We've been visiting my father-in-law at Frontier Rehabilitation for almost a year, and he seems to…read morebe genuinely well-cared for in this facility. Sadly, he has recently transitioned to hospice care, but we were very happy to learn he can stay in the same facility during these last days. It's comforting to know our loved one can remain in a place that has some familiarity during this final stage of his life. Though the facility is somewhat aged, it appears to be well-maintained and clean. The staff are kind, attentive, and very aware of visitors in the building. Nothing goes unnoticed, and this brings me comfort. When the time comes, I hope to receive the same level of care my father-in-law is receiving at Frontier Rehabilitation and Extended Care Center.

The first one I called - but not within 24 hours. Counseling over an unexpected family emergency! (Nice practice). Then I called and left a message to cancel a string of appointments and the counselor "claimed" she didn't get the message! I will be filing a complaint with Kaiser (my insurance company) RIDICULOUS! I understand they are a business, but when they don't take appropriate steps to ensure they notate cancelled appointment just to earn a buck!!!!! SHAME ON THEM!!! On top of the that, they charged me personally more than they charge my insurance for a visit?

No activities are offered...ooopss..it is posted on one place, but it includes "reading newspaper" most days, which only lasts 1/2 hour and is on 3rd floor and the other floor requires an aide to take them up and the aides do not have the time to do that. They say on their website that they have many activities.."ice cream socials, arts and crafts classes, music appreciation, current events, or a lecture series. We also feature many local artists and musicians showing off their talents"...in 3 months there..I saw no such things. The "rehab" consists of very little, only about 3/4 hour 5 days a week. The food is terrible and anytime a patient complains it is all "its a new cook, give them some time". They offer a sandwich if patient is still hungry, but then "darn, there is none" is what the patient is told.
