I've only seen Becky once when Dr Barb was unavailable and my experience was good with her. Dr Barb was my dad's physician and went above and beyond for him especially the week he passed. I cannot say enough good things about her and how much she helped him and us near the end of his life.

She was a little too comfortable with her hands touching and overstepping limits when it comes to positioning breasts on the mammogram machine. She was like an octopus. I understand that a mammogram requires some physical contact, but she was way too close for comfort and her way of grabbing breasts was more like stroking then positioning on the machine. This definitely was sexual misconduct and is unacceptable and excessive. I have had plenty of mammograms and have never experienced this type of behavior which is inappropriate.

We felt welcomed from the moment we stepped through the doors. Excellent COVID safety precautions are in place and this facility is super clean. We were brought back exactly at our appointment time- no waiting at all! Dr. Gil is just the nicest doctor I think I've ever met! She asked my dad questions and truly listened to his responses. She was so patient as he explained his symptoms and his worries. Her exam was very thorough and she explained everything to both of us in detail. Her explanations were so helpful and appreciated! I think she spent half an hour with my dad, which is amazing and almost unheard of in a busy hospital! She never rushed him and she made sure to answer every question and even chit chat a bit, which he loved, as he's been carefully quarantined and missing social interaction. This is our second time as a family being cared for by Dr. Gil as she looked after my mother 10 years ago when my mom was treated successfully for stage 3 colon cancer. My mom celebrated her 10 year cancerversary recently and we raised a glass to Dr. Gi!! We highly recommend Dr. Gil!!!

I value the apology and assistance they provided to enhance our experience. I am very disappointed with Darien Immediate Care. I took my son there due to a shoulder injury and he was taken in for an X-Ray. PA Erin Berman read his x-ray and misdiagnosed him having a broken collarbone and dislocated shoulder and informed us to go to the ER ASAP. When the ER doctor read these same x-rays, I was informed that only my son's collarbone was broken, but his shoulder was not dislocated. However, the ER doctor nevertheless was required to take additional x-rays at this point to confirm the diagnosis that the shoulder was not, in fact, dislocated. Therefore, my son did not need to be rushed to the ER and could've received urgent care for his collarbone with a follow up with an orthopedic doctor. As a result, in addition to what this facility billed us, we incurred additional fees and costs for the ER visit and additional x-rays, and spent additional time agonizing over the injury. Therefore, I requested to speak with the office manager regarding my billing, who promised to call me but never did. When I spoke to the billing department, they refused to transfer me to the office manager or share contact information and refused to adjust my bill in any way. While I have no issue paying for medical services, I do have an issue incurring unnecessary additional fees and costs due to the misdiagnosis. If my son was diagnosed properly in this facility, we wouldn't have had to go the ER and he would walked away with a sling, which is the recommended treatment for a broken collarbone. This is also my second negative experience with this facility. During a prior visit, we saw PA Anum Haq who diagnosed my son with an ear infection; however, PA Anum Haq then failed to timely send the required prescription to the pharmacy, which delayed my son's healing and caused him more pain. I will never go to this facility again, and will share my experience where possible so that other families do not have to incur unnecessary additional expenses when money is already tightly budgeted for most.

I saw Dr. Thakadiyil who is an outstanding provider and after thoroughly examining me, she ordered COVID, flu and RSV tests which have come back negative. Having been here before, she knew my medical history and prescribed inhalers for me and ordered a nebulizer treatment. I left feeling much relieved that I had been examined and had a plan to help. Melissa, the medical assistant, was thorough with her vital checks and made sure I had my printed out summary of care when I left. Great place to go when not feeling well.
