I dropped by this afternoon to pick up and return books (so very convenient to pre-order and pickup). The library has two floors. The first floor has checkout desks and some book collections. Notable parts of the first floor are Meeting Rooms, printers, Large Print Books, and passport services (the latter super convenient). The second floor has additional book collections, reference desk, some meeting rooms, computer lab, and book shop. The book shop has cool sales every months with $5 fill the bag specials. Collections at the library are very versatile, you can find all kinds of books. The library hosts a lot of events that are accessible for booking on the library's website. The library also has onsite herb garden, which is pretty amazing. It's a wonderful space for the community. Parking is located in the back of the library with ample amount of space available. At the front there's a connecting pedestrian bridge to another parking lot. I highly recommend a visit, it's a very serene location!

They rotate the books throughout the seasons so there is always something available and interesting for children. They have a great adult section which has a wide variety of books, magazines, computers and sitting area. They can quickly order any other book you might want to order from the larger branch. This branch has a convent book drop and pick up area. Since it's during COVID there outdoor picnic area is available if you want to hang out side. The parking lot has a few pot holes so watch out. This is a review of the Beachwood city branch, a small yet nicely remodeled facility. There are great nonfiction and children's sections; however, the fiction selection is a bit lacking. The Saul Eisen Reading Garden offers a tranquil, secluded reading space. For research projects, one might be better served at the Mayfield and South Euclid city branches (the latter is set in an exquisite old local castle-esque building). All of the branches -- east and west -- afford the opportunity to find a quiet place to get lost in a great piece of literature and/or media. Grade: A

Starbucks gets too rowdy after about 8:30 AM, and as a transplant I was at a loss as to where I should go to study. A friend suggested this branch of the Cuyahoga County Public Library. I can't vouch for the selection of books or the services they offer, but as a quiet study environment, this place is great! There are plenty of plugs for your computer (yay!) at each work station, so you don't have to bring an extension cord or awkwardly drape anything over your neighbor just for a hookup. My only beef was that the quiet cubbies were along the perimeter of the main room, which meant that it did get a little louder as the day went on. In any case, it beats the 'bucks, and helped me get my morning off to a productive start!

This summer, there's been soooo many titles I've wanted to read. I find myself walking out of this branch with 4-6 books at every visit. I frequent various Cuyahoga County Public Library branches often. When it comes to Solon, I particularly love how quick their request-a-book is. In case you didn't know, you can log directly onto their website and put a hold on a book. If they don't have it, you can still request it from a different branch and have it sent to Solon. Boom, they'll email you when its ready, and you can pop in and pick it up from a shelf, where it will wait with your name on it. Between retrieval and self-check out, you only have to spend 2 minutes weaving through all the children (thank god). Towards the front of the library, they have a well-stocked selection of fiction titles ranging from drama, to biography, to chick lit, to mystery. They're also great about adding little stickers that say "New in June" and labeling the release of recent popular titles. I'm a frequent GoodReads user and Amazon browser, and 8 times out of 10, I can usually find what I'm looking for on these shelves. When was the last time you read something great? Love the play away books and they have a terrific selection that just gets better every time we visit. This library is always busy but still quiet. The other patrons are respectful and the staff is friendly. Love it here and always look forward to visiting. Only two issues, they are not open friday nights (so you can't pick up some last minute movies to watch that night) and people in this parking lot are terrible, terribly drivers (just park way out on the fringes and you'll be fine).

I asked the info librarians who sit at a station in the middle of the room about it. You don't have to bring any puzzles, or like me, I brought seven puzzles and took seven home. There are puzzles for all ages, tho mostly adult type puzzles. Kids puzzle are welcomed. I enjoyed looking at all of them and chatting with a few people doing the same.

Also, when I am yelled at by a black patron for supposedly taking the page that they printed off of the printer (when I did no such thing and have gotten into the habit of offering right away the pages up to them the security just stares and does nothing even when I ask them to stop the problem) the staff does nothing! They are definitely prejudiced at the Fenwick Library and prefer black patrons over Caucasians. And, actually I am not Caucasian. It is presumed incorrectly there.
