FREE PRINTING AND SCANNING -- I needed to scan a few pages so I walked in and got help. Someone at the front desk led me to a printer and showed me how to scan my document(s). I believe I scanned more than 1 page and it was quick and easy. He also told me that the library offers free printing every day to library card holders up to a certain dollar amount (I think $2.50/day worth). The library is small but seemed to have a nice selection of books. While I didn't have time to browse through books, I did notice the selection of books when I walked in. The carrousel from Euclid Beach encased in a glass sphere dominates the street corner. Two rides are included with admission to the museum. Near the carrousel on the main floor and in the basement are many cars. The basement has some newer models (i.e., 2000s), but the upstairs has models dating back to the carriage era. I found the electric cars the most interesting - how we have come full circle as the times change. A Goodyear blimp gondola was even on display. The basement also had a "Street of Shops" which appeared to be similar to what the William McKinley museum has in operation. Unfortunately, because it was my favorite part of the McKinley museum, Western Reserves' Street of Shops was closed. Ridiculously, a sign blamed lighting and a bumpy road for the closure. Enroute to the parking garage is the more modern part of the museum. There's a neat model of the Terminal Tower and a timeline on the wall from Moses Cleveland to the Cavs championship. Then covering a considerable amount of space are two houses. One of the homes contains general museum galleries, though the structure of the home and the gardens are cool in and of themselves. The other house, you can walk through or take a guided tour (free with admission). This house was a bit disappointing, as it wasn't restored or designed to resemble its original appearance. It has been used as a place to showcase period furniture and artifacts. So no getting to see how the family's whose stories touched this house lived. All in all I'm glad I finally took the time to visit this museum Not sure what took me so long, but don't make the same mistake.

THE BEST LIBRARY!!!…read more I visited the Bay Village library for the first time in early May 2026. The two-story library is a beautiful gray and white colour on the outside and has a rooftop patio. It's a very beautiful library that still looks and feels brand new as it was built 4 years ago in 2022, opening on April 30th of that year. This review is being written in Spring 2026 so ignore the old reviews because the library is different now. The library is no longer at a school and it is now next to Cahoon Memorial Park. The staff I encountered were friendly and helpful in directing me to seats upstairs. BOOKS -- Plenty of books to choose from ranging from children's, young adults, and adults. As I walked in, I noticed a book that I would love to read and I browsed it for about a minute. I didn't borrow any books for my first visit because I have many books at home that I still need to read. I also visited the library not to browse books but I came to do some things on my personal laptop. I'm excited to borrow books here soon. TABLES/CHAIRS -- There are lots of spots to sit down to read or work on a laptop. I found a table and chair upstairs that had plenty of outlets to choose from to plug in my laptop. There is a quiet study room upstairs with a door. There is a balcony/terrace upstairs that has tables and chairs which is perfect so it at during the nice summer months. Downstairs has tables and chairs plus a few comfortable sofa's. Elevators are available for those who need them but there are stairs as well. God, I love libraries. You know how some women walk into shoe stores and can't control themselves…read morewith shoes? I'm that way with books. This summer, there's been soooo many titles I've wanted to read. I find myself walking out of this branch with 4-6 books at every visit. I frequent various Cuyahoga County Public Library branches often. When it comes to Solon, I particularly love how quick their request-a-book is. In case you didn't know, you can log directly onto their website and put a hold on a book. If they don't have it, you can still request it from a different branch and have it sent to Solon. Boom, they'll email you when its ready, and you can pop in and pick it up from a shelf, where it will wait with your name on it. Between retrieval and self-check out, you only have to spend 2 minutes weaving through all the children (thank god). Towards the front of the library, they have a well-stocked selection of fiction titles ranging from drama, to biography, to chick lit, to mystery. They're also great about adding little stickers that say "New in June" and labeling the release of recent popular titles. I'm a frequent GoodReads user and Amazon browser, and 8 times out of 10, I can usually find what I'm looking for on these shelves. When was the last time you read something great? Love the play away books and they have a terrific selection that just gets better every time we visit. This library is always busy but still quiet. The other patrons are respectful and the staff is friendly. Love it here and always look forward to visiting. Only two issues, they are not open friday nights (so you can't pick up some last minute movies to watch that night) and people in this parking lot are terrible, terribly drivers (just park way out on the fringes and you'll be fine).

We took advantage of the annual walk on the lower level of the Veterans Memorial Bridge. We did…read morehave to park and walk a little way because the area was so busy. The walk is free and you have to sign a waiver before entering. They made it very easy with staff waiting to help you near the entrance. Dogs are allowed in the walk. They positioned bands at each end of the bridge and one in the middle. There was also a medical station in the event of an emergency. The experience was unique to me. Views of the river were somewhat obstructed by much of the bridge. The walk was down the middle portion so there was no getting close to the edge. This was clearly for safety reasons. I am happy we were able to walk the bridge this year.

ANNUAL TOUR -- I and plenty of residents and visitors got lucky to see what lies beneath the bridge for the annual self-guided bridge tour and lights show (see my attached photos). This free event was part of a series of events around Cleveland that honours the 50th anniversary of the Cuyahoga River catching on fire. On Saturday, 22 June 2019, the Cuyahoga County's Public Works Department department hosted a tour of the Veteran's Memorial Bridge and Subway station. The bridge tour was awesome. The lower deck (dark, abandoned tunnel), is the part of the bridge I got to tour and that's the part that was open for viewing. According to an online source, this part of the bridge has not been used since 1954 when streetcars were discontinued and it is rarely shown to the public. LIGHTS SHOW -- It was amazing!!! I arrived around 9:30pm. There was one section of the bridge where lights moved around in a pattern on the floor and another section where there were string lights hung up. All the lights had different colours. The whole lights display was fantastic and there was music playing too (see my attached photos). The organization of the event was great and police officers were around to keep everyone safe. I read the details online and signed my waiver beforehand. So when I arrived, I didn't have to wait to sign a waiver. Also, there really was no line to enter the bridge. I had about 2 people in front of me when I arrived. Once I got inside the bridge, it was crowded but not horribly so because people came in and out. I really enjoyed this unique opportunity to view the inside of the bridge (below the car level). My favourite part besides the lights show was seeing the old streetcars that were stationed inside; they looked like subway trains. I also loved the downtown Cleveland view of the Flats neighbourhood from the bridge especially the sunset. I recommend the bridge tour to anyone visiting Cleveland during the summer and also to Cleveland residents. I love the fact that I can request any book in the Willoughby Eastlake library system and when it arrives at this library for pickup, I get a notification call. Everyone who works here is extremely helpful whether it's locating a book within the library or putting a hold/request on an item they are great and always do it with a smile. And when you desire the convenience of having a book with you all the time, they have many titles available for digital download via their website which are loaned to you for 3 weeks. So "book it" to this library to see what it's all about!

Like I said, I knew they had a kids "SECTION" and i know kids are rowdy but they don't stay their in their section and the parents act like it's an amusement park. They run and roam, and scream throughout. -100/10 DO NOT RECOMMEND unless you having your kids need to get their screams out. Then this circus is the place to be.
