This happened because in the past when I made appointments I had to cancel them due to the expense, The shop is very expensive and if the person can't afford having their hair coiffed then they need to cancel and reschedule. Stephen B. was my hairdresser and he is no longer working there due to a severe accident he had in his home. Extremely frustrating experience with Thread Bar's Washington Square location and their handling of…read moreClassPass. I went in person to schedule a lash lift and tint and specifically told the employee I wanted to use my ClassPass credits. When I asked how to book it through ClassPass, she told me, "Don't worry about it. You don't need to book it on there since we made the appointment here." On the day of my appointment, only one hour beforehand, I received a call saying they couldn't honor it because the Washington Square location doesn't use ClassPass. Five minutes later, they called back and said they would accommodate me. I again made it very clear that I wanted to use ClassPass and was willing to go to whichever location accepted it. They specifically told me to go to Washington Square. After my service, I was then told I couldn't use ClassPass because I hadn't booked through the app--even though the same employee who performed my service was the person who originally told me I didn't need to. Their explanation was that they're "fairly new on ClassPass and still figuring it out." I understand being new to the platform, but their mistake and repeated misinformation should not cost the customer money. I paid for the service, but I won't be returning and will be reporting the experience to ClassPass. If you're going to participate in ClassPass, your staff should understand how it works and honor what customers are told.

When I first walked in, I was so self conscious but by the end, I forgot I was basically stripped down in front of a stranger. Evelyn made me so comfortable and she talked to me about all of the issues I had with my skin. She helped me decide on what was good for me and I could not be happier with the results. In all my years of spray tanning, nobody has ever topped Evelyn's work. I go to her because she prides herself on providing quality service. And it shows. My appointment was for Saturday at 2:30. Parking is available at Aldersgate across the street from the salon, but luckily I found street parking. If you're visiting the salon on a weekday, definitely park at Aldersgate. As always, Evelyn was very thorough with me. She explained what she was doing when she was doing it, and made sure the tan was flawless once she finished spraying me. Evelyn provides an exfoliant, aftercare instructions, and lotion to take home with you to use after your shower. The salon itself is cozy and quiet; the perfect addition to the Willow Grove area. Besides spray tans, Evelyn also does sugaring and lash extensions. It's not often that I get spray tans, but I will always refer Evelyn to my family and friends.

Ciera gets the service done fast and leaves no trace behind. I really appreciate that from a wax center. I had a horrible experience years ago at another salon (Not European Wax Center) and the lady that did my wax took over an hour, not to mention she was getting some kind of weird kick out of me being in pain. I'm so grateful for the wax specialists here at European Wax Center, notably Ciera for always taking my appointments and getting me in and out quick. The ladies at the front desk are always very kind and get me checked out quickly. Always rebook for the next appointment. A day or two before my appointment they send me a text asking to confirm, which honestly has been really helpful considering there are times I don't know what my body is going to do and if I'll be able to get a wax done. So I'm grateful for them sending reminders. The room is always clean when I walk in. I know Ciera keeps her work Station sanitized before and after every guest. Full story; My sister and I arrived for our appointment time with a few minutes to spare. My sister ends up going back first and comes out two minutes later. Apparently her armpit hair was not long enough to be waxed, and my sister was very upset. Not only was her waxing specialist very rude, with no customer service, not even a hello, But in her confirmation email, there was no instruction on how long the hair needed to be in order to be waxed. Her specialist didn't make her feel welcomed at all. I end up waiting 25 minutes past my appointment time to be seen (and was only seen because I asked for anyone available). I ended up asking the receptionist if I could go to anybody else if somebody was available, especially since it sounded like I was not going to be seen for a while. The only reason I am giving two stars instead of one is because Ashlie was phenomenal. She was so friendly and inviting, walked me through every step of the process, and was just overall phenomenal. There were apparently two staff available the entire time I was waiting for my appointment slot. I did not book with a specific stylist in mind, but waiting 25 minutes past my appointment time was ridiculous. Especially because the person who was going before me was not taken until my appointment slot.
