Pork in Sweet Sour Pork Rib w/ Plum
    Michelle O.

I got their pork ribs with plum sauce ($16) entree to-go. I enjoyed the dish - sauce was generous, and have a sweet-sour balance. The ribs was tender and pairs well with I believe dried apricots. It's good but also did not blow me away. But to be fair, this was also the first and only dish I ever ordered from here, so there may be better things on the menu. They have selection of American-Chinese food and authentic Chinese food. Prices for the authentic menu is generally about $4-5 higher than the American-Chinese food, which is a bummer. Most of the authentic meat-based entree will run you at least $20. I think this is generally the case across Chinese restaurants in the area. I might be back if I'm in the area and there are deals.

Ordered takeout: Every thing was quite bland and a bit overpriced. Good for people who are in a low sodium diet, but love to add a lot of soy sauce to their food. Just keeping real.

Take out from Keming has never let me down and the more times I order and more things I try, the more I love. I do have to say, they have INCREDIBLE soup dumplings. Like, some of the best that I've had. They are giant, actually are filled with soup and the broth is pretty delicious. Besides the incredible soup dumplings, I can vouch for everything else on the menu too. Some other favorites have to be the fried rice, chicken and broccoli and lo mein. All so delicious all giant portions. Pick up and delivery have always been quick. I definitely plan to stop in and eat in person one of these days. If you are looking for a great Chinese food spot in Hoboken (or just around Hoboken), I couldn't recommend Keming enough.

Soup dumpling and sesame chicken over rice

I rarely order Chinese food but I decided on takeout from Keming since so many local food bloggers posts pics from it. After scrolling through yelp reviews, I decided on the soup dumplings, spicy wontons, sesame chicken and chicken in garlic sauce. Ordered over the phone and pick-up was ready quickly in 15 minutes. Everything was still hot when we brought it home. Soup dumplings - okay; get 6 dumplings in an order Spicy wontons - tasty and spicy; have a good kick Sesame chicken - standard meal Chicken in garlic sauce - tasty; also has a good amount of kick to it The food was good and traditional takeout portions. I did have a little bit of sticker shock though when I got the check - the total order was $51. I didn't remember Chinese takeout being that expensive. For that price, I'd probably opt to order a different type of food.

    General tso's chicken - it's mostly batter

Haven't dined in since pre-Covid and have only ordered hot and sour soup and soup dumplings for pick up since. Dined in for the first time on a Saturday afternoon (April 2022). I appreciate that they have lunch specials on the weekends but the portions are also pretty small. Plus, it just comes with a side of rice. I also keep forgetting NOT to order the General Tso's chicken. More than half of it is just fried batter. We got the shrimp and broccoli but the shrimp had an old weird taste to it. The beef and string beans are not bad but a bit salty. I think from now on, I'll just stick to their hot and sour soup, fried dumplings, and soup dumplings.

    Fish and tofu hot pot.

We really liked the fish and tofu hot pot but it was quite pricey at $19.99 for a small portion. No regrets though because it was the best thing we ate in the restaurant. We also had the braised sweet and sour pork ribs. It was too sweet and the meat was definitely not cooked yesterday or today but maybe 6-7 days ago. The texture is the same when the meat is not at its freshest when cooked or when it has been in the refrigerator for more than five days (or much longer in the freezer when thawed). The shrimp fried rice had five pieces of shrimp and tasted like any other fried rice anywhere including the home kitchen. The service was superb. The host/waiter was very helpful, hospitable, and polite. Five stars for him.

I had a really great time at Keming! We came by for dinner on a Sunday night and got a bunch of dishes (including cold sesame noodles, beef and onion, and cauliflower). The cauliflower was a bit salty, but otherwise all the dishes really hit the spot. The food came out very quickly and the service was wonderful. Keming also has nice outdoor seating, with ~2 tables right by the front on the sidewalk, and around ~4 tables on a wooden platform on the street.

Overpriced. Our general Tao chicken was more dough or breading than actual chicken & for the price it just wasn't worth it

Woman who took order was very nice. Food was very good and slightly healthier than typical Americanized Chinese places. Lunch specials to 3pm were good price and big portion. Was pleasantly surprised based on the mixed reviews. Had the egg roll, wonton soup, sweet & sour chicken and spicy garlic tofu (very tasty, bit spicy). Fried rice and brown rice were fresh and very good too. Very clean. Later tried the combo specials which were equally good at a good price. They don't skimp on the ingredients, plenty of meat, etc. Sad to see them go as only recently discovered them.

When the Lunchbox Mafia (a "cute" description by a former co-worker of how our "team" at work tended to pay more attention to what we were ordering than what we were working on) formerly existed in Hoboken, Lo Fatt Chow was our go-to Chinese restaurant for several years. The prices were reasonable, the food was always fresh and plentiful, and tasty. At some point, the (old) Godfather of Lunch and I decided that we needed to stop ordering take-out and start dieting. Hopefully shed some pounds, save some money, add a few more minutes to our allotted life span, and...oh yeah...focus more attentively on that which earned us the "big money" we use to order take-out so frequently. Not that Lo Fatt Chow cuisine was unhealthy-- quite the opposite, in fact. But we made the decision across the board to drastically reduce our tendency to order take-out. So... bottom line is that it has been a long time since we ordered anything, whether it's Lo Fatt Chow or Fiore's or Mr. Wraps. Just this past weekend, though, seemingly out of the blue, the Godfather said, "Wanna order?" I held steadfastly to my principles for all of 2 seconds before saying, "What?" "How about Lo Fatt Chow?" I was in. As I went on-line to check out the menu, I noticed before clicking onto the website a column by someone known as "Hoboken Girl," indicating that Lo Fatt Chow was going to close, and close in a matter of days. The Godfather (Chuck) and I were horrified. We called and were able to place an order but learned that...yes...in just a few days they were going to close. They were going to open restaurants in Tenafly and Morris Plains, but that didn't help us in Hoboken. Chuck commented to the person on the phone how much we had liked them over the years and how much we were going to miss them. We will. My "last meal" with them was Wonton Soup with hot mustard, Sesame Chicken, and vegetable-fried rice, finished off with a fortune cookie that offered a blandly upbeat platitude (I've often thought that to make fortune cookies REALLY interesting, they should occasionally slip in a fortune reading, "You have just 2 hours to live. Cherish those hours." Then again, maybe not.) Chuck was right. Good luck to them in their new endeavors, but, in Hoboken, they will definitely be missed.

The dishes are very unique in cultural sourcing - it's not what you expect of a regular Chinese restaurant. The servings are HUGE and good for 2 servings. The ambiance is not that great even though there's a big space and there was a lot of junk sitting around the place like extra stock of drinks and boxes all over the place. I don't think people really eat-in here. When I did takeout, it was still not worth the price of other similar restaurants in the area. Also this place doesn't have combinations sold together -- you have to buy rice on the side for EVERY dish which is not a traditional way to serve each dish in general. The prices here are not worth trying it - way overpriced and overcharged! Should be more affordable since we do not get the rice with the combination plates.
