that I got when it was their screw up. Danny might have some good groomers but anyone that has a conscience would never work there or for him. read more

This place is fabulous! I brought my (almost) 2 year old Sheepadoodle here to try a different groomer than the one I have been using. I am so happy with the cut. He was treated so well, and the staff seems to genuinely love the animals they groom. The groomer took her time, and despite the fact that my dog has a very difficult coat, she made him look so good! Sheepadoodles can be a very hard breed to groom, and we frequently (about every 6-8 weeks) take him to the groomer. Even with that frequency he sometimes came out of the other groomer looking like they just shaved him down! At Kelly's they took their time, and really fluffed him out. I will definitely return, and consider this my new Groomer! read more

We moved here last August from NYC and was recommended Kelly's Pet Boutique by another neighborhood shih tzu owner. We've brought our Max here 5 times over the past year and have been happy with the results. They do welcome feedback. The fur on Max's ears grows very thick and fast and easily gets matted, so I always ask that they shave it down very short which they do. We don't keep it long like other shih tzus, and they completely accommodate us. They might be a little pricier than other groomers, but they give consistently good cuts, and Max can be "difficult." He doesn't really like strangers handling his face, but they get in nice and close to clean him up even if it takes more time. I have not really seen any nicks on him. His fur is always soft and smooth after grooming. read more

I've gone here a couple times. The first time I went, they promised to have my dog ready in time because I had to go to work at a certain time and my dog wasn't ready and I was 2 hours late to work. The next time I went, I was picking up my dog and I heard one of the workers say "shut the f*ck up" to one of the dogs. The third time I went, I saw one of the workers hit one of the dogs. NO Feedback Allowed! RUN your pet right past Kelly's! Do NOT stop, do NOT drop off your dog for grooming! Today, I offered quiet feedback on the previous grooming suggesting that I would like the face and tail to remain a little longer. I was confronted by the groomer from that previous visit who loudly asserted that "he didn't appreciate what I was saying because he had 17 years experience and knew what he was doing!". I hadn't said anything personally negative about him, just that he had cut my dog shorter than usual last time. I frankly was surprised that he was so irate and told him, "Look, I'm back, I'm just telling (my usual groomer) what I want. When he continued to berate me I suggested it would be simpler if I just left, with my dog. He shouted, "Keep on steppin' Honey!" and followed me out the door finishing with a "F--- You"! It was certainly a more heartfelt goodbye than the typical "have a nice day" but ....really? There are groomers in the area with more self esteem and fewer anger issues. Find them. read more

Love Love Love Kelly's. A good friend and neighbor who's little grey poodle was always impeccably groomed recommended Kelly's to us (Thanks Blake & Pepper!). We have taken our Westies Mac and Little Bit here for a number of years and they have always done an outstanding job. We were very hesitant to take Mac to any groomer, he is completely blind and has been since birth, not sure how well he would do in an unknown environment with strangers but he does GREAT at Kelly's. So happy we found this place. Little Bit is no longer with us but Mac continues to go to Kelly's for his grooming, he is 14 now and they do a wonderful job with him. Couldn't ask for more! read more

This place is so unprofessional and a waste of money! I took my cat here for a nail trimming, since the place I regularly took her closed. When I got home, I noticed blood on the car seat and at further examination, I found my cat had a bloody paw. I decided to call and ask them what was up. The man who answered said it was normal and that it happens all the time. I told him I have been getting my cat's nails cut for many years and not once has this happened to her. He then proceeded to call me a "bitch" and "fucking crazy", and accused me of only calling to get my money back (that was never my intention). I have three dogs and have taken them to numerous groomers. Never have I experienced anything like Kelly's - complete chaos with dogs running around everywhere, and a male groomer aggressively yelling at an animal to be quiet. After observing the place for 5 minutes while waiting for someone to help me I knew I couldn't leave my dog to be groomed. It's not a safe place for dogs. Just moved to the area & ive taken my cat to two other places. One of them didn't finish the haircut and gave her back half done, and the other actually cut off a piece of her ear :( . I'm so happy I finally found a great place to take my cat for her lion cuts! They did such an amazing job. My cats long hair can be hard to maintain since she loves laying on anything damp &that causes mattes pretty often. I will definitely be taking her here from now on. read more

Terrible customer service. I took my dog there for the first time a couple of days ago. Not only did it take them 3 hours till i could get my dog back but once i got her she had been so excited she jumped up on and me cut my leg open and then the tops of my feet just by stepping on them. I didn't want to bring her back in there after they had done such a bad job so i called Pet Smart in Okemos brought my dog over there and they fixed up her nails because then had been cut so poorly. While I was there i noticed that my dog had a rash all over her chest. So I called over to Kellys to see if I could get a refund even if it was just for her nails. Kelly the owner was beyond rude and wouldn't give me a refund. She said I should have brought my dog back there. If they would have done it right the first time it wouldn't have been a problem. Lesson learned stick with Pet Smart in Okemos where I have never had a problem. read more
