Classic Fence

We bought our house a year ago, and when we moved in there was a four foot tall arch style, space…read morepicket fence. I wasn't a fan of the arch style. I would have rather had a nice finished, flat top, but we kept the fence, because it was fine and did its job. In that year, our dog grew from puppyhood to adulthood, and while the fence was fine when we moved in, it wasn't fine a year later, when the now adult dog could jump over it. We got a second dog as well, and to add to the complications, she could get under the fence. It was time to have it replaced. After three estimates, we settled on Classic, even though it wasn't the cheapest of the three. They were the friendliest, the most professional (believe me when I tell you they were the most professional - a guy from one of the other companies showed up drunk and yelled in my front yard), and they were very prompt. We didn't want privacy, because our children like to talk to their friends through the fence when they are playing in the backyard; they like to see what's going on. We settled on five foot, space picket, and I finally got my pretty finished top. They moved it back to sit on the actual property line. The original was over a foot off. It was also crooked, and they fixed that, as well. They were aware that it needed to be installed pretty much flush with the ground, because we had a small dog that could get under. The classic crew was fast (it took two days), efficient, friendly, and they didn't leave a single bit of mess behind. We had one small issue (a gap behind the air conditioner that actually let the small dog out). When I called, Lynne was courteous and concerned. The first thing she asked was if we got our dog back. They showed up to fix it two days after we called. As always, the men who showed up were friendly and helpful, and less than five minutes later, the gap was fixed with a board measured and cut to fit, looking like it had been there all along. I am very pleased with our new fence. Every time I pull up, it makes me smile. Thank you Classic!

Lack of Customer Loyalty I have lived in my house for over…read more40 years, and Classic Fence installed the original fence and also several replacements. When I recently called to have a single post replaced, I got crickets from the company. I guess it's too small of a job. I expected better after being a loyal customer for 40 years. Very Disappointing. I will not use again.

If you are looking for a reputable fence company that will stand behind their work and is honest…read moreand professional- THIS IS NOT THE PLACE. Ever since installation there have been multiple issues with the owner of this company, Shawn Bosi. We had a fence and drive-gate with posts installed last May 2017. We had requested the gate to have two even sides and arches and to close in the middle. What we received was two uneven gates in length and arches that were nowhere even. I then contacted the owner Shawn and he advised that one gate was made wider so one side could be left closed and a car could be driven through. This excuse was laughable as i sent him pictures of a car trying to fit through the space with the one side closed. We finally just agreed to have him to redo the arches. We moved on from the rest and called it a day. However back a year ago, I still would have never recommended him. He WILL NOT CALL YOU, this guy only texts people. And when you raise a concern after installation, he gets so defensive i cannot stress enough how unprofessional this man is. I am more than reasonable and told him i just wanted to get some clarification on what he was able to do. NOONE IS ABLE to get this from text messages. If you respect your customers and want repeat business pick up the phone and call them like a grown man. Forward one year and our drive-gate has literally fallen apart, the posts have cracked and the bolts on the gates have stripped from the posts. This has caused the gates to completely fall off the posts. The latches they used also deteriorated within the first 8 months causing my father and I to have to replace them. I had the work looked at by industry professionals and they stated the gate did not have proper support or structure. They state on their website and paperwork to honor a "5 year warranty". I have reached multiple times to get it repaired. I received a phone call once miraculously but it went to voicemail. I was advised on 04/26 his foreman would be out to repair. No-one ever showed or bothered to update me or my wife who was at home waiting. I then called to inquire with no response. Randomly days later he responds saying his ONE foreman is out on personal leave and should be out early next week. I politely ask if could give a ball-park day as my wife is home with our new born baby and dogs and we rely on the gate for our dogs. He AGAIN never responds. Today he texts me something random saying "they don't have wheels in stock for my gate but they can order them and it would $125.00, and that his foreman should be by later to look at it". This guy honestly has no idea what he does one minute from the next as I have the original voicemail from him saying "he knows we tried wheels with the gate so if that didn't work they can try to reinforce part of the posts". Why is he trying to charge me for a warranty repair? I firmly texted him back saying I am simply asking for the warranty to be honored and would like the gate repaired. I said i didn't understand why he could not call me to discuss this as i am just looking for updates and need actual answers. He then calls me and honestly starts to lecture me that "if i read the contract it says service is 3-4 weeks" and the continues to say "I don't understand as he has 300 K in bids". I told him i don't know anything as he doesn't bother to call his customers and clearly doesn't think its important to make sure a customer feels valued. Yelling he told me i can fix everything on my own and hung up. Response to owner: This is hilarious as I contacted him to see if I could pay to have one cedar plank replaced as it was chipped and now he tries to use it as an excuse for his poor workmanship. To add, it is funny he would mention this as he never even responded when I contacted him, sound like a pattern? Also Sean, No, I did not text you 50 times. I rather call someone to explain an issue so it is clearly communicated. But when the owner of a company only deals by text, I will try to be flexible. If you take the time to read other reviews about your company on google and yelp- others are in agreement that your communication skills are strange and clearly lacking. And last, you did not repair the gate in 7 days. You went on my property the same day you hung up on me and put the gate up without my knowledge. I highly suggest you invest in this new technology called a "Level", as I will be taking down your beyond crooked attempted repair. You honestly are the most difficult and dishonest business I have ever dealt with. You have no clue how to respect a customer and repeatedly tried to make it seem like you were doing me a favor. I actually did you a huge favor by paying more than $3500.00 for a service and product that has not lasted more than a year and the business has no integrity to stand behind it. I should have trusted my gut when you pulled up to my house in your Bright Yellow Hummer.

They pulled out about 100 lbs of concrete that was buried in the ground where they had to dig new post holes (it wasn't even concrete from the old fence as the previous homeowner used a contractor that just buried the posts in the first). Luis and his guys were nice enough to install some chicken wire I had purchased to keep varmints out (raccoons/skunks) from under our deck. It could only be done with the fence removed. He didn't charge me anything extra. The fence was done in a few hours, and it's solid. It's a beautiful fence. My only issue was that the concrete was mixed in the fence holes, as opposed to in a bucket first and then poured in. I'm assuming the mix was thoroughly done. It feels solid enough. The gate latches beautifully, and the tolerances are very tight. They did a great job!
