Had a prepurchase inspection done by them. They didn't take any photos of issues, including cosmetic ones, though I had asked them to. And didn't perform OBD2 code scan, which is kind of incredible. Frustrating, and makes me wonder about the completeness of the rest of the inspection. Cheap though, I'll give them that. read more

Took in our car to swap out our engine. Our engine took a dump. We noticed something was off with our driver's mirror. They must have broken it and swapped it out for a cheap after market one. It did not have the "objects in mirror may appear closer.....". We ignored it and the mirror just came off mid drive on the freeway. It was a cheap one that was not even appropriate for the car. No integrity in something so small, so I would never trust them ever again. First and last time doing business with them. I'd be weary in taking in your vehicle to this shop. This must have been done by a shop employee without notifying the owner. The owner seemed honest when we talked to him the first time, but now I don't know. read more

I've been taking my Hondas/Acuras for well over 20 years... Since Kane was there. I've since passed on those cars to my sister and other family members. They still take those vehicles to Ken & Ed's because of the trust we have in them. I've honestly never had a problem with them. They always receive us with a smile and great service. Prices are very good compared to going to the dealer. I think the most expensive thing I've ever had to pay for were new struts on the 2015 Acura ILX. These guys are awesome. They are most knowledgeable about Hondas and Acuras. I have a 1986 Honda CRX that has an Acura Integra motor swapped in it. The car had several problems, which Ken & Ed's sailed through with no issues. One of my problems was that the AC was not blowing cold air. Just a little background. I had bought this car back in 2012, the AC was not blowing cold. I had my mechanic at that time (who is going to remain nameless) look into it. At that time all the AC parts were replaced and converted to the new coolant (R134A). However air never blew cold. I have taken the car to a couple of other shops, and to make a long story short, air never blew cold. Well, I had Ken & Ed's look at the AC problem, and WOW. I can now say that I can't believe my car is capable of blowing air this cold! It works amazing now!! Thanks a million Ken & Ed's. You have a new customer for life. read more

So I've learn a thing or too over the years. Their timing with fixing cars is good they will tell you how long the car will be in the shop if you need that. This is an excellent auto repair shop. The owner is a Honda master tech. They're honest and will recommend just the right repair for your vehicle. I recently bought another vehicle but still take my Honda Accord 2002 for repairs. I replaced a transmission at 140k, starter, and recently redid the timing belt and seals with water pump. I will replace my power steering pump soon. Cheap if you do these things right away and avoid a car payment of 5 yrs; and definitely cheaper than the dealer price. I keep going back for several reasons: -I always find out as much as possible over what the issues may be, cost, parts, etc, so that when I go, I am prepared to make the right decision. -they do the job right the first time. -in the event that a part doesn't work out, they will replace it quickly. -they use oem as much as possible, which in my opinion is the way to go; but will also replace with after market where appropriate. -great techs and he staff is courteous and knowledgeable. Now they are not the cheapest, but they are not expensive either, very reasonable; consider how much a botched job can cost you and you see why it's a good value to go with them. WAYYYYY to OVER PRICED, especially for it being in EAST LA...I understand if we're in Beverly Hills, but c'mon in EAST LA. Look at other Auto Shop's before going to Ken & Ed's. They are simply a RIPP OFF.. I went to change my radiator & he quoted me $320. The actual part is only 90 dollars. So this means the Auto Shop made $230 in labor profit. Its RIDICULOUS. read more
