Conveniently located within an hour or so of Escanaba, Munising, Marquette and other day trips in the U.P. Michael was great at recommending a route for our fall color drive, too! We rented the kitchenette, with two adjoining rooms. A really great price. Kitchen was well stocked with cooking utensils, pots and pans, and coffee was provided. Full size refrigerator was a plus. New carpeting and bedding - and very clean throughout. Small bathroom was clean and newly finished. Small patio sitting area outside the room was very cute. TVs in both bedrooms with cable. Dining area in kitchen for eating in, which we did take advantage of. Behind the motel is a large wooded area where we took our dog for morning walks. Very dog friendly. Michael was great at providing extra towels, paper towels and other items upon request. This is a great local motel and I highly recommend it! The owners obviously take great care in maintaining this little retro gem in the U.P.

Amenities were plentiful - TP, paper towel, coffee, tea, hot chocolate, dish soap, everything you think to bring, they already have there. We did leave the supplies we had brought up with us, but it was nice to have everything there in case you forgot something. Loved the coffee bar area and all the drinkware. Loved the surround sound system. Loved having a bonfire in the backyard. Sauna came in handy. Plenty of parking for all our trucks and trailers (8 trucks, three 2-place trailers, and four BIG trailers) The kitchen was great with two fridges, two microwaves, two crock pots, two toasters, and massive space! Bathrooms were very nice with separate shower room and two stalls & two sinks in main restroom area. Loved this place! Highly recommended for a group of snowmobilers.

we are truly disappointed to have to leave a bad review we had such a great time in the u.p. and it…read morewas nice to use the cabin as a warm spot to sleep. first we were woken up at 3am to what I would assume I'd thier water heater making the loudest most alarming noise. this water heater is in the closet of the bedroom you sleep in 2 feet from the top of the bed. I think now it's the cleaning schedule they have for it Maybe to run in the middle of the night while you have renters. then the day we leave after going through thier check out list multiple times which is to basically clean the house for the house keepers so they dont have to pay them. they message us stating there was a dog there and we now owe them more money. I have picture, gps, and video proof all my animals were at home being cared for. if there was any dog hair from us it fell of our clothes and was absolutely minimal. we have huskies and st Bernard's they shed alot even with fresh cleaned clothes there is a small amount of hair on my clothes and we were there for a week. it is entirely possible a few dog hairs fell off our clothes but not nearly as much as my own post partum hair I bet. if you have animals I don't suggest staying with them or they will attempt to charge you more if they find a dog hair.

Having camped in rustic campgrounds for nearly 30 years, we were shocked with the amount of noise that we experienced. Thoughout the day and into the night there were generators running, barking dogs, and stereos playing with excess bass. A large family group of 50 or so, with 11 of the 41 sites, used a site in the middle of the campground as their congregating place, being loud with music and voices well past the 10:00 quiet hours (ranging from 11-12:30) and needed to be asked to be quiet three of the four nights that we were there.
