On December 25, 2022 at 3:30 am, the sprinkling system for the 40 unit complex that I live in blew! Unfortunately the pipes were in my apartment which then proceeded to flood my apartment. Had to live in a motel for two months until repairs were completed. Every single person, from Ken Martin, the senior project manager to the unpackers were absolutely professional, kind and caring. Horrible experience. Fire happened on Nov 30th 2021, and my tenants never got back in until August 2022. This was a small project, a 950 sq foot condo. Absolutely nothing was touched until June of 2022. It just sat for months and months. All I got was excuses, and things were not done properly at all. I was given a new property manager, that had way too much on his plate. I was gone for three months for the winter, and my project just got pushed aside, because they took on too much work, and did not have enough help. I had to go there 2-3 times daily to check on things. I caught many mistakes, that saved Kelman money. If I would not have done tis, the project would have taken even longer. I would never recommend this company to anyone. read more

Flood damage? Fire damage? Mother Nature damage? Whatever ails your house- Kelmann can have it back to normal in no time. One of the properties that I own in Milwaukee had a run in with a neighboring house. That other house was falling apart and the chimney crumbled, smashing bricks through my windows and taking down siding and molding in it's wake. Kelmann came out immediately to asses the problem- boarded up the damaged windows so my tenants weren't freezing (yeah- this kind of stuff always happens in the Winter months) measured for glass and screens and were back within a day to have things looking as good as new. And the price? Reasonable given I had to manage the whole thing over the phone given I don't live in Milwaukee. Now mine was a small project for them- but if you check out their website- where they really shine are those huge disasters (like fire) that can wreck your whole house. The basement flooded over Memorial Day weekend, and Kelmann did an amazing job with the clean-up. Todd came to the house to assess everything and kept me informed the whole time. Working with Kellman was worse than the fire itself. There is a list too long of issues we had with the Rep that did the quote, project manager and the people that did the work. I met some of the folks from Kelmann several years ago (Adam Nelson & Tom Kelly) and remember thinking they were nice guys, but I hoped I'd never need to do business with them. A few years and one forgotten candle later and I did. Everyone on their team that I've encountered has been courteous and very professional, including Joelle, Justin, Dan, Tammy, Maria & Marcella. The extent to which they are cleaning and repairing our home is beyond what we realized was needed or expected, but is greatly appreciated. Great team, great communications and exceptional service. We had the pleasure of meeting and working with Kladi and Johnathan over course of this week. They arrived on time in uniform and very professional. Their Project Manager James was with them throughout the first day of work and provided consistent updates on the progress of the clean up. The work was completed with the greatest concern about containment and the safety of my family and the staff in our home. The team returned several times over the week to assess the progress of their work and each time were on time and diligent with their assignments. We appreciate everything during this clean up. First crew did not do a good job in the mold abatement. Kellman was the company the insurance company recommended. After the mold abatement crew left, the air inspector was surprised to see visible mold left and that the mold in the air was very high. Debris and pieces of insulation was left behind that had dust on it. The second crew was better but the mold content was at high red levels. For several weeks hepa fans had to be left on which resulted in an incredibly high electric bill and delay in the reconstruction. The person at the company was pleasant enough and tried to rectify the situation by leaving the hepa fans in as long as he could. The insurance company was charged full price for the first crew even though it was deficient work according to my mold tester. read more

Five star service! I had a plumber come in to fix an exterior hose spicket after recently putting our house up for sale. The plumber dislodged a pipe in my recently finished basement causing water damage. James Nash, Guy Hubbert, and Armani Hughes responded immediately and were able to mitigate the damage. My husband and Father in Law started a house project they couldn't finish. I got a fair quote from Kelmann and they were here the next week fixing everything. I reached out to Kelmann for water damage, they had a rep. come to our home during his visit our insurance adjustor arrived as well. Later in the day we were told by insurance our damage would not be covered due to preexisting leakage. Ken our rep. had spoken to the insurance adjustor and knew we not would not be coverage as well. When I reached out to Kelmann for a quote I was told since it was the weekend the rates would be extensive and they would have to come back to get a proper measurement to give a quote. Well the rep. was already here wouldn't he have measured at that time?? I called back a few times to acquire a quote - no response. I finally rec. a call back from the original rep. and he basically said they are to busy to come back. We clearly still needed the work done with or without insurance coverage. I feel the way they handled the whole situation was very poor customer service! read more

My husband and I cannot thank the people at Kelmann Restoration enough for all they have done for us in the last 5 months. After a house fire that started in our chimney in March of this year, the crew from Kelmann were there within an hour after the fire was put out by our fire department and immediately started mitigation. This was 1:00 in the morning! The last 5 months for us have been horrific from being displaced but Kelmann made our minds so much more at ease with the way they handled everything from the mitigation right through to the end of construction. I am happy to say we are now back in our home thanks to them and our lives may have changed .... but ... for the better! The work that their crews did was beyond expectations. Had multiple issues with the Kelmann Restoration. They were on the insurance company's preferred contractor list. Many of the issues come from poor quality of work, unable to keep their own time schedule, and poor company management, goals and objectives. The poor quality of work was on nearly every aspect of the project. May items had to be done multiple times from the framing to the siding. I literally have brand new siding buckling and not trimmed to the correct size as you can see the walls behind the siding. The job contract stated they would start the job within 2-3 weeks and completion within 3 months. The contract was in July 2014 and a year later they still have not completed. Management will write apology letters, emails and will apologies in person all day long. In a short period of time the same style of "I have new jobs to start before finishing yours" returns. The company is more worried about making money than doing the construction correctly the first time. read more
