Today, we decided to bite the bullet and head out to stores that claimed to carry Speed Queen. Best Buy lists them on their website but have none in inventory. You'd have to order them and wait for delivery -- one to 2 months. Same with Home Depot. But, Ken and Kerrie's had a set in stock -- they were actually less expensive since they didn't charge for hauling away the old set and included hook-ups. But best of all -- they delivered the set to our home three hours after we swiped the credit card. Tonya handled the transaction and was so pleasant and extremely helpful. She warned us that the Fruitland Park stored doesn't service the machines but -- that's no difference from Big Box stores. We bought a washing machine and dryer, had it delivered and installed and I'm already on my third load of wash -- all in less than seven hours. As a sidenote, the last time we ordered an appliance from Lowe's, the company set up a delivery date -- and did not deliver -- THREE times over the course of two weeks. Our experience with Ken and Kerrie's (and Tonya along with the pleasant deliverymen) is ... pinch us... we can't believe what a smooth transaction this was!

It has lasted a couple months and now it isn't working right. It keeps spinning. When I spoke with the owner she told me to contact Speed Queen directly. They don't answer the phone. I went to their website and searched for local places to repair this machine since it's under warantee. Only one place will service our area and they can't come out for almost 2 weeks. Their driver/repair person only comes to our area every so often. I just called the store asking for help and spoke with someone who was very rude. It wasn't the owner. She told me to contact Speed Queen even though I told her nobody is there to help. She is unwilling to help me. They made their money on this sale and don't care about helping me now.

Long story short... I sent my tractor to Crystal to inspect my rotary cutter and PTO after a little…read more"accident" that I had while cutting my pasture. While it was in the shop, one of the technicians noticed that it still had the factory installed filters on it, and I was asked if I wanted the 50 hour service performed. The only problem? The tractor had been in about six months ago for that service. After some detective work, Jeff, the service manager got back to me and admitted that the tractor had somehow been sent back to me without the service being performed. Brian, the store manager, also called and spoke with me, taking full ownership of the mistake and informing me that in order to make amends there would be no charge for the rotary cutter service or the tractor transport fee. The 50 hour service would also be expedited and the tractor would be returned to me the following day. Mistakes happen, but for the folks at Crystal to step up, take responsibility and fix the problem is a refreshing departure from other experiences that I have had in similar situations. Kudos to the staff at Crystal, they have definitely earned my continuing loyalty.

Came out to fix my 3 year old Whirlpool washer. Played around with the controls, and told me there…read moreis something wrong. They told me it needs a new control board, and they looked up the price. $250 for the board. Gives me a quote for $582 to repair the washer. $332 labor charge??? Then tells me I have to pay him $140 for the service call. Worst part is, it wasn't the control board, it was a small hole in the pressure tube, which I fixed for free. I'll never call this guy again.
