All fruit is $1.99/lb and veges vary in price. I also appreciate that service is consistently friendly and helpful. Area is always clean and organized. A bonus is the fruit washing station! There are also picnic tables and corn hole games. However, during our visit, the selection was very sparse. There were oranges, 1/4 basket of tomatoes, 4 cucumbers, and a handful of avocados. There were also a few packages of dried fruits and nuts. The guy working there didn't speak English, but he was really nice and friendly. He gave us some oranges to try and they were sweet and delicious. The tomatoes we bought from there were delicious as well. It had that homegrown taste and was very flavorful.

I am assuming you think it's incomprehensible. It was 100 degree plus weather in August! Based on a tip from another local fruit grower, we weaved zig zag through country roads lined with fruit orchards and occasional farm houses. GPS was our guide. And then we saw it. A dusty driveway. A modest home. A small, unmanned fruit stand shaded by a bright red pop-up. A table set up with wooden crates filled with plump, freshly picked peaches, nectarines, and plums, labeled with homemade signs. A stack of brown paper bags, just big enough to hold maybe 6 peaches, each the size of your fist. And a crusty, homemade lock box with a slot on top. In the background was a packing house and an orchard. This is a DIY operation. You don't get to pre-taste their offerings, but you do get to "cherry pick". And what you do get are beautiful, tree ripened stone fruit at prices that are far better than most. You are on the honor system here, so if you are seduced by the siren call for peak season, fresh fruit, be considerate. Pop the correct number of bills in the slot before you walk away. You will be rewarded. And you will look forward to the next time, doing the exact same thing.

Took my time trying to get cute pictures. Soo helped just standing by the fence as the goats really liked him. Walking towards the stand I noticed the rows of striking flowers and tomatoes. Inside it was air conditioned on a hot May day. The paintings of the sunflowers really caught my eye, beautiful. They sell a variety of things including: honey, nuts, local produce and souvenirs. I enjoyed the sunflower honey. Great place to stop on your way to Kings Canyon National Park or Cat Haven. If I lived in the area I'd make a habit to stop by on a regular basis.

I stopped by the Sun- Maid Market with my husband this past Monday afternoon, a little before 2 pm…read more We have always wanted to come here for a visit but have always driven past this area on previous road trips well after closing. But luckily we were able to visit finally. When we entered, we were greeted by an employee behind the counter. As we browsed through the store, eventually another employee manned the cash register. This employee had told us that they currently have some specials going on, which included some of their yogurt covered flavored raisins $3, in addition to the dark chocolate covered raisins bag for $3 (funny enough, I already had that bag in my hand, planning on purchasing when she said that). I ended up purchasing: Dark chocolate covered raisins- As I have gotten older, I have grown to appreciate the flavor of dark chocolate (before I really only liked milk chocolate and semi- sweet chocolate). But I actually have not tried this yet but getting this at $3 (prior to tax) is a steal. Vanilla yogurt dipped covered raisins- This container was also only $3. My husband and I really liked the raisins and actually made a snack mix of this with added nuts and edamame that I brought with us on our road trip. The added sweetness from these yogurt dipped raisins was very nice. Strawberry yogurt dipped covered raisins- Also got this container for $3 and did the same thing with the vanilla yogurt dipped covered raisins and added it to another snack mix with nuts and edamame. I actually liked the strawberry yogurt dipped covered raisins a little more than the vanilla yogurt dipped ones. Mini vanilla yogurt dipped covered raisins, box of 10 individual bags- My husband thought this would be good to have some ready to grab yogurt dipped raisins to have on hand for our road trip. The taste just like the other vanilla yogurt dipped covered raisins but just in a smaller portion. ------------------------------- (Total= $13.61 after tax and current special) After I paid and was offered to have my items placed on a bag, I was asked by an employee if I wanted a poster map. I said sure. If you like all things raisins, then this is a nice little store to visit. They also sell nuts and dried fruit (apricots and figs for example). They also sell Sun-Maid shirts and other memorabilia. Customer service was friendly and I would come back the next time I pass by (as long as it is during their operating hours). Please note that there are no restrooms here but around the corner is the visitor center. However during our visit, the visitor center was closed. But you can see the world's largest box of raisins around the corner and also a large mural cut out of the famous Sun-Maid mascot.
