Was quoted $750 for a transmission oil change. I thought that was fine given the quotes I had already received that ranged from $800-$900. I drop my car off, I Uber home and get a text that my new quote is $1,500. What?? Called 3 other shops that offer the same service with BMW experience. I told them all the parts I was told were going to be purchased and installed and they were all confused as to how $1,500 was the outcome. A's acknowledged they made a "mistake" in quoting $750 but sounds like they were trying to pull a fast one and make more money. Now I've lost $40 from Uber for no reason. Sketchy shop. Man if anyone need some good and honest work done on their F80s try Alvin's Garage in L.A man. Just came back from there and this dude is mad honest and knows what he's talking about, 10 mins later I found out he drives a black F80 M3 and over 650HP and used to work at a BMW dlrship, that is always a plus knowing your mechanic drives the same car. My warranty expired and I needed a shop that I can go and do some maintenance work, but trust they know what they are doing and not just anyone that had worked on some lower BMW models. I am mad anal with my f80 m3 and last thing I want is someone that calls themselves professional and break screws and parts trying to take apart your baby lol. Tired of my last mechanic always with these "ifs, but or what if excuses ..." get that shit done right or close the shop. Brought car in to check on a noise. Prior to coming in, I spoke with the owner and he seemed cool. It was also clear he was a car enthusiast which always makes me feel better. The issue started when the mechanic took a test drive and while pulling out I heard him hit the berm/ramp pretty hard. When he returned I saw the front lip was cracked and the screw holding the center of the lip was ripped off. Upon closer inspection the screw was missing along with the clips. A bit in disbelief I stood there wondering if somehow that happened on my way there except at that moment I remembered I was talking with the owner (when I first got there) while standing in front of the car about how it looks good but it's too low. Long story short I wish they came clean instead of trying to cover it up. Went in to check on a noise and came out with a cracked lip. read more

I don't normally leave reviews, but Alvin, his son and their business deserve recognition for their superb work, professionalism, and exceptional customer service. I showed up at their garage up needing help with getting my car ready for smog. I had driven 700 miles and still could not get my oxygen sensor "ready." Alvin was friendly and kind. He hooked up his OBII reader and walked me through what he does to get his mini's ready for smog. There was no expectation I would give him any business. He had the opportunity to suggest replacing the sensor, but didn't. It was the right call. After completing his drive cycle. It turned out I had a coolant leak. So of course I went back to Alvin because he was so kind. They took care of it, explained to me in detail what needed to be done how much it cost.
